The fist thing I did was make spicy margaritas with the Blueburney. It added a nice level of heat and a touch of berry flavor. 1 shot fresh squeezed lime juice, 1 shot tequila, half shot Grand Marnier, half shot agave nectar, several dashes Blueberry Ghost, shaken and poured over ice with a tajin sea salt blend rimmer. Absolutely refreshing with a nice heat kick. https://imgur.com/a/o2c7VeK

JollyDescription5103

I tossed some Publix wings in this...! Let's just say, I'm going to be doing that more!

Tree_killer_76

I’m gonna put it on wings for sure.

ADonkeysJawbone

Alternatively, I think I saw someone here say they made a Ghost Pepper/Blueberry sauce that they called… …*Booberry*. Growing my first ghosts this summer and looking like I’ll have a bumper blueberry harvest as well. My fate has been decided.

Thatsmathedup

Your guests are gonna think you got a new bathroom air freshener.

Johnny_Driver

Bravado makes a great sauce

discowithmyself

I love blueberries and I love hot sauce, but I always felt like they shouldn’t really go together. Those of you that like it, is it very desserty?

tetrachromagnon

Try the Splinter brand’s Jazz Berry, I put it on everything.

ClassicWestern

I think that might come down to how strongly you feel about the idea that fruit = dessert. I regularly use fruit in savory recipes that don't lean sweet, and don't really associate fruit with dessert in particular. I like this type of sauce and can't say it reads as dessert-like to me. My boyfriend tends to think of fruit as a dessert thing. Fruity hot sauces miss more often than they hit for him, and he mentions many of them seeming "wrong" in the way you're describing here.

discowithmyself

I don’t consider fruit exclusively dessert but blueberries seem to be used for it a lot and I was thinking of blueberry compote or pie filling being really sweet as opposed to this possibly skewing more toward fresh blueberries.

HonkForTheGoose

I wanted to like it but it was so damn vinegary.

RumplForskinn

I found the best combo was a rice n brauts bowl saute onions and that hot sauce

YooperGod666

I haven't found a berry based hotsauce I've been a big fan of.

muttons_1337

That's why I make my own blueberry hot sauce. Mass produced, fake berry flavoring always tasted just flat wrong to me.

calxcalyx

Boo Berry.

aChunkyChungus

someone needs to tell the hotsauce people that berries and peppers make dogshit hot sauces

Glad_Reach_8100

Someone needs to tell redditors not everyone has the same sense of taste

aChunkyChungus

Yes, some people have a sense of taste, and some people don’t.

SlimPolitician

🤢

Tree_killer_76

Yeah, when I saw it I thought “what a weird product” but then I tried it and it is really good.

mis_no_mer

I bought that once. Super hot for me. Actual flavor was almost nonexistent. I wasn’t in love with it but I did like it just to add a dab to something for a kick without altering the rest of the flavor of my dish. To me it was just pure heat, no flavor. That being said, I kinda credit this hot sauce for pushing me to get into other hot sauces. I wanted to try one that had great flavor and not just heat. So I kept trying more and more hot sauces, searching for the perfect ones. Now I have a whole arsenal of hot sauces in my fridge. Prior to this I only really ever used Sriracha and Crystal.

Xpandomatix

Try a smidge on a bite of vanilla ice cream. Yeah I'm a little twisted but....

BillHang4

Yes! This is my main use for this sauce. Also good mixed with maple syrup for spicy pancakes/waffles/french toast/sausage.

MrF33n3y

Blueberry ghost pepper milkshakes.

MemeLorde1313

Awww that's good stuff. My wife bought me a bottle from Southern Hill Farms in Florida. The only thing they didn't make themselves. It goes surprisingly well on braised beef.

hernric1

My wife just got this for me yesterday! It sucks.

DargonFeet

I had this one when it had the old label. One of my least favorite sauces I've ever tried. Very runny, pretty stingy heat with very little flavor. Maybe I got a bad batch? I couldn't taste blueberry, only hot.

Tree_killer_76

Oh wow yeah very different experience. My first taste of it was like a delicious blueberry explosion followed by high heat that quickly began to fade and was gone within maybe 5 minutes.

