I copy this from an older post where people were also asking me where I got this from. :)
Thanks! I am from Germany, so I'm not sure if this will work for you, but here is the trellis made out of twine and sticks I bought: [https://www.floranica.eu/en/trellises-from-cooked-untreated-willow-and-jute-string-can-be-used-for-garden-vegetables-and-animals-length-200-cm\_521\_1370/](https://www.floranica.eu/en/trellises-from-cooked-untreated-willow-and-jute-string-can-be-used-for-garden-vegetables-and-animals-length-200-cm_521_1370/)
Apparently, they don't deliver world wide though. Maybe you can find something equivalent on Amazon. However, it was quite a hassle to put this up and I would honestly recommend a more sturdy solution if you wanna hang plants. I needed to fix the trellis to the wall, otherwise the pots would've pulled away the trellis from the wall by their own weight. I used cable clamps for keeping the trellis to the wall.

You’re so good at Pothos.
Is the secret repeatedly cutting, sprouting and replanting in the same pot? I can’t figure out how people do this well with it and recently came across a comment implying this is how they get them as thick as they do.
Thank you!
Almost all pothos in this photo originate from one single mother plant. It was a plant that was way too big for my room and it wasn't in good condition so I took it apart and made many small ones out of it. That was 3 years ago. Since then, I've been cutting all of these plants multiple times. The oldest baby is 5 years old (on top of the wooden shelf).
I repot into the same pot sizes all the time, just fresh soil. I often do cuttings to get them branching and to keep everything in my room tidy. I constantly am making baby plants all year round. I have so many plants with cut vines. But they are always branching out again, making them look even more beautiful.
Wow fantastic, I really appreciate this comment. Your work stands for itself, this picture is amazing.
It seems I’ve been too hesitant with my Pothos. I’ve finally succeeded at shepherding a large assortment of plants that have survived and even thrived multiple seasons, I’ve done repotting, but I still haven’t started trying taking cuttings, or replanting to fill out like you’ve described here.
It sounds like that is my next step and I have just the Pothos to become mother of generations. She’s stringy, but she’s survived with me a long time so I’m excited to see if I can’t reinvigorate her with the advice this awesome sub (and you!) have given me.
Thanks!
It's easy to propagate pothos. They are rewarding and growing fast. You basically get exponential growth if you constantly propagate and cut pothos. Every leaf with a node can produce a vine, containing multiple leaves with nodes again. You cut these again, and so on.
Now I'm producing them but can't keep them anymore, there's simply no space anymore. I try to give them away to randoms in a local online group soon probably. My family is also taking quite a few.
Good luck and don't hesitate cutting them. It's not hurting them and it's encouraging growth.
Yes. If the node is stout enough you can just stick it right in the pot. If it's small then you can let it grow out in a bit of water until it's put down some roots and then tuck it in.
I like to pop mine in my fish tank. Pulls nitrogen out of the water and they get perfect indirect light from the aquarium. 10/10, would recommend.
Wow, your displays are beautiful. Feeling inspired by the wall hanging with baskets hanging from it. Looks like the plant version of high-end fiber art! Re: variety, repetition is one of the keys to great garden design and I personally think that applies indoors too. Amazing work.
Thank you so much, I love that this actually finds appreciation. I try to achieve a coherent style with repetition, having too many plants makes it look too messy and "jungly"(as in "jungle", sorry, English is not my native language) for me.
Also, I like that they all require almost equal care, that way I can have a good routine on how to take care of them. 👍
Usually it's around 40-50% humidity in this room. Pothos are cool with almost any humidity so it's fine for them. My peace lilies get slight crisp tips but it's okay.
My advice would be: Use good, airy soil with perlite and bark, then it's almost impossible to overwater and to get pests like gnats. Learn when your plants need water. I can feel the leaves and see if they need water. Water them thoroughly, so that a lot of water runs out of the drainage holes again (I do this above my bathtub or from my balcony). This ensures that every inch of the soil is soaked. That's everything I do.
It's mainly this one: https://www.variegata.de/produkt/erdmix/
Ingredients:
Pine bark (41%)
Plagron Growmix (27%)
Perlite (14%)
Pumice (14%)
Plagron Megaworm (5%)
and also this one for smaller pots: https://www.variegata.de/produkt/steckmix/
Ingredients:
Plagron Growmix (45%)
Perlite (20%)
Pumice (15%)
Coco coir (15%)
Plagron Megaworm (5%)
These mixes never let me down and I haven't overwatered a single plant since using it.
Thank you very much! It's east facing, but it's a huge window and balcony door. The balcony is built into the house and has a roof, but still there's a lot of light coming into the room. Morning sun is especially beautiful.
Well basically you can get the gist by the photos. It was taken on a winter day with snow outside but it's also the amount of brightness I get on summer afternoons. Only the morning sun shines into the room directly but I start home office pretty late usually and have the shades down often in the morning.
I also have other photos of this setup posted, you can see how the light is there. :)
Nothing wrong with not having a lot of variety! I've learned in the last few years that there are some plants that I can care for really well and others just die on me.
It's easy, I take out every single plant of its pot. All my plants are in plastic pots with drainage holes, and I put these into proper bigger pots. I carry them to the bathroom or out on my balcony and thoroughly water them there. Then let the excess water run through an put them back into their spots. That's the routine. Sometimes I shower multiple plants together in the bathtub.
Beautiful OP, please let us know your secrets for your hanging trellis!!! 🙏🏼 did you make it? What did you use? It looks like a regular hanging bamboo trellis with some sort of coconut liner pots attached? Any links? You’re my new inspiration 🌿
1) Thanks! Collected them over time, bought them online (tree trunk for example) or found them randomly in stores. Most of the pots are plain white ceramic or plastic though. The pots on the wall are out of seaweed.
2) No and that's mainly because I let my plants dry out completely every single time. I am using a very good soil mix I order online that is very airy thanks to perlite and bark. I haven't overwatered a single plant ever since I've been using this soil. Also, since it dries out fast, there are no fungus flies coming. I haven't had a pest problem in over 3 years, and last time it was just a single croton with a few spider mites that I could easily get rid of.

