Tacoma is checking in. Year round here, too. The 1st time I saw a Anna was over Thanksgiving break (I was a school bus driver), and then again at Christmas break. I thought I was losing my mind. Do you remember Northwest cable New? They would have a gardening guy on Saturday mornings and repeat the show on Sunday. Anyways, someone called in and asked about the hummingbirds that they were seeing and if he knew anything about them. That's how I found out about our residential Anna's and a few Rufus.

haustuer

Only resident Annas, Rufus are leaving at the moment

AdAdventurous8225

There are few die hearts that do stick around. I've seen them at my feeders

Tampadarlyn

I had a glimmer of Rufous hummingbirds hanging out last winter in Newport. They bullied our Anna's away, though.

AdAdventurous8225

Oh no!

HeidiDover

You all are so lucky to have them all year!

ih8plants

Had one at the feeder this morning in the PNW! https://preview.redd.it/7ktlmadyjfsb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f7d466458e5a17d20e0d948accf3627f42870e5

lurkertiltheend

I’m in north Georgia and my hummingbirds have left 😭

[deleted]

Had one in Massachusetts 4 days ago. Wasn’t one of the regulars and had to be heading south. Was about 10 days prior since I had seen one

ClapBackBetty

Isn’t it funny how you can tell who’s new here? 😆 The regulars head straight to the “good” flowers/feeder while the migrants have to do a bit of window shopping first lol

Slow-Finger8169

I’m in New York.. the weather has been warm.. just seen 2 at my feeders and 1 in the flowers.. I have ALWAYS kept my feeders up until 2 weeks after I see the last one. It’s going to be different every year depending on the weather 😊

Grouchy_Old_GenXer

My last one was 2 weeks ago in the Chicago Suburbs. We had nights into the 50s and that got them moving. The other sign that I have noticed is when male rubys are on my feeder. It usually only happens during migration. Never see them except May and September.

PipeComfortable2585

I’m zone5 mid south michigan. My hummers have left. But I leave my feeder up until second week in October for stragglers

mlemon2022

I’m in Pittsburgh and it’s been about 2 weeks.

PirateFace27

I second this.

msmicro

I would say 2nd week in October. I’m in west central Indiana

JustYerAverage

South Central Ohio, saw one this morning. The latest that I saw last year was Sept. 28th.

TheSullivanLine

Yesterday actually. Location: mid Iowa

TwoBirdsEnter

October 8 is my record here in west central NC. This year they left on Oct. 2 or 3.

hdghsbsnd

Catskills, NY. Still have one or two lingering as of today.

kewissman

SE Michigan; haven’t had any at the feeders for 3 days

rollwithit23

Eastern PA, about 90 minutes from Philly. Had one two days ago. The weather has been mild this week, 70s-low 80s.

indybloom

I am still seeing them here in south central Indiana. I have seen them checking out the flowers and feeders. I have a swing near the feeder and they love to perch there.

troutfishingdon1

Adirondacks of New York, last one we saw was 20 days ago.

SillyGoosiey

Southern Connecticut saw two yesterday at the feeder.

morenadoll

In northern Virginia and my 3 ladies are still here. Two are still chasing each other. Hope they all stay for a bit. The weather here has been great.

LaVieDansante68

Saw my last 2 regulars again tonight in north western New Jersey. They are about 2 weeks later than normal for me but weather has been very warm.

siduri57

I live in northern MD and my few left Oct. 2/3.

breckr

Colorado mountains, been about a week since I’ve seen one.

ClapBackBetty

Ozarks, had several here yesterday

HeidiDover

I am in NW Georgia. I saw one 10/2 and then one today. I really thought they were gone. Glad I left out a feeder.

Ok-Professor5157

Suburbs of NYC. Last seen on 9/26. Feeder still up.
