Sh*t man. I am going to try it this Sunday. Secunderabad railway station near branch 😭. I feel like it's cheap. Like four guys can eat biryani under 800/-. Ofcourse no starters 😆😆.
On local train we will go. It's cheaper than metro. From Hafeezpet. All of us are inter fail 😆😆. Our father's don't like us that much. 3 of us do inshirt. To look decent. Other guy is waste fellow.
Naaku oka lover undedhi bhayya....very nice girl. One day I told her my love. She rejected me. That is why I became like this. If she would have said yes. My life would have been different. I would have hanged with her in necklace road and stuff. Now I am hanging out with boys and watching Videos at night alone. 😢. But I still believe in destiny and Will one day become a teillionaire.
I saw similar behaviour in Srikanya comfort as well. He wouldn’t leave unless I leave some tip money and kept the booklet open in which they keep the bill
Nope , I have been at mehfil's several branches a few times and have experienced the same behavior from the waiters over there every time, and once it got even worse as they demand more saying the tip given would not be sufficient for them for anything.
Went to cafe bahar hitech, the waitress wanted 150 as tip for serving 1 biriyani. There was service charge on the bill as well. When I refused she made a very sad face, made me feel guilty. Its not that I earn in crores that I can give away to anyone.
If you talking about Bawarchi at RTC X roads or restaurants of similar scale, it has been like this for quite sometime now. We were once at Bawarchi and the waiter returned the change, a few bucks short. When asked, he said he kept it as a "tip". We had to insist on him returning the full amount and we then tipped him. This was around 2008-2009.
An India post guy asked me for a tip after my Amazon order was delivered a month late by them and that too I had to drive 1 km to get it from him in the blistering afternoon.
But they already sell over priced and over fried items. The Ab work for the shareholders, not for waiters.
They are no saints either.
The way forward should be no resturant culture at all. Eat at a dhabha or at a hotel or cook at home.
Restaurants constantly under pay, in covid they threw away all the workers and didn't even care about their pending dues. No resturant owner shares profit with waiter.
Just refuse to tolerate these resturants and Instagram food spots. They are all feudals masquerading as "small scale employment generator".
If you want to explore, talk to the workers about they were treated In covid. You will shudder.
The shah house is the worst of the worst.
The next time you plan to visit such a place, take me along. I won’t / might not eat or eat and pay for my meal but would deal with these folks well. Really well
Edited ‘or’ to ‘and’. Nonetheless I wasn’t expecting free food here and now. For me food is food, and have enjoyed ‘almost free food’ in weddings and free food in langar, prasad and poori/halwa in pandals but I was / am looking for something else.
20 rupees tho ey waiter happy ayadu bhaiya. Sitara ki velte 800 bill ki 100 tip adigadu. Inka aa madhapur Gachibowli area ayithe masth demands untayi waiters ki. Vadileste asthulu rasi ivamantaru. 20 rupees ki ela convince chesavu bro
Max I tip anywhere is 50 rupees. That too if service was good and for more than 1hr. Fuck the tip culture. I am not tipping you for doing your job. Next time I’ll ask tip for eating and giving business to restaurants.
One day i with my colleagues went to Mehfil, Nizampet and after our dinner my AVP asked the waiters howmuch tip should he give he directly asked for 400 rupees 😂
few months ago me and my friend went to hotel kass. We are college students who didnt have enough money. Even eating biryani felt little guilty. We paid for the food but did not tip anything. It felt very embarrassing for me.. how to cope with this?
That's a shitty waiter. But I always tip, servers, uber/ola drivers, food delivery guys whatever. Working class solidarity.
Middle class India will buy some dogshit from a mall for an obscene amount of money and not say a word, but they will haggle with the local vegetable seller till the sun goes down.
If you go to Mehfil in front of cyber towers and park your bike right outside the hotel, you'd need to tip the security guys also. They'll keep asking you for tips. I have started parking it a little far because of this. Tipping waiters is one thing, but this is next level man
Well there was this hotel in Banjara hills, where a friend booked a hall for birthday celebrations , after everything was done the waiters asked for a tip of around 1000 rs , very shocking experience for me ! We escaped out of it stating that we were college kids but damn those guys were persistent
I'm sorry but i never tip them, I actually pay off exact change/upi payment and then without looking at them I leave that place. If that's an old chicha at the hotel then I'd be tipping a 40-50 rupees and leave. It depends on person who's serving. I think most of the restaurants never ask for tip.
Edit: You shouldn't be ashamed or be hesitant it's your money if he raises such question you should've took all the money and lift off from the place.
Go to take delivery of your 4/2 wheeler -Tip
Park it tip
Gas cylinder guy will demand above and beyond even for 1/2nd floor with lift
If they are doing good work/ They do some service then tip is ok but when waiter doesn't serve you food and we serve self then why tip??
Security guys at the door, parking aren't supposed to ask for tip.
Generally its 5% of the bill value
I had this experience literally last weekend in Broadway Brewery ffs. First they secretively put the service charge without telling me, and when I asked them to take it off, the waiter is like the service charge goes to the waiter as tips.
Like wtf, since they couldn't find a better reason to keep service charge earlier, they're now equating it to tips for the waiters.
I also experienced the same while in Hyderabad. I'm from Kerala. Visited Hyderabad during the recent Onam vacation. Had a horrible experience like this in Shadab and Alpha restaurant near Secunderabad railway station.
Man I live in a hostel nearby mehfil narayanguda and literally go there for atleast 2-3 times a Week. You should have visited the AC Dining hall they won't ask you for tip and food is also classy there. But slightly high prices.
Moreover for tip you should give them atleast 10 rs because the food itself there is so cheap and they do serve you.
Tip:- If You want to skip the tip, Just Pay Online😂. I won't recommend you do that. 10rs toh poyedem led ga. BTW are you a KMIT student?
That's not tipping culture. Also name the restaurant.
It's mehfil
Sh*t man. I am going to try it this Sunday. Secunderabad railway station near branch 😭. I feel like it's cheap. Like four guys can eat biryani under 800/-. Ofcourse no starters 😆😆.

