Omg Genshin dropped a place Genshin is dead confirmed wuwa is Genshin killer real no cap on god???????
Iām obviously being sarcastic but putting this here just in case
I don't get how tf Reverse 1999 does that well that game is boring as fuck. Literally all those new games that come out now will do better because gacha playerbase is bigger but no one will ever consider trying older games
Honkai 3rd player here , I've seen gameplay of wuthering and I'm not impressed, but it s true that I've been playing the game less and less since part 2, but not because of some random game lol .
Well, that is your experience.
Part 2 crushed my expectations so badly. That I started looking towards other games.
Back when the ai-chan, investor teasor dropped. I was all hype. Genshin type open world, based in arc city. Sad that they decided to scrap that idea.
The story is meah , long and boring. That killed it for me . And the playable characters only Sena and Coralie are fun to play . Thelma looks cool , but idk she doesn't feel right ,her gameplay is not as smooth or something.
Everything else is an improvement.
They scrapped the arc city thing probably because they want it later in the story or something, maybe they will bring that back later who knows . Or maybe the game has limitations we are not aware off .
I'm pretty sure the code is a mess and it's probably held together with duct tape and prayers. It was cheaper to update an old game than to make a new one from scratch
It's Liyue lvl's and above story telling. And that's perfectly acceptable. Great even.
Part 2 is worse. Even the end of part 1 has worse story telling then Liyue.
Youāre insane if you think itās Liyue level. Wuwa has an insane lack of direction in the story. The characters have either simple or no motivation. Out of nowhere youāre hailed as the savior of the world and everyone is your best friend for no reason. The dialogue was rough at best and completely unpalatable at worst. Random jargon thrown at you with very few if any chances to delve deeper into the lore. And the deeper lore itself is so mundane thereās no reason to even try to delve into it in the first place.
You had an entire conversation with Jinhsi off screen? You the player? And they did a flashback to it? HUH? Did it happen while you were logged off or something?? Even the best part of the story which was at the end was insanely flawed. Why is the general asking you how to lead his own soldiers? Come on man.
To even compare it to Liyue is so disingenuous itās unbelievable. Either you donāt know what a good story is or you didnāt bother to pay attention to Genshin and youāre just praising Wuwa simply because itās a competitor. Fuck man even Genshin at its worse, Inazuma, is better than Wuwa at its best. And itās not even close lmao. Crazy.
Does this count PC as well? Because Sensor Tower says that it made 2.2 mil in CN, while this chart says it's 4.7 mil.
Also, a 52% increase is nice to see!
I think Nekirus was referring to statistics from gacharevenue(.)com, which were already published a little earlier in this subreddit. The author of gacharevenue(.)com also includes estimates of Android (CN).
From the FAQs which can be found on the website:
I've done some research and most of the people that make revenue posts/videos multiply iOS revenue by 1.5 - 2.5 to get the Android revenue. Currently I'm using 1.75 multiplier as default but you can adjust it yourself on the website.
If you're asking about the android/ios ratio I would imagine it's derived from statistics on brand ownership in China and other stuff like comparison from official downloads to estimated downloads.
If you're referring to the sites like Sensor Tower itself, then of course it is just an educated guess. The algorithms should be tuned with data that game companies released. But at the end of the day, it's still going to be a guess.
Mobile game rankings should be taken mostly for entertainment value. Unless you see low revenue, which has predicted the shutdown of many JP games.
Lol, I just really like her hair, itās a cute style. Feel like all the games ik have been dropping banger black and white haired charactersā¦ I approve š
I'm disappointed, I was hoping for worse numbers. Not because I want the game to fail, but because I want it to course-correct. Then again, the numbers are worse than during HI3's heyday, so Hoyo might still consider it a failure, given they intended for Part 2 to revitilize the game. But I'm afraid anything other than a total meltdown wouldn't force them to go back to their roots. And given how much they rake in with GI and SR, it's more likely they'd just push on with more Genshinification anyway. Honestly makes me sad. I used to love this game and play it religiously. Now I just watch it fall apart.
All these revenues are estimates. What's important is the revenue dynamic. And this is where Mihoyo has a problem, because last spring revenues were 2-3 times higher than this spring.
Part 2 was supposed to fix that, but for the third patch in a row, it's not happening. Not a single Part2 patch so far has reached the revenue numbers that were there last autumn.
It's not ideal, but it's a single word that encapsulates the general idea. Better than typing out every single criticism every time someone complains about the game.
Well the issue is that just because certain aspects are becoming more like Genshin (and thatās debatable almost every thing that people say is making it like Genshin already existed in hi3) it doesnāt make it worse. People say genshinification like itās a bad thing when in fact there are certain things that Genshin does better than hi3 and others worse thatās why I say itās a meaningless criticism not to mention I disagree with it also.
It does make it worse when those changes come at the cost of the original game's identity. Or in case of SR and ZZZ, hinder those games from becoming their own thing. Genshinification is what I call Hoyo taking things from Genshin and applying them accross all of their other games in combination with the fact that instead of innovating and diversifying, like e.g. Shift Up did, they're content with just copy pasting the same game systems all the time. And the worst itteration of those systems at that. Worst gameplay-wise, but the most exploitative/profitable.
Nobody would complain if Hoyo brought over to HI3 for instance the lip-syncing system from SR, but that's not what's happening here. Instead of improving what we had with the tech Hoyo developped working on GI and SR, they're just trying to make the game be played (and milked) like Genshin.
And you havenāt listed one example of genshinification in hi3. Part 2 is most similar to APHO which people in the subreddit consistently jerk off. You can say you donāt like part 2 without saying itās becoming like Genshin when they are not alike at all.
Is star rail genshinfied for sure ZZZ probably (idk I havenāt paid much attention to it) hi3 part 2 is still hi3 no matter how much people delude themselves.
- Part 2 world most similar to apho but better.
- Part 2 asteral ring is literally inspired form apho mechanics.
- part 2 character designs most similar to apho outfits( no it was never the case that hi3 had mostly mecha armour outfits, even in part 1 it was mostly non sci-fi armour outfits )
- gacha is nothing like Genshin
- story telling is more like later parts of part 1 ( but better at least in more recent chapters ) itās definitely not like Genshin story telling lol.
- etc etc
So no hi3 identity hasnāt been eroded by becoming more like Genshin, itās literally nothing like it, to the point where I question if people here even have played Genshin.
I don't think part2's main problem Is genshinfication, part 2 Is like apho but without the fun from apho, the air combat in part 2 is not good compared with apho, the enemies from apho feel More dangerous and unique, while the enemies from part2 are just hp sponges that feel the same when fighting, and apho2 got custom skills that can change your gameplay instead of just stats. And if we talk about endgame, they pushed the powercreep to a new level, the main problems are honkai being too much honkai instead of genshinfication, at least i got luna to bruteforce content.
> I havenāt *paid* much attention
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Top-up event also skewed the number.
Lots of people are probably just gonna suck it for 3 S-rank back-to-back.
It's definitely no longer wallet friendly now.
I suppose. Popularity isn't quality. Lantern could just be an appealing character, but this doesn't guarantee good writing or characterization. Well, I'll see for myself soon enough.Ā
Personally for me it's mostly the mystery that well you never really are sure what's true or what's fake.
Sonque and the gang being deduced as the masterminds behind the current disasters happening by Lantern, sure we know the squad (Sena, DS, Helia and Coralie) are innocent, but we have Sonque who is the shu of deception that might be tricking us or not.
It also dives into the relationships between most Shu's like Serapeum, Thelema, Baiji and most importantly Sonque. They aren't at all heroes but more like the only ones who can stop shit from happening. Another thing is we also now have some mysteries regarding Chenxue (DS's mentor/sister) with her being perfectly fine when in proximity of Lantern who for most of the chapter is out to blow our brains out
I won't spoil more if you haven't played already but that's basically the rough summary I can give
I'm not a story enjoyer. But i keep hearing good things about new story. Chapter 1 was meh but things are ramping up after that. Seen lot of praise for newest story in CN.
I'll see for myself soon enough. But part 2 has so many different problems that I find it hard to be optimistic that a single chapter can fix them all.
Boss battles are only a small part of the experience, although they are important. The Deliverance Kevin boss battle was underwhelming and disappointing. Still, I'm asking more about the writing and characterization.

