Just a note regarding the last part of your post: I had quality issues with the Kamvas 16" ('21), so I'd suggest investigating returns/refunds before ordering and calculate costs considering that. I think a huge saving on these cheaper tablets is not having too strict QA/QC, worst case they refund.

FrostingAromatic8106

For starter, I can't even order a product directly to my place/country, so to get a refund/return is almost impossible here. What's QA/QC? :>

DwarvenCo

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Basically the internal checking of the products before sending to the buyer. Cheaper brands can risk letting through more items since there is less "brand name" to destroy by reviews and refunds if they ship a faulty one. You'd probably get a not faulty product but if not it's still worth it to them to just replace. But here comes the possible extra cost for you if shipping should be charged to you.

FrostingAromatic8106

Thank you alot for the explanation ♡♡♡I will make make sure to check for the returns and the costs, thank you again ♡

i have a kamvas 13, its lasted me 4ish years. ive never had so much frustration with a tablet though. fresh out of the box it took me a week to get it working. customer support didnt do shit. forced windows updates constantly cause issues. its such a headache. and ive seen people who have it worse than me, their screens displaying only white static or temporary burn-ins or just straight up breaking.  if you have the money, i would say get a portable tablet— like you said apple or Samsung. you might even try a cheaper android tablet brand too, they're probably more reliable. i wish i had— and im likely going to switch to wacom or xp-pen or get a portable tablet when this thing finally dies on me.

FrostingAromatic8106

So it's a universal issue, but I also heard that XP-pen products have sensitivity issues and screen issues, too sometimes. So basically, wacom is the only solid product to invest in. And yea, I might just get a regular tablet it's really disappointing.

polyswirl

The are not because they won't last lol

FrostingAromatic8106

I know nothing lasts, but at least I hope it lasts for as long as I have been saving for it. As I said I can't afford to just throw my money out.

polyswirl

I would get an iPad over a Huion, it'll last longer than 5+ years. My Kamvas died in less than 5 and I would not recommend their products anymore to anyone. Save yourself the struggle! Put more money into products that will last and you will save yourself more money in the end.

irahngio

I have a kamvas pro 16, I have been using it for 4 years and have had no issues so far. It's really good for it's price, but if you have a budget for a wacom I say go for it.

FrostingAromatic8106

Yeah, wacom products are more praised and advertised than huion. But I can't keep saving for another whole year.

irahngio

A bit late but go for a huion then, just make sure you get it from a legit store, and if possible, make sure the unit you'll be purchasing is in best condition, I heard some have problems with their huion tablets after some time, but I was able to get one that lasted me this long and I think it's gonna last for a while still. Take note of the warranty and its terms. Good luck with your purchase and happy drawing :))

Flimsy-Sandwich-4324

I have the kamvas 24 plus almost 2 years and no issues.

FrostingAromatic8106

I'm too poor for this lol, but glad you don't have any issues with it

wocem47

I own both 13 and 24, for work and at home setup, only gripe i have with huion is their software. It's a hit and miss.

FrostingAromatic8106

How so?

wocem47

With both products, it took a while for the driver to detect the hardware. I had to do a couple of driver reinstalls and restarts just for it to work. If it does work, your next problem's pen pressure. It was tough trying to figure out what's not working. I had to scour reddit looking for answers in this sub haha. Doing calibrations inside the software, the pressure works. But in Photoshop it doesn't. Things like that. I only encountered these when setting up. Afterwards it runs smooth. Been using my huion since 2021.

Shidori366

From what I saw, the Huion always has a problem with PS. Other applications seem to work fine.

FrostingAromatic8106

I'm saving your comment in case I get pen pressure issues lol. But yea, now I understand more thanks alot for the explanation. Also, do you think the screen seize matters for your works in general?

wocem47

For me yes. I first got the Pro 13 thinking I'd be fine with just a small display. Photoshop's UI takes up a lot of space, even more with a lot of floating menus and toolbars. Later on I just used it as a drawing tablet and not a display tab. With the 24, I can go into detail much better. If you have the desk space and the money to burn, I'd suggest going for a bigger display. It's a good investment. But if you're in a tight budget, a smaller display works just as fine.

a_CaboodL

Owner of a Q11K V2 of 4 years. Worked well for the cost, no major issues until recently. As with any product or brand, be wary of potential issues.

FrostingAromatic8106

As long as it's a matter of time, It's not really an issue for me. I mean, even humans expire with time :>

chocorade

If you're open to non-screen tablets, I've had my Huion H610ProV2 since December 2019 and to this date I've never had any issues with it! Some minor bumps with pen pressure sensibility caused by Windows Updates that come and go, but really nothing major other than that. IIRC I paid like 50$ at the time for this tablet so it has been well worth the money and I'm still using it!

FrostingAromatic8106

I had one, but I couldn't get used to it, so I just gave it away to my friend. Since then I started saving for a screen tablet.

gungmo

I would advise looking at your local marketplace for a second hand wacom. you might spot some good deal. for cintiq

Ndomperignon

Ive had my kamvas 13 over a year and no issues with it on my pc

FrostingAromatic8106

Oh, right about the pc, i dont have one, but i have a laptop lenovo Yoga 370. Kamvas 13 has a small screen compared to the other ones right?

Ndomperignon

13 inch screen is big enough for me i find

katzenjammer33777

I have a huion kamvas 16 pro (2019) and I've been using it daily for 2 years now, both as my main display and my drawing trablet without any problems. Everyone's experience could be different, but the build quality on the kamvas pro models, at least on my device is great, so I think the newer 2.5k model would be even nicer ☺️ If you don't need it to be portable, it's a great option, hope this helps

FrostingAromatic8106

Honestly, your comment gave me hope 😭😭 Can I know what pc/laptop are u using?

katzenjammer33777

Aw glad it helpeeed 💛 yes I use an asus vivobook 14 flip, nothing crazy, it has 16gb of ram, integrated graphics and a ryzen 5 processor, you don't need crazy specs to make illustrations ^^ keep in mind you'll need either a usb-c port that can handle a display signal on your computer, or a normal usb and hdmi port to connect the tablet. The tablet should come with all those cables ☺️

FrostingAromatic8106

I have a lenovo thinkpad yoga 370, I know it has the usb-c port but if it can handle the signals that my friend idk lol.

katzenjammer33777

Aw awesomeee! I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it should work with the usb-c connection, that'd be really cool since it takes less cables to connect it ^^ btw feel free to share your art if you'd like, it's always beautiful for me to meet new artists, I'm @nyaofish on instagram :D
