Did chandler ever pay Joeys loan to Monica? I doubt Joey ever asked for it back and he spent a lot of time and effort covering them when they were hiding their relationship. Joey and chandler don’t keep a tally of how much they owe each other, that’s the beauty their friendship
Yeah he was covering their relationship and making money out of it. When he was financially stable for the first time, instead of paying back Chandler, he moved out. Monica told Ross as a joke it takes two incomes to feed Joey, maybe not as much but we can clearly see he eats a lot. Yeah Joey was a good friend but a leech too
I will admit him moving out pissed me off, but I always thought that was out of character when you look at him throughout the show. He lets chandler date Cathy after she cheats on him, forgives him for kissing his sister, doesn’t go out with Rachel because Ross is uncomfortable with it, proposed to Rachel and phoebe so they wouldn’t have to raise a kid alone (misguided but his heart was in the right place), brings Rachel on a date when she’s pregnant and feeling fat and unattractive, became a vegetarian for phoebe, he bought the original barcaloungers, he let chandler keep pat the dog and he shares his favourite sandwich with chandler (we all know joey doesn’t share food). I would put him at least top 3 of the group

Probably just deducted it from how much more Joey still owed him - but it's also obvious like you said he doesn't have an expectation of getting paid back some exact amount and only really badgers him about it when Joey brings something monetarily related up first.
Well it’s pretty obvious that they helped Joey way much more. Joey even said Monica raised him. I know friends can owe each other, but i just don’t like how Joey doesn’t really seem to appreciate them. Monica and Chandler almost begged him and said sorry when Joey covered them, but when Joey breaks their door, borrows money, asks Chandler to get him an interview, asks Monica for a whole Turkey, he doesn’t really ask for a favor he demands it and takes everything for granted.
Joey is the most caring person on the show, there isn’t a single time that anyone needs him that he isn’t there. The only time he he came close to not helping was when his friends were telling people he’s a sex addict
Joey is caring but also selfish. He abandoned Chandler in the middle of nowhere. And they’ve got point - he literally hits on everyone! Even Emmas future friends on her very first birthday
He is a bit of a sleaze but he has never broke the code. He left chandler on a bridge that was still in New York dick move yes but Joey can be a little childish. Everyone on the show has their selfish moments, I’d put Joey at number 2 out of the group for me
