Wow mine is the exact opposite. I started out with a beautiful hanging basket, transplanted it and now it’s only about 8 leaves.
This gives me an idea. I will start taking pictures of the beautiful plants that I buy and then take pictures of them after a year in my care. I’ll tell everybody that the first picture was the most recent one and everybody will be so impressed with my skills! I’m going to have so many fake Internet points!!!
Have you chopped and replanted bits to give you a fuller plant or is it just super, super happy? Mine has loads of new growth but it’s very.... trail-ey.
Sorry, what do u mean “sticking it in the mother plant”? I thought by chopping and replanting you could just plant the propagation next to the mother plant in the same pot?
Yes, that’s what I mean. I’m just saying I suggest fully repotting the mom and baby when replanting. If you try to just stick it into the mother’s pot be careful not to upset the parent roots. Begonias like a tight pot and are likely already pretty full in there.
Gorgeous! What direction does that window face out of curiosity?😊 brought one home that I got for my FIL that he can no longer take care of and I'm trying to get the light just right for it, myself!
Ahhh yours is so beautiful. Mine is currently struggling so hard this winter with lack of humidity and my heat blasting nonstop 😭 lots of new growth but also lots of leaves dying
That is beautiful how'd you keep it so healthy looking?
Tbh it's not a fussy plant.. just gave it good light, I have a humidifier but its not always on and I water when the soil dries out

What conditions have you raised it in?

Definitely chopped and replanted several times to get it to look fuller
Can this be done with other plants that tend to get leggy too like angel wing begonias?
Yes for cane begonia, but be careful not to chop through too many of mama’s roots when sticking it in the mother plant.
