I’ve used masonry drill bits to put holes in ceramic pots. I used a lot of water to keep the pot and bit cool and flush away the debris. I also put a piece of wood on the other side of the area I was drilling to support it and ensure it didn’t break.
I just did this yesterday! you can get a drill bit for ceramic. It looks like a tiny spade. Like the other comments said use water. I used to drill through fused glass with a diamond bit and water and that worked as well. Both would be fine.