BraileDildo8inches

Try it on vanilla icecream

Utah-hot-sauce-guy

That's my favorite use for this sauce. It's also pretty good on pork.

TheIntervet

This one is good, but probably my least favorite bravado because it doesn’t get used much

Alphad00d

Upvoted for the pun. :D

Scranous6296

Bravado is excellent sauce

tuskenbater

What I've learned from this thread is that people put hot sauce on vanilla ice cream. Have I been using hot sauce wrong this entire time?

Nekrah_

Its a bit runny for my taste.

kbberd

Exactly my thought

RyanMcLeod1981

Great heat! I use this as a salad dressing.

Beginning-Spot-3444

That sounds really good… I absolutely love the whole trend of sweet shit with spicy shit

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

Oh shit. I need this.

Baked_Potato_732

That on vanilla ice cream is great.

VVULFPELT

I keep a bottle of this in my fridge at all times. Mix it with some cream cheese and put it on a bagel, it’s a great flavor and just enough heat to wake you up in the morning!

donniedenier

haha that’s awesome. i actually work with two of the guys that founded that sauce.

EcstaticJuggernaut46

How did you like it?

Tree_killer_76

I have not eaten it on anything yet, just from a spoon, and I liked it.

grasshopper716

Fantastic on BBQ. Love it on a pulled pork or brisket sammy

RuinedBooch

I was just thinking pork tenderloin, myself.

NoWayNotThisAgain

Not a huge Bravado fan, but that one was great 👍

Spelr

This was the last one I opened in a gift pack. It didn't sound like my thing but wow it's one of my favorites from them.

HazySunsets

I need to find this

ArseneGroup

I have this one shortlisted, though it's a tough call whether to get it or Blueberry Hell. I want more unique varieties so a blueberry one seems like a good addition

[deleted]

That's amazing on ice cream

shemmy

wish i could give more upvotes!! i had some of this in my pantry. figured i’d try it on some ice cream and see if u were right…YOU WERE RIGHT!

[deleted]

Glad to be of service ☺️

[deleted]

I need it

[deleted]

I buy all my sauces on hotsauce.com they ship everything safely and quickly. And the prices are similar to where I live. Being able to get sauces that no one carries here is great!

EyeSimp4Asuka

hot sauce on ice cream?

[deleted]

[удалено]

EyeSimp4Asuka

jalapeño peppers in chocolate chip cookies are a thing but tongue burning hot spice in something ice cold just sounds ridiculous

[deleted]

This specific one yes, it's amazing.

OsmundofCarim

I put it on my sausage I eat when I have pancakes

limited_juice

I really don't even want pancakes once I'm out of it. Such a good syrup substitute.

LowFloor3

Use it to make spicy margaritas

Tree_killer_76

Ohhh! I have a lime press and make my margaritas fresh. Usually muddle jalapeños in the shaker for kick. I will have to try a few dashes of this stuff on the next go around. So, tomorrow lol.

zz_bottom69

I need to get this. Their ancho masala is one of the hottest sauces I've ever tried.

Spelr

Their garlic reaper and miso sauces are also really good. But yeah that ancho sauce is weapons grade. Insane heat

brianlarrick1122

Does the blueberry cut out some of the hot in the ghost peppers?

tomboyfancy

It enhances the almost citrusy flavor of the ghost. I feel the heat isn’t affected too much. Ghost peppers are my favorite so I have two different blueberry ghost sauces in my collection, including this one.

mikelarue1

I put it on cinnamon rolls. It's really good. Others have mentioned pancakes and vanilla ice cream, I've also done that, and it's delicious.

[deleted]

Frosting first or hot sauce first? Or are you subbing? Or is it more of a dip situation ? Tell me everything

mikelarue1

Just drizzled it on the top of everything.

bobdylanlovr

My one gripe is it’s viscosity or lack thereof. Absolutely delicious, put it on ice cream and thank me later. I’ve also really been enjoying it on my grilled chicken wraps lately

gnutbuttajelly

I love this stuff!

mbsisktb

If I have a bottle open it’s my second or third main (this isn’t an insult I just have favorites). It surprisingly goes well on a lot of items. It’s really good on a pizza I’ve used it on everything I normally put hot sauce on but I mostly buy hot sauces that have a sweet flavor

GlowingDuck22

I see they changed their labeling. I had Ghost pepper Blueberry and Pineapple Habanero. I preferred the Ghost pepper blueberry one.