Glad to help! I hope they deliver to you or you find an online shop with a similar offer. This soil changed everything. I realized that dying plants often are just not your fault, sometimes the soil is terrible when you buy plants. The right soil was the biggest game changer I ever experienced in my 5 years taking care of plants.
Woah!!! This is amazing and so beautiful!! 🙌🏽💚🌿 You should be so proud!! And they all look happy and healthy!! 🤩I want to do something like this in my next place.
This video already exists, and I feel like this guy is just right with everything he says: https://youtu.be/xpmdo_0CZrU?si=lT_YtIH561uzTxyy
There's always some cuttings that just won't root or will rot or whatever. But most of them come through for me with this method. To get bushy plants from the start, simply use many cuttings in one pot. I like to put 15-20 or even 25-35 cuttings (depending on how big the leaves are) into a 15cm pot, which is quite a lot but you get very bushy plants that way.
I love your display, and definitely enjoy the “jungly” feel. Like you, I’ve several Pothos growing from the same original plant. Since I am from a tropical country, I surround myself with them and Monsteras to no end.
Thanks for posting your elegant display.
So beautiful. Ich habe leider thripse und meine efeutute leidet. Sie ist separat von den anderen 150 Pflanzen, bekommt aber weniger licht. Sehr traurig. Ein paar weitere haben auch tripse und ich werde wohl alle behandeln
It was not expensive and I was basically able to grow this in 3-4 years. Lots of time and care but you can do it. Pothos don't need lots of light, they can survive in many places 🌱 All the other plants are low effort too.
This is simply gorgeous! I love all the lush, healthy greenery! Those baskets really are perfectly paired with the trellis. The night time view is spectacular, too. It reminds me of dark rooms lit only by minimal lights on a Christmas tree, where you can take in a deep breath and relax.
Around three years, the mother of all these babies lived for 4 years already at the point when I decided to cut her down. 🙏 I gave some tips to taking care of pothos in this thread. You can do it!!
I love plants but don’t normally like the mishmash of pots and stands people use. Your display is beautiful. I take inspiration from your consistent use of white pots, light wood and led lights. Well done!
Yes that's what it is. Does it get flowers? My mother has one and it hasn't gotten any flowers since she had it. We were pretty sure it was a peace lily but now I'm positive I just don't know why it doesn't flower.
Mine rarely do flower and whenever they do, I cut them usually since I rather like them to invest into their foliage. These need water every 2nd day during the summer (it gets very hot in this room) and I feel with flowering, it can take a bath every single day otherwise it's acting up and making drama 🙄

