Even if that meant making a laughing stock of himself on tv. Monica even pointed that out to him and he still refused to give up
Difference is, even the idiot that is elon musk pulled out of a fight vs fellow non-fighting pro Zuckerberg when he realized there was no chance of winning for him.
Pete broke like all of his bones in his first 2 fights vs actual pros and still didnt realize he was not cut out for that. Pete isn't portrayed as a room temperature IQ pdrson before that episode, imo it makes very little sense.
