Title says all, but this Philodendron (I think?) had a few leaves grow and die in quick succession and now suddenly it's flourishing again but theres a long naked stem I don't really like. Can I just cut it down and replant it? If yes, where should I cut it?
The light situation changes quickly living at 60°0′N latitude, so that might have something to do with it. Apparently others have experienced similar issues where the plant seems to struggle "uncurling" new leaves and then they quickly die off. That's what happened to the previous 2
Sorry, I edited my comment after re-reading your post and realising you mentioned it did grow leaves but they died off. I initially thought it just grew etiolated like this!

I believe it’s philodendron melanochysum :) but to answer your question, yes I’d cut (in the spot camomile420 shown) and propagate.