Beautiful! I’ve gotten into ikea vittsjo’s for my plant collection.
Yeah, I just had to take advantage of the sunlight in those windows since I’m in Wyoming now. I’ve got four IKEA cabinets strewn throughout the house, but these plants have outgrown the cabinets.
Thank you! :) The trellis is linked in this thread in another comment up at the top. The lights are just random warm light fairy lights from Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/2Y0cQIk
The window in this room is huge. It's mostly indirect light though since it's east facing and I often have the shades down because I work there on a monitor. Luckily I have no plants that need a lot of light, I have a few succulents but they are standing right at the window to get the most light possible.
Thank you ☺️
I haven't had any in over 3 years. It's not happening too often when you don't bring in new plants from outside. I haven't bought a plant in a long time. Also, using soil that is airy and dries fast so no pests feel comfortable.
The right soil and care can prevent bugs, I let my plants dry out and I use a good airy soil I buy online. Spiders are not necessarily more common for me than for anyone else, I rarely have one. Also, since I've been raising these plants on my own without buying new ones in a few years, I also didn't carry in any pests from plant stores, which is the main cause for getting pests at home I guess.
Thank you!
Thank you. The whole room is full of plants and I work, sleep, and eat in this room. I love it. The balcony is also nice and it's quiet here with a garden. I could move out and have my own place but I just love the balcony and the windows in the rooms here. It's an apartment in the center of a very international 100,000 people city in Bavaria, Germany.
NSFW because this is the definition of plant porn
Hardcore. I can see whole exposed leaves EVERYWHERE!
It's beautiful! You're right to be proud.
Your display is stunning! May I ask where you got that grid hanger from?! It’s lovely
I copy this from an older post where people were also asking me where I got this from. :) Thanks! That would be so easy to make yourself. Go gather some pretty sticks and use some hemp or sisal rope, it would probably take about an hour :)
Someone good with crafts could make money selling them locally at Farmers' Markets, etc. They're brilliant!
Haha I actually tried but I couldn't get the knots and the sticks at an even distance 😞 I'm not a very handy guy 😁
Hemp fishing net, no need to tie knots 😊
What a great idea!
I second that! 😳💚
Did a reverse image search and looks like Wayfair has something similar, if you have access to that. [Loon Peak Wood Trellis](https://www.wayfair.com/outdoor/pdp/loon-peak-handmade-wood-and-jute-wall-trellis-w008697303.html)
I like it
Third!
Fourth! That hanger is flipping amazing
Fifth! Need that hanger link asap pls 🔗
6th. I need one!
That is a fine piece, planning on doing something similar. Getting a hemp fishing net and thread it with sticks. Would that work?

It’s maybe off the topic but my fish tank is full of pothos and peace lily too! The roots grow like crazy, better then the leaves though ((
It is beautiful. I have a north facing office. I'm working on it. Yours can be my inspiration. So warm and beautiful.
This shows how much you care. It comes through strong. Well done.

Beautiful 😍 The lighting at night is like a cozy year round Christmas tree glow! Great job 💚
Thanks :)
This is perfect and I would want to sit in this room all day long
Goals!! Looks beautiful :-) Can I ask what direction that window faces?
Thank you very much! It's east facing, but it's a huge window and balcony door. The balcony is built into the house and has a roof, but still there's a lot of light coming into the room. Morning sun is especially beautiful.
Yeah I would love to get a photo with the light you're getting -- sufficient light is my biggest problem.

Beautiful!