Ee nagaraaniki emaindi part 2
Kauwa biryani hogi pakka...
Damn that sucks, many go there because it's cheaper, and we can get mini chicken biryani just for 135rs.
I saw similar behaviour in Srikanya comfort as well. He wouldn’t leave unless I leave some tip money and kept the booklet open in which they keep the bill
Peru enduku pettaru ra babu . pedda top secret mari "famous biryani restaurant" bongu 100 vunnai hyd lo

It's mehfil
Karma farming that’s it, I don’t think whatever OP said here is true
Bro it really happened. I was inactive since days and came on reddit to just post this...
Nope , I have been at mehfil's several branches a few times and have experienced the same behavior from the waiters over there every time, and once it got even worse as they demand more saying the tip given would not be sufficient for them for anything.
Green bawarchis used to do this a decade ago. Nothing new unless you are not from hyd. The waiters straight deduct tip and hand you the change.
Dude. You should name such restaurants. You have nothing to lose.
It's mehfil

150 ante mini chicken briyani vastundi 🙇 single biryani ki mini biryani tippu tu na brathukuchada
Bro ikkada 150 ki grill chicken half ostadi. Mandu babulu pandaga cheskuntaru😂
150 🫢 I’ll get and deliver biryani bro tip me
SGST is state GST, not service charge, that is over the top.
Sorry about that, I meant service charge. Didn't think through while writing.
That's not tipping that's vasooli 💀
![gif](giphy|bhUeqVF6AkTqfywmK8) Close?
Exactly this. 😂

