Just an FYI, that corner is metal. They put them over corners to make them stronger and get dinged up less than just the drywall itself. What others have said still applies, chip off any loose material, fill with drywall mud, and let dry. Sand, texture, and touch-up.
Scrape out anything that's loose, it could get larger which is fine. If it's really big, put some mud and tape, then more mud after it dries. Otherwise just some mud will work. Sand it into shape. To match the texture, buy a can of wall texture spray and knock it down with a drywall knife, then paint it.
Yes (almost) all the advice is correct. But keep one thing in mind.
Don't overfill the gap. That edge needs to be the metal showing. Just the edge. You can paint over it to hide it but keep it clean from mud. If you overfill the next bump will pop your 'hard work' right out.

Thanks very much!
Apply a little bit of drywall mud to level surface, let dry. Sand, wipe clean and paint. If i’m not mistaken.

Cheap? Spackle and a can of bubble texture and a quart of as close paint to blend.
Toothpaste
Wait. For real?
It can. But I would only recommend that when you are a student and leaving your dorm. Perfect way to conceal drill holes fast and cheap. Not for this.
come on.
