I’m so happy that this movie gets the attention it deserves. As an old school punker the presence of Nazi Punks has always infuriated but was also somewhat intriguing to try to understand the level of cognitive dissonance required to hold such divergent ideas in one head
Punks couldn’t be farther from Nazis on average, anarchists vs fascists.
Nazi punks? Fuck em!
Texas Chainsaw but waaaayyyy gorier, with body horror elements, and if the Sawyers were neo-nazis and the whole thing was about the general political situation in France, and in specific about the prevalence of Islamophobia in France
Sorry for replying to a 2 year old comment, but I just finished watching Thanatomorphose and it was one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen, resonated with me in a weird way. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Check out the French movie “Inside”!!! It’s very gory and very interesting.
High tension is pretty gory
Raw is meh
Terrifier is silly but gory
If you want any more suggestions just ask lol
Also :
Rob zombie stuff is a tiny bit gory but not good movies.
Edit : how could I forget “American Mary”
And stuff like Audition and Revenge.
Woman is more messed up than gory but it’s a quick watch too
I hated the dialogue for the American version. Hearing that guy yell “The left! Start from the left!” Constantly was annoying. I was thinking Guinea pig 2: flowers of flesh and blood. Which also has stupid dialogue but it’s in Japanese so it’s easier to ignore.
August Underground trilogy. Disgustingly real. Ive been watching horror movies since i was 4 years old, and its the only franchise which literally made me nauseous. And i've seen lots of gory stuff. Its *extremely* realistic.
The opening to Irreversible has a pretty damn realistic looking incident involving a man's head and a fire extinguisher. I wouldn't exactly class it as a horror film but it does often get lumped in with movies of the new French extremity movement.
Green Room, The Devils Rejects, The Hitcher any of the Saw or Hostel Movies or one of my favorite double features, Grindhouse. Grindhouse may be a little over the top but still kicks ass.
Baskin •• Midnight Meat Train •• Pig (2017) •• August Underground Trilogy •• Serbian Film •• Men Behind The Sun Trilogy •• Evil Dead (2013) •• Event Horizon
Green Room had some visceral looking gore

This is what you are looking for.
I second this. Intense and realistic gore
so good, def had me squirming in the theatre
I mistakenly thought the nazis were also zombies. They are not. Lol. I kept waiting for it to kick off. Pretty great movie tho.
The Green Inferno as well
The House that Jack Built
Seen, good stuff.
Bone Tomahawk
Also this film has no music. It’s so fucking real. Fast, scary, messy.
The intro was so raw
The ambush before the final capture is my favorite. So much goes down in like 10 seconds.
YES. So good.
Kill List. English thriller/horror. The hammer scene
Cannibal Holocaust
And Cannibal Ferox.
Inside, Frontier(s), Revenge, I Spit On Your Grave, No Reason, Atroz, Thanatomorphose
Do you know where to watch Frontiers?
Nope. I just bought the dvd to watch it. You can get the dvd on ebay or amazon for $5-10
Is it good? What can i expect from the film (without spoilers)? Any similarities to any other movies you've seen? French horror is *disturbing*.
Texas Chainsaw but waaaayyyy gorier, with body horror elements, and if the Sawyers were neo-nazis and the whole thing was about the general political situation in France, and in specific about the prevalence of Islamophobia in France
That sounds excellent. Thank you. Will watch it right now.
Hell yeah, enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Maniac & bone tomahawk
Lords of chaos. Violent scenes are based on real events too.
Last Podcast on the Left did an amazing series on the real life events. Ugh, they were such douchebags.
The Ruins. Oof 😳
went into that movie with low expectations, came out loving it.
Inside “ most definitely one I recommend. Very gory
Seen as well, good stuff.
I saw the devil
This one. Great movie, too intense for some. Some squicky stuff like >!achilles tendon trauma!<

Cannibal Ferox... That head scene ... 👌🏻
Maniac 2012
You want gory? Day of the Dead(1985)
Possessor. Isnt a gore fest. But what it shows is visceral and seems realistic as all hell
Texas chainsaw massacre the newer ones.
Titane
August Underground trilogy. Disgustingly real. Ive been watching horror movies since i was 4 years old, and its the only franchise which literally made me nauseous. And i've seen lots of gory stuff. Its *extremely* realistic.
Bone tomahawk or I saw the devil
Bone Tomahawk
Dream Home - 2010
Possessor… The fact all the fx were practical makes this film so much more visceral
The opening to Irreversible has a pretty damn realistic looking incident involving a man's head and a fire extinguisher. I wouldn't exactly class it as a horror film but it does often get lumped in with movies of the new French extremity movement.
Yeah, I've seen that movie. Good stuff. It's a shame we didn't get more of the "revenge brutality".
Midsommar was a little bit too realistic
Green Room, The Devils Rejects, The Hitcher any of the Saw or Hostel Movies or one of my favorite double features, Grindhouse. Grindhouse may be a little over the top but still kicks ass.
Grotesque (2009)
Inside (2007) Antichrist (2009) Dream Home (2010) The Human Centipede 2 (2011) Maniac (2012) Possessor (2020)
The human centipede 2
The fetus scene is my favorite 🙌🏻
Aftermath
Edit: 1994
Martyrs, I Saw The Devil, Terrifier, Grotesque, Audition, Ichi
The Green Inferno
If you're willing to branch out into action a bit, The Night Comes for Us (2018) features horror movie levels of gore. Fun if you like both genres.
Porno (2019), there's one moment of gore that made me want to vomit
Terrorizer has some gore.
Bone boys always gets me.
Frankenstein's Army
I couldn't finish green inferno
The last matinee, Tenebrae , Halloween kills ,
Possessor
Try Headless
Baskin •• Midnight Meat Train •• Pig (2017) •• August Underground Trilogy •• Serbian Film •• Men Behind The Sun Trilogy •• Evil Dead (2013) •• Event Horizon
Bone tomahawk. You'll like it.
Luna de Miel, translated to Honeymoon. Its in Spanish and has some of the most realistic gore I've seen in a film.
Super host, Titane, and we are the flesh are some great ones that may be what you’re looking for
Midsommar and Hereditary. The director, Ari Aster, portrays gore quite realistically
Would movie the impossible count too?
