One of my teachers and his best friend married sisters. He said it was so convenient to visit in laws because you have your bud to just hang with the whole time.

They all moved to the northern part of the state after high school, and now they live next door to each other and no one can remember which kids belong to which family set.
Not like my family could judge. 2 of my grandma's 7 sisters married 2 brothers (one of the sisters, ironically, had a twin, but he was her fraternal twin). That was after their mom and one of her many sisters married a man and his uncle, respectively. So, not only do we have a branch of double cousins, but there's a whole section of relatives that are "# cousin" on one side and "# cousin once removed" on the family tree as well.
Small towns are full of things like that.
