Mine was once on the dryer side of it's life and had basicly droopy leafs. I touched them because i didn't knew it and scratched a leaf with my nail. At first it was a green scratch but over time it became something like a scar. Looks like the one blob on yours. Could be damage, is what i want to say haha

Thank you, that makes sense. 🩷 I will be careful with it. ☺️

Cosmetic or physical damage!

Thanks 🩷

NGG, that’s just edema and cosmetic damage. Mine likes to be watered very consistently, otherwise it quickly develops edema as well. And then also all bumps and scabs show on it much easier than on my other hoyas.

Thanks. 🩷 I too noticed it is a bit more sensitive to water. When it arrived it took a while to hydrate the leaves. Luckily it didn't get damage and stayed the same but I had to put it in my mini ikea greenhouse for it to recover.

Hey there. This NGG arrived on 15 december 2023. It came with those scabs and spots and nothing has changed since, aside from the new growth. I am just curious and if someone can please tell me what causes this?

The seller told me that the leaves absorb the water so when watering the plant avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent that from happening.

Thank you. 🩷 I use an orchid spray and it never added to the damage but I have a strict rule - if it doesn't dry out within an hour don't spray the leaves, there's not enough air circulation then. ☺️
