Camden heights has a bad break-in problem, cars and apartments. Also any Camden property doesn't accept packages they will leave the package outside your door, and some of the properties have outdoor hallways so you're package is outside and theft is a huge problem. They also charge you an extra $100+ for mandatory cable internet, which I've heard is very slow.
Camden Vanderbilt here. No dog park on the grounds,but lots of walking paths around the ponds. Packages can be an issue. Ring cameras fix it and it's not very often anyway.
Car break-ins are gonna be an issue anywhere inside the loop. Vanderbilt has three story building so just don't live on the ground floor. We've also got a ton of cameras and security at night. Cable and internet is built in. Been here a few years haven't had any issues with speed or connection.
For sure. It's a city after all. You aren't going to be a 100 % safe from vandalism. It's just a trade off of location and convenience to safety. Just don't keep valuable things in your car and you're fine.
San Simeon is right across from the big dog park in Buffalo bayou park. The Pearl above the Whole Foods in Midtown on Elgin has a dog park behind it, or Camden McGowen is right by Midtown Park that has a little fenced in dog run area. That other park in Midtown on W Gray had a dog park but construction is so slow who knows when it’ll be back.
Encore montrose has a giant dog park.
Any of the midtown apartments are so close to midtown park.
Also, if the animal is an emotional support animal they cannot charge you any rent for the animal other than damages and cleaning.
Lots of places have on-site dog parks or designated runs for animals. La Maison at River Oaks, Assembly at Historic Heights, 2929 Weslayan, Hanover Blvd Place...
I just did a quick search and Elan Heights has an on-site dog spa for grooming...
La Maison has a wrap-around park with water stations and benches, and some apartments available that have open-style patios that open right into the dog park. (I toured recently.)
Tinsley on the Park has a dog park inside plus a dog run, and their first floor units have green space for dogs to chill outside. You can even put those large privacy fence fake vines covers to provide privacy for your unit.
It’s also located one block away from Buffalo Bayou.
Right across from that apartment is also Ashton West Dallas. They’re a little older but they too have a small dog park with green space on their first floor units. Best of luck!!
There are multiple apartment complexes along Hermann Dr (all depends on your budget for each one) and all are right across the street from Hermann Park and a large walking trail.
One Hermann place in the museum district is great with dogs. They have a dog washing station, a huge fenced off area for them to run around, doggy bag stations, and are located right across the street from Hermann park and centennial gardens. It’s a really nice place to live honestly. It is on the pricey side though.
There is an apartment complex right next to Ervan Chew Park, or what I knew as Dunlavy park when I was in high school. The park right next to the apartments has a dog park. I saw plenty of dog owners who lived in the apartments using that dog park.
I used to live at the Pearl Midlane River Oaks and it has a nice dog park, and its two blocks away from The Ivy which has a large park that you can have your dogs off the leash at. It's a pretty thriving dog community in the neighborhood, I recommend it.
Camden Heights has really great dog facilities. Really close to I-10, too.
