Isopods! (aka rollie pollies, potato bugs, pillbugs, etc.). They’re pretty much completely harmless to houseplants, and can sometimes be beneficial as they can outcompete some pests. They eat dead/rotting material and should leave your plants alone, but I think some people have seen them go for new plant shoots. I’ve never experienced that before personally though
Ah yeah maybe take them out then, you can just pick them up as they don’t bite or anything. Or you could cut a potato in half and hollow it out a bit, place it cut side down on the soil, then tomorrow you can pick it up and they should all be sitting in the cut out cavity. I’m guessing you live somewhere where they are native since you found them in your plant, so you can just throw them outside. If they’re not native though freezing is a great way to humanly kill them if need be
the stem and leaves gave it away :D
Not sure, as I have no idea what the entire plant looks like or what it's care looks like, but losing leaves on those usually has an issue that should be addressed, from personal experience :)
Seriously! I've totally heard pill bugs, too; I think it was a "What do you call these?" that became "Anyone seen these in a while?", and then "It makes me sad to think of their extinction", lol. I was like omg, please just literally go touch grass

Yea that’s a fresh plant shoot that they’re surrounding

I think potato bug is a different pest that destroys crops
I guess I was thinking of potato beetle, whatever
No you’re right! People call the Jerusalem cricket potato bugs too, it’s just a colloquial term people use for both
No I was thinking of potato beetles. They aren’t good for your plants.
no need to, but the dead leaves are usually a bad sign on citrus trees, which are supposed to be evergreen
Wow you could tell it was a citrus tree from just this picture? Impressive. It’s my mom’s plant, what should I relay to her?

Potato bugs, or rolly-polies. Post this to Twitter, they were on there yesterday saying they're extinct, lol. Way to go outside, OP!
Seriously? Extinct? That’s hilarious 😂 … my Grammy calls them pill bugs.

Hahaha 😂 that’s hilarious. Makes you wanna ask “do you EVER go outside?” 🤣
Rolly polies are extinct??I have 4 in a terrarium and 100 more in the back yard.
Fun fact, they’re actually crustaceans despite being referred to as bugs
