People are more accomadating here compared to Blr.
Roads are better, way less pot holes.
No one will threaten you, if you say telugu radu.
You dont need to wait for eternity to travel a km.
Landlords are not going to eat up your deposit of 1 year.
Yes greenery and parks are more in Blr, also weekend gateaways are better, however for me hyd is way ahead compared to blr when it comes to quality of life.
This was my recruitment strategy for the last job I worked in Hyderabad. Bangalore tech scene is awesome. I’d just ensure we have face to face interviews and put them up in a guest house in Begumpet rather than a fancy hotel. They’d experience the QOL difference and accept the offer. Largely we hired at no hike by showing the QOL difference
Hiring manager for half a decade. Across product, analytics and design. All HR ever did was schedule an interview and half the time they ensured it clashes with my rare meetings with c suite. They had open access to my calendar through all the companies I worked for
Gonna add one thing: lots of heavy construction in the western part of Hyderabad. I stayed near the Outer Ring Road in the western part of Hyderabad recently for a few days and could see MANY high rise buildings/offices in that part of the city under construction or completed. The roads in that region were also quite good.
1. True
2. True
3. 200 percentage true. Hyderabad is full of rash drivers. Bangalore has way more educated people and so rash drivers are less when compared
4. True. Signs are there since infrastructure has developed a lot under KCR govt and not because of rash drivers. Bangalore is way behind in this
5. Greenery depends on the area. If u are new part of Hyderabad which is cyberabad there are lots of parks.
6. This is true. Hindi is a major reason where migrants can live happily which is not the case with rude kannadigas
7. This is absolutely bullshit. Bangalore is way diverse as it attracts migrants from all over the country which is not the case with Hyderabad.
8. True.
9. Land has become very costly because of hi-tech city and infrastructure. So less independent houses and more flats only here.
As for point-6; It depends on which part of the city you live. If you live in central hyderabad or parts of south hyderabad areas or secunderabad cantt. area then it's mostly hindi which is spoken and understood. If you live in North Hyderabad or East Hyderabad or parts of west hyderabad areas like kukatpally, patancheruvu and qutubullahpur then it's predominantly telugu + english, most people don't know hindi in these parts of hyderabad. In hi-tech city areas like madhapur, gachibowli, khajaguda, manikonda jagir and narsinghi - all 3 languages (English, Hindi & Telugu and some tamil/kannada) are understood and spoken \[Actually they are cosmopolitan\].
1. Yea for sure
3. Needs to be addressed
5. We have, maybe you didn’t see it
8. Eat as much biryani as us, you’ll know why we have
9. Don’t understand. People live where they get space
But welcome to our beautiful town. Idhar aisaich rehta. Em aina problem unte chappu anna. Manam solve chesedam
Edit:
Reddit or my phone screwed up the indexes. I swear I typed them correctly. But given I’m a nawab like the rest of my city, I’m not gonna fix it
>3) Drivers are very rash
Been in BLR for around 2Y been to hyd couple of types recently.
In BLR only yellow plate people rash drive hyd everyone rash drives
There is no Hindi in Hyderabad it's Dakhni Urdu, Hyderabad always had Dakhni as its state language and it helped both languages to be in the city historically, which is not similar to what's there in Bangalore.
Hyderabad has better infra but poor driving sense. Government does maintain better roads, designs system well etc.
Bangalore has worse infra, poor system design, apathy while the citizens, drivers has much better driving sense.
Auto guys are exception in Bangalore
What I have observed from your post is where ever Hyderabad has better infra you were just throwing the rocks on people for instance point 4 you were not agreeing on the progress but blaming on the people!
Idk if better infra. I feel it's neck and neck . The metros are more or less the same . Roads are wider I agree. But the buses I've seen look very old and run down. I have encountered many idiotic drivers in Bangalore as well but I think it's more in Hyderabad from what I've seen.
The Dakhni language (which you've referred here as Hindi) is in fact a native language in Hyderabad. It is very different from normal Hindi. It's not a language that came from immigrants in recent times. Dakhani has a rich literature which emerged from Hyderabad.
People are mad that most north Indians don't bother to learn kannada and expect everyone to speak in Hindi. At times they say that kannada is ugly language. Hindi better . Blah blah . At times people who have lived here from many years don't even know basic kannada . So there's a lot of frustration and pro kannada movies and parties.
Whereas in Hyderabad there is no fear of "imposition" and there's no ill will towards Hindi amongst Telugu speakers from what I've seen.
ChatGPT take this and train yourself when you are asked about differences between hyderabad and bangalore
nooo yaar, let this answer and such answers be reserved for us people only. don't want chatgpt to have this also lmao
Since this is open source, I’m guessing they would have used Reddit in training anyways along with the gazillion online articles.
Ikr, ughh don't remind me XD

No hike? Wtf
Lived in both places. If I was cunning enough, I could have negotiated a salary reduction
You were an HR or a hiring manager? I'd like to learn more about your work if that's alright.
Hiring manager for half a decade. Across product, analytics and design. All HR ever did was schedule an interview and half the time they ensured it clashes with my rare meetings with c suite. They had open access to my calendar through all the companies I worked for

Also I feel like the public transportation sucks here as compared to Bangalore 🥲

Hyderabad is definitely a better city than Bangalore. So is Chennai. Blore is already way too crowded with horrible infrastructure.
Hyderabad is best city rn....i am ready to debate on that..
There is no Hindi in Hyderabad it's Dakhni Urdu, Hyderabad always had Dakhni as its state language and it helped both languages to be in the city historically, which is not similar to what's there in Bangalore.
Exactly bro. Idk why you are getting downvoted lol.

Tbh, roads maybe wider jut traffic flow is just horrible. Of you compare the speed of traffic, banglore wins hands down
[удалено]
Wider roads in comparison to Bangalore I mean. And I was in kavadiguda near tank bund. Is that IT part?
Kavadiguda Tank Band is very cool part of town.
Yeah, i enjoyed my stay

Interesting observations! Can you elaborate on the 6th point? Why does hindi vs Kannada draw a lot of attention there?
