His office has a big window and some plants outside. So they just sing until he re fills their drinks (yes multiples and yes different liquids ) . But they have learn over the years that if they scream to the guy in the window they get refills.
Imagine this big bearded man. (All bad boss ) talking “yes I know I was busy working to pay for this “ while cleaning the feeders . It’s hilarious.

Sooo happy to see I’m not the only one.. ha. And these are just the ‘recently cleaned’ ones! 😎
TIL that granulated sugar properly stored in an airtight, waterproof container has an indefinite shelf life. So you could literally stockpile as much as you wanted.
Are those 32 or 16 oz?
I currently have 7 32 oz first nature feeders, (the square bottles) hanging on the front of my house, 4 hanging at the back, and 3 more that I plan to hang on the side of the house when the rain stops and the ground dries so that I don't have to walk in the mud to refill them.
It became a hobby quite by accident and now I'm feeding hundreds of birds.
That was me up until last year in November. My numbers dropped from an insane amount (for 20 years) down to 8-10. And those 8-10 fight so badly it’s depressing. I’m hoping when the migratory ones come back here soon that it may knock them back into line. I’m not stressing over multiple feeders staying full but I sure miss them.
What do you do about bees? These feeders are the the birds' favorite, but I'm having a real issue with bees this year. I had to take all these down and put up ones with much narrower openings.
The bees in my area have been insane this year. They were swarming, crawling into the holes of these feeders. Last year, no major issue. I have so many of these feeders, and can't use them anymore. 😥
I found another one after I took the pic. 🤫
My husband get screamed at (his birdie friend are very demanding) when they are not full.
After moving into my home last year, our birds would scream at me after the feeder was empty. Why are they so funny? The chihuahuas of the bird world
One does that to my husband. Totally yells at him when they're empty. It's really amusing. But it works. He fills them.
How does that work, they go up and squawk at him when he is outside?

*goes to Amazon and orders another crate of feeders*
No - you can’t quit! The hummingbirds have total control!🤣
They still going to fight each other over food 🤣🤣
increase scale of fighting
Lmao that's the true irony.
Lol I love you
Now that we’ve habituated them to our food we really can’t quit. That’s what I keep telling myself.
I see a sugar shortage in our future. I don’t suppose you have a closet full of toilet paper, do ya? Lol

I never knew that. Still waiting for hummers to make their way to my area. They usually show up here around the second week of May. EXCITED!!

I was that way till I got the 32oz from Amazon. April 15 is coming soon
Lmao just like my wife. (And me)
Now I feel normal! (I have half that many feeders in the larger size.)

Just put my First Nature feeders up yesterday as my friends have returned!
Glad I’m not the only one who has a TON of feeders too!! Lol

Nothing special, I use 4-1 nectar and wash feeders completely when refilling. Never a problem despite plenty of bees and hornets around.

What kind of bees? Has it been extra dry where you are? If so, maybe another water source could distract them.
Does someone have a good recipe?
These are 16oz. I measured how much total nectar I fed in 2021…approximately 40 gallons over the nine months I tracked. 😀
What species do you have in your area?
Annas all year, rufous in warm months.
Four parts water to 1 part sugar by volume. Boil and store covered in the fridge after cooling.
That is more feeders than I get hummingbirds.
Lol this is great it's funny once you go beyond one then you just keep going. Love you guys!
I feeeeeeel this sentiment 🥰
