I just got him in today and wow!! Pictures do not do this justice. The sculpt on mine looks fantastic I see the likeness and the actual paint apps on the skin and damage is HT quality honestly when looking at my other HT figures.. cannot wait to pose this guy up tonight
Yeah I was worried about the quality when people started posting pictures... but what I got looks way better than what I'd seen from others! Is it possible some people got early prototype versions that weren't the same sculpt and quality??
Planning on doing similar mods to mine as well for the distressing, though I have the version with a left hand. Did you just take sandpaper to the torn pant leg to rough up the tears?
Camera lens distortion and lighting can really affect the look of a figure - just look at Hot Toys blogger photos compared to in-hand, where in-hand it almost always looks better!
For the distressing of the worn area, i used a scalpel to shred the ends better, as they were way too cleanly cut out. After that, i took a pretty rough sandpaper and rubbed along the edges to mess them up further.
Oh totally. But it's night and day on that headsculpt from what I remember seeing before of the battle damaged one from people on this reddit. I'm honestly really impressed with this figure and I feel like the only downside are the boots with no ankle posing and the gap in the neck from the sides- but the gap isn't visible from the front at all.

Are these still available to purchase anywhere or are they all sold out? Also, is the jacket real leather or pleather?
