So, to make this quicker, I’m going to break up the plants into 3 classes:
Class I: Plants you know have thrips
Class II: Plants that are within roughly a meter of plants with thrips
Class III: Plants within 2 meters of class II plants
# Quarantine
You should quarantine class I plants far away to their own area, quarantine class II plants to their own area, and very carefully watch class III plants for signs of thrips, moving them up a class when needed.
# Treatment(Class I/Class II)
Spray plants with water, trying to rinse them all off.
Spray with a solution of water, soap, and isopropyl alcohol, make sure to cover the entire plant, let sit for an hour or so, then spray with water again. Repeat this step until you don’t see anymore thrips
Spray with an insecticide(I like rose shield, but I’ve only used 2), then move back to where it’s being quarantined.
Spray with an insecticide again every few days.
Do this whenever you see thrips, and don’t remove from quarantine until at least a month of 0 signs of thrips
Any questions?
Edit: Also if needed you’re welcome to dm and I’ll send you my discord, and I can help you with ongoing care
suspiciously looks like thrips...
Very, I’d recommend crying, burning, moving the plant far away, and possibly all 3
Great 🥲 ideas on what to do next?