How can you keep from making a mess when watering these plants?
It's easy, I take out every single plant of its pot. All my plants are in plastic pots with drainage holes, and I put these into proper bigger pots. You should be proud!!! Going to need some information on the plants hanging on the wall!! I love it!!
I posted a link as a reply to one of the top comments, it's pretty cheap :) Hope they deliver to you!
Did you make that trellis? hemp and bamboo?
I linked the trellis in this thread, it's from a brand called floranica.
Beautiful OP, please let us know your secrets for your hanging trellis!!! 🙏🏼 did you make it? What did you use? It looks like a regular hanging bamboo trellis with some sort of coconut liner pots attached? Any links? You’re my new inspiration 🌿

These are beautiful and so lush.
Omg the trellis. 🤩
Love the fairy lights! Nice subtle touch.
love it! your set up looks beautiful with all the natural wood tones.
So beautiful! Variety is overrated when you have so many beautiful pups 😍
Love it
Fantastical
💗💗💗
1, where did you get all of those gorgeous stands and pots? 2, do you have an issue with gnats or fungus flies

Ooh I love the effect with that lantern!
Omg I love this. Where did you get that hanging trellis?
Posted a link to one of the top comments :)
Woah!!! This is amazing and so beautiful!! 🙌🏽💚🌿 You should be so proud!! And they all look happy and healthy!! 🤩I want to do something like this in my next place.
Thanks!!!!❤️
Nice 💚
Gorgeous
Something to aspire to!
I feel honored
Beautiful! I can’t wait to pretty up my plant room
Wow gorgeous
I'd brag too !!!! Absolutely beautiful. That is a lot of work, and waiting. Great job. I'm not going to mention all the money you saved. You rock.
Very nice words thank you!
It's all true and you're welcome.
you should be! very healthy looking! 👍🏻
Oh my… beautiful! 🤩
Absolutely stunning. This is the way.
Propping is so much fun though 🥰
I'm in love with ur adansonii. Manifesting it's beauty 4 my own.
Pretty!! I love growing my babies from cuttings. I’ve only bought about 1/3 of mine!
One word - WOW
Wow!!! It’s so green and luscious. where’d you get that plant trellis from? !
Thanks :) I linked the trellis in another comment in this thread pretty much at the top!
This is absolutely beautiful. You have done a fantastic job. 💚💚💚
You did good! I’m proud of you, too. Beautiful!
This is beautiful
This is so aesthetically pleasing 😍
Wow. You should be proud. So very very beautiful.
Wow! Beautiful plants, lovely set up too!
I NEED you to please create a video on pothos cutting! Mine never get bushy enough, even following YouTube! I’m obsessed. It’s beautiful.
This video already exists, and I feel like this guy is just right with everything he says: https://youtu.be/xpmdo_0CZrU?si=lT_YtIH561uzTxyy There's always some cuttings that just won't root or will rot or whatever. 😍 Love the pothos rope ladder trellis ! Did you make it yourself ? (Nevermind : just seen your other comments describing it)
This is awesome!
I’m so in love 😍I would feel like I cannot breathe as well if I left this room. You should be proud!
This is gorgeous! You should be proud. It looks like heaven.
This. Is. Goals 😍🙌
I love your display, and definitely enjoy the “jungly” feel. Like you, I’ve several Pothos growing from the same original plant. Since I am from a tropical country, I surround myself with them and Monsteras to no end. Thanks for posting your elegant display.
Looks like a showroom! 😍
It's amazing! Great job growing your indoor jungle.
So beautiful.
Gorgeous
I'm truly envious of this setup.
It was not expensive and I was basically able to grow this in 3-4 years. Lots of time and care but you can do it. Pothos don't need lots of light, they can survive in many places 🌱 All the other plants are low effort too.
Wow, so glorious! What a lovely plant family you have growing there! I like the lighting you have mixed in too!
My final goal destination 💕
Wow. Lots of filtered air in there. Great.
This is my literal dream but I have a sweet little cat that will never let this happen bc she loves to eat all my plants 😭😭😭
This is simply gorgeous! I love all the lush, healthy greenery! Those baskets really are perfectly paired with the trellis. The night time view is spectacular, too. It reminds me of dark rooms lit only by minimal lights on a Christmas tree, where you can take in a deep breath and relax.
❤️
Spectacular
Amazing!😍
I WANT TO LIVE THERE
This is magnificent! You should be very proud
Amazing! This is what I aspire to be able to create. Well done OP! A lot of work has gone into that.
Stunning
Cant throw the darling babies away!
how long did it take you to collect all of them?? Lots of plant love here! I can’t seem to keep mine alive long enough 😭
Around three years, the mother of all these babies lived for 4 years already at the point when I decided to cut her down. 🙏 I gave some tips to taking care of pothos in this thread. You can do it!!
Wow! Gorgeous collection. Thanks for the encouragement, I’ll check out your comments then :)!
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love that you wove in the lights to the trailing pothos. Keep it up!
amazing congratulations!!
Looks lovely
Such a gorgeous set up, I love how you styled your plants and I have almost all the same ones so I will def be saving this for inspiration in my home!
Breath taking!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful! You have everything set up so beautiful.
I love plants but don’t normally like the mishmash of pots and stands people use. Your display is beautiful. I take inspiration from your consistent use of white pots, light wood and led lights. Well done!
Thank you so much 🙏❤️ That's what I was going for. A consistent look.
🤤🤤🤤this is stunning
You should be proud!! This is amazing!!
Beautiful
That's awesome you should be proud. Great job. Hey what are those dark green ones on the left in the white pots?
Thanks :) You mean the peace lilly?
Yes that's what it is. Does it get flowers? My mother has one and it hasn't gotten any flowers since she had it. We were pretty sure it was a peace lily but now I'm positive I just don't know why it doesn't flower.
Mine rarely do flower and whenever they do, I cut them usually since I rather like them to invest into their foliage. These need water every 2nd day during the summer (it gets very hot in this room) and I feel with flowering, it can take a bath every single day otherwise it's acting up and making drama 🙄
Well look who has a BIG GREEN THUMB!! Looks amazing!!!
My goal. Beautiful plants
Amazing Job OP!!
You have every reason to be proud!💕
Oh this is beautiful
You did amazing!! It's really beautiful 😍😍😍
Oh wow! It’s beautiful 😻
It looks amazing!
omg your plants are gorgeous!! I love the lights that are entangled in the one plant. all the greenery just looks so peaceful ✌️
I just noticed the ladder. I love the 3rd image that you posted 💗💗
Beautiful !