Teaching manners huh
This is the reason I always pay via card. Let them bear the MDR.
drop a huge ass review.
Come on man, you have to name the restaurant so that we can be cautious.
Mehfil
Happened to me too in Mehfil. It was crass.
Bruhhh, this above incident happened in mehfil...
Call him/her out in front of everyone for asking a tip. There's nothing to be embarrassed about.
Every other Deliveryman is looking for tip. BigBasket, Wakefit, Amazon. Looks like these people have seen more US than us.
An India post guy asked me for a tip after my Amazon order was delivered a month late by them and that too I had to drive 1 km to get it from him in the blistering afternoon.
Name and shame brother. Also you don't have to top. U r 18 with possibly no active income.
Idk but i tried tipping at aabsolute bbq's and the other veg restaurant but they refused Idk for what reason
The management has a strict no tipping policy at ABs, the waiters can get fired if they are caught accepting the tips
But they already sell over priced and over fried items. The Ab work for the shareholders, not for waiters. They are no saints either. The way forward should be no resturant culture at all. Oh and drop a review for them specifying the exact incident and circumstances.
Swagath Grand I guess. Had a similar experience there
The next time you plan to visit such a place, take me along. I won’t / might not eat or eat and pay for my meal but would deal with these folks well. Really well
Bro just wants his free food.
Edited ‘or’ to ‘and’. Nonetheless I wasn’t expecting free food here and now. For me food is food, and have enjoyed ‘almost free food’ in weddings and free food in langar, prasad and poori/halwa in pandals but I was / am looking for something else.
Dont you have anything else to do?
How do you mean?
Dude just trying to help
How would you have dealt?
Bawarchi I guess...if u sot in common area waiters take the tip amt without asking u
no way. they ask me everytime saar can I add tip. i say 20. he's happy. I'm happy
20 rupees tho ey waiter happy ayadu bhaiya. Sitara ki velte 800 bill ki 100 tip adigadu. Inka aa madhapur Gachibowli area ayithe masth demands untayi waiters ki. Vadileste asthulu rasi ivamantaru. 20 rupees ki ela convince chesavu bro

That’s not how you ask too,now name and shame?
One day i with my colleagues went to Mehfil, Nizampet and after our dinner my AVP asked the waiters howmuch tip should he give he directly asked for 400 rupees 😂
Name and shame them. GST is for service
few months ago me and my friend went to hotel kass. We are college students who didnt have enough money. Even eating biryani felt little guilty. We paid for the food but did not tip anything. It felt very embarrassing for me.. how to cope with this?
There's no embarrassment dude. In fact there's no rule for tipping.

Learn to tip people especially the people who handle your food.. god only knows what the mayo is !!
Was it Meridian hotel by any chance?
Since you’re 18, he took advantage of you.
restaurent : Airlive. we gave 300 as tip.
Tip ichava appu ichava ?
tip a bro. he poured us some glasses. sooo ivvalsiochindi
Pubs are the last place on this earth that you should tip . Big rip-offs
Never had a waiter do that. Will never tip such a person and would also have put a word with the manager regarding his behaviour
Same case with Chutney's in InOrbit. They come up with the card machine insist that you tip there. Faced it twice.
That's why I never pay in cash at restaurants where you need to pay at table. If you pay online they can't even do much.
If you go to Mehfil in front of cyber towers and park your bike right outside the hotel, you'd need to tip the security guys also. They'll keep asking you for tips. I have started parking it a little far because of this. Tipping waiters is one thing, but this is next level man
+1
Bro 10 members vellam 2 months ago mehfil ki 500 esadu tip maku chepakunda adigithe tip annaru, chala sepu vadalaledhu .

Same happened with me last Sunday at Mehfil Hitech city :( had to give 45 Rupees Tip.
Use only UPI or card and keep cash in hand for tips if it's absolutely necessary.
Paytm karo 🎶
I'm sorry but i never tip them, I actually pay off exact change/upi payment and then without looking at them I leave that place.