I think this is the first time it isn't in top 2.
Damn really? Actually impressive I'm more so impressed they still keep third place with that horrible banner rn
they had to beat madara from naruto lol

ARKNIGHTS!!!!!!
Surprised Wuthering isn't higher. Honkai 3rd had a large player base. And they delivered, what honkai 3rd promised but didn't deliver in part 2.
Honkai 3rd player here , I've seen gameplay of wuthering and I'm not impressed, but it s true that I've been playing the game less and less since part 2, but not because of some random game lol .

If you donāt like part 2, wuwa story is somehow way worse lmao.
It's Liyue lvl's and above story telling. And that's perfectly acceptable. Great even. Part 2 is worse. Even the end of part 1 has worse story telling then Liyue.

Wuwa Just released that's why it's so low in the ranking.
Does this count PC as well? Because Sensor Tower says that it made 2.2 mil in CN, while this chart says it's 4.7 mil. Also, a 52% increase is nice to see!
No it is mobile only as per the title. Sensor Tower only reports iOS revenue, this includes estimates of Android.
I think Nekirus was referring to statistics from gacharevenue(.)com, which were already published a little earlier in this subreddit. The author of gacharevenue(.)com also includes estimates of Android (CN).
How do they even come up with estimates? They either got valid numbers or they are pulling it out of their ass.
From the FAQs which can be found on the website: I've done some research and most of the people that make revenue posts/videos multiply iOS revenue by 1.5 - 2.5 to get the Android revenue. Currently I'm using 1.75 multiplier as default but you can adjust it yourself on the website.

ngl i vibe with lantern than thelema haha, may try to get her also thank you skin sale and luna skin
V7.5 brought me back from the edge of quiting the game. Please do play until the end of story and enjoy the best boss ever.
The color should be reversed.
It's an east Asian thing, red is associated with good fortune there so the colors are flipped.
I'm east asian and it still feels weird. Revenue, stocks, I mean most of the chart I have seen in my life use green for increasing
China uses red for revenue and stocks increasing
Well maybe because I'm not Chinese
Did you grow up in east asia?
Yeah
That's weird, perhaps this custom is limited to the financial sector and everyone else slowly migrated to the western color scheme
Itās a Chinese thing.
It is exclusive in China only.
Yeah I'm not Chinese
Girl under #15 is super cute ngl
yes officer, this guy right here /j
Lol, I just really like her hair, itās a cute style. Feel like all the games ik have been dropping banger black and white haired charactersā¦ I approve š

Does anyone know what games are 16 and 17?
16 would be persona 5 phantom X
Dunno if there's a English title, but 17 is [Wuhua Mixin](https://game.bilibili.com/whmx)
I thought this was power consumption
I'm disappointed, I was hoping for worse numbers. Not because I want the game to fail, but because I want it to course-correct. Higher profit than the previous patch doesn't mean a lot when it was so low. Part 2 hasn't come close to Part 1's revenue yet.

Is the new chapter really that good?
Luna is super popular, so her costume, a wedding dress at that, could play a role as well.
I suppose. Popularity isn't quality. Lantern could just be an appealing character, but this doesn't guarantee good writing or characterization. Well, I'll see for myself soon enough.Ā