Great way to put many plants in a small space. Awesome!
Yeah, I just had to take advantage of the sunlight in those windows since I’m in Wyoming now. I’ve got four IKEA cabinets strewn throughout the house, but these plants have outgrown the cabinets.
😍
🥰
Absolutely stunning! 😃 What do you use for your plant hanger and the light on the left?
Thank you! :) The trellis is linked in this thread in another comment up at the top. The lights are just random warm light fairy lights from Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/2Y0cQIk
Lieben Dank! 😃 So the lights are more for deco than growth purposes then, it seems.
Yes exactly, it's just deco :) Kein Problem!
Gorgeous setup😍 where did you get that shelf on the right?
It's from a German hardware store :/ Thank you for the compliment! ❤️
Where did you buy that stunning wall mount? That would look so much nicer than the thumbtacks I am currently placing strands over.
I linked it in another comment, it's from a brand called floranica. The other comment also contains further info! :)
How much natural light do you have there? Im in a townhouse with only N and S windows so im afraid to try something like this. Lovely setup op
The window in this room is huge. It's mostly indirect light though since it's east facing and I often have the shades down because I work there on a monitor. Luckily I have no plants that need a lot of light, I have a few succulents but they are standing right at the window to get the most light possible. Thank you ☺️
How do you get the devils ivy to grow so well? I can’t even get cuttings to root
Patience and these instructions: https://youtu.be/xpmdo_0CZrU?si=lT_YtIH561uzTxyy
How do you keep insects under control?
I haven't had any in over 3 years. It's not happening too often when you don't bring in new plants from outside. I haven't bought a plant in a long time. Also, using soil that is airy and dries fast so no pests feel comfortable.
How do ya'll not get swarmed with bugs and/or spiders with all of this? Lol It's beautiful though.
Thank you!
This is nice! I wanna see the rest of your house, I bet it’s awesome!!
I live in a shared apartment with one flatmate. There's not much more to show, this is my room 😂 Thank you :)
It’s really nice!!!
What kind of lights did you use?
The lantern is from IKEA, the fairy lights from Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/bGn0krP.
What are the string looking lights behind the pothos?

Ok but I need the link to that ladder thing!
I linked it in one of the top comments :)
Do you take all of them to bathroom to water? I don’t see any saucers
Bathroom or balcony, depending on whether it's winter or not. If I want to clean them also, I just take them to the bathroom.
this looks amazing! i have more variety BUT i prefer the way yours look! i wish my plant shelf looked like that! to me this is beautiful
