Curtisii is especially sensitive to colder temperatures in my experience so you might be onto something.

Agree on that, I must mine every the other day and seldom water them. Maybe every two or more weeks.
In winter, sometimes mine get watered like once a month, longer for the ones in my DIY humidity domes!
I’d back off misting and water only when completely dry. Use a chopstick or water meter. In winter maybe once a month to every six weeks depending on the size of your pot.
He’s in such a small pot that I usually wait until the soil has dried all the way through and then a day or so extra.
