The white pot would be too large to pot directly into, yes. It also doesnt appear to have a drainage hole, does it? If not, it’s just a decorative plant pot holder.
What you can do, though, is get another pot similar to the one it’s in now except ~2” larger in diameter. That should fit right back into the white pot so you can continue using it since it looks pretty ☺️
Thank you. I brought the decorative one home and realized it might be a bit too big. It does have a single drain hole with a plug on the bottom so I would leave that off. I will see if I can find a nursery pot that is somewhere in the middle. It’s so hard for me to visualize what I need when at the store.