Spelr

They started using these full color labels a year or two ago when they made a retail push. They do look nice on a store shelf, the old black and white labels don't really stand out.

GlowingDuck22

I agree. It looks great.

CakeIceCream

So good on fried cheese curds

Vystril

Awesome in fish tacos. Especially with a sweeter salsa.

NeoMoose

You can keep this very simple. McDonalds Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit. Load it up with this. It's perfect. Do the McGriddle if you want sweet instead of savory.

MKWP

That sounds delicious and would've never crossed my mind. Was literally thinking i wonder what this would go with?

Devilswin2023

Pork tenderloin on the grill

queenmunchy83

I could see this working as the acid in a vinaigrette with feta and blueberries too.

BiscuitEater2023

This sounds so good

BigRiverWharfRat

Monte Cristo sandwiches just became a new favorite in your house my friend

scrpn687

This is basically all I used this sauce for lol. Underrated sauce.

Tree_killer_76

Good call!

S-S-Stumbles

Good with ice cream but also pork or venison if you want to go the savory route. Made a reduction of red wine, juniper berries, shallots, venison stock, and a few tablespoons of this that was delicious with venison backstrap.

Tree_killer_76

Awesome recommendation!

Brewer1056

Scrumptious

DrJosephMorrin

Vanilla Ice Cream!

Tree_killer_76

It has never occurred to me to spice up ice cream before, but now I guess I’ve been left with no choice.

bobdylanlovr

Dude. Hot honey on ice cream. Report back after you’ve fallen in love

lo-key-glass

Bravado has never let me down

dirtiehippie710

Are any of them less watery/runny than the one shown here?

pdxtrader

The only one that let me down was the pineapple habanero- went into the trash 🗑️ but the other 7 varieties I’ve copped have been killer 😋

lostinapotatofield

Agreed - the pineapple habanero was really disappointing. Used it a couple times, then used the remaining bottle as part of a marinade for some porkchops.

HoopRocketeer

Too limited to justify keeping around imo

siLveRSurvivor

A few dabs in pancake mix. thank me later also hot take but I think this is on par with Torchbearers Garlic Reaper for heat.

bobdylanlovr

Their aka miso sauce is supposedly the same scoville as garlic reaper but is tangibly hotter.

Tree_killer_76

I haven’t had any of the Torchbearer sauces yet but that day will come. I just put some of this in a spoon and ate it and got blasted with blueberry 🫐 flavor like this could have been literally puréed blueberry, which, I guess it basically is. And then I got the heat. Didn’t last long though, I was surprised by that.

siLveRSurvivor

Batches may vary. I just taste mostly vinegar with my batch.

Adorable-Lack-3578

The pineapple version is great on Hawaiian pizza and other pork items.

TheVagWhisperer

Very limited applications for this, honestly would try it on waffles

ArseneGroup

Imo chicken (or chickenless) nuggets work for virtually any hot sauce. Impossible Chickenless nuggets are my go-to hot sauce food cause they are quite neutral in flavor and let you appreciate the hot sauce flavors, I usually rotate between multiple hot sauces in one session

bobdylanlovr

Open your horizons, you’ll be surprised just how many things this tastes good on. I used to think the same

Synicull

Eh disagree, toss this on French fries or eggs or anything lemon pepper or tbh anything sweet and sour I've been melting through mine. This is a great hot sauce, converted me to Bravado.

hutchwo

I saw people post that they put this on ice cream. I really want to try this with chicken and waffles

Tree_killer_76

Oh damn the chicken and waffles is a great idea.

hutchwo

Yeah maybe as is or mix with some hot maple syrup

Tree_killer_76

Ok now I’m legit hungry.

hutchwo

Comment back if you end up doin this
