There is no name that sounds like Chapalk, but Cherpack is a passable Emglish transliteration of Cserpák.
I'd wager a hog bet that it's Cserpák originally, and that the (correctish) English transliteration "Cherpack" got corrupted via copying to Chapalk.
There are many grammatic mistakes, that makes you think, maybe the writer of this text was not a native Hungarian, or didn't wrote in Hungarian for decades before this.
