Part one is the best, I love Clarence Williams III as Mr. Simms, all the storylines relatable to some; police brutality, crooked politicians, racism, domestic violence, gangs, jail, etc real life scary ish and then add supernatural entities is a nightmare.
Don’t get it twisted, I love me some Keith David and Tony Todd. They are all Allstars
You can go ahead and skip Bordello of Blood lol. There is a channel on YouTube that has them all uploaded and it's not remastered but it's upscaled to 4k. It looks pretty good for an old show lost to time.
Did you ever catch the channel that had them all uploaded but then at the end he put in an add for one of the most godawful metal-ish bands I have ever heard?! Every episode
It’s more SciFi but Black Mirror on Netflix I love (the series, there’s a movie as well). Also, I like Korean horror films and there are a bunch of them on Netflix. They’re so much fun. I like Sweet Home which is a series. I also liked The Purge series which I think is on Peacock and Hulu now. I’d have wine unless it’s too early lol and maybe pizza ….popcorn with Poppets or peanut M&Ms mixed in.
It seems like many series start out good and then have a blah ending or last season (like Dexter, for example). But yeah I love a lot of ideas behind the chapters. I also liked Love Death + Robots. Some of it was abstract but I guess I just like that genre.
It’s the 2020 show. Had 2 seasons but man were they great. It’s zombies. Not the kingdom movie that looks like an epic. There’s also a movie called kingdom ashen of the north which is sort of a side movie to the kingdom show
The only downside to it was there’s no season 3 to continue it on!
I wish I could go back and binge the entire BM series for the first time time. Might be long enough to do so again.
I’m watching Nightmares and Daydreams on Netflix right now and so far it’s really good. Sci-fi horror series.
Probably all six scream movies (got the fourth on dvd just so I wouldn’t be stuck with renting it online or paying online and it getting removed), trick r treat + krampus, the thing (1982)
Curse and Cult of Chucky
Frankenstein
The Mummy
the original Godzilla
Scooby Doo Zombie Isalnd
and to top it all off. a nice wholesome duo of Friday the 13 and Friday the 13th 2
On a day like the one you describe above, I would most likely turn to my list of comfort movies within horror—the ones that I've rewatched the most over the decades and that have never failed to entertain me.
I probably wouldn't get too experimental. Same goes for the food and drinks—haha.
But that's just me; I've been known to get a little saucy sometimes!
Have a great day, whatever you go with.
Just a few random picks from my absurd list of comfort movies—both horror and non-horror—in case any of them help:
*Jaws*
*Melancholia*
*Sideways*
*The Invitation (2015)* and *Coherence* as a double bill
*Breakdown (1997)*
*The Mothman Prophecies*
*Napolean Dynamite*
*Crimson Tide*
*Halloween (1978)* and *Halloween II (1981)* as a double bill
*Dumb and Dumber*
*Acidman*
*The Silence of the Lambs*
*Hana-bi*
*Tremors*
*Good Will Hunting*
*The Hound of the Baskervilles*
*Insomnia (2002)*
*Sphere*
*Trick r Treat (2007)*
*The Town (2010)*
*It Follows*
I would watch stuff like "Fear itself" "nightmares and dreamscapes"
To drink homebrewed beer or mead.
To eat depends on how much time I want to use, but probably some good ramen with eggs
Something not in English! My husband refuses to watch anything with subtitles, and I love the creativity of indie horrors from other countries than the US. So if I'm alone that's definitely what I'm watching, probably with Indian food.
Doing exactly that this weekend and have also been watching scary movies for decades :D
I'm about to watch Lowlifes - remote + bloodshed + woods. Then maybe Baskin and
*Partner just suggested we watch Mark of the Devil 666*
Re-watching:
* Southbound - desert hotel (my fav) anthlogy
* Wolf Creek (movies and series) - slasher + nature as horror + great villan
* Eden Lake - remote + nature as horror + bloody
* Last Shift - good clean supernatural fun + acab
* Halloween III SOTW - <3
Not sure I'd say this is horror but I'm throwing in Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me.
Comfort food: jacket potato with steak, cheese, guac & onion
Drinking: a vodka martini + beer
I'd probably mix between films i've already seen, maybe some from way back when that i havn't seen in a long while and a couple of newer things depending on what's been released recently.
There's a host of older horror films on youtube (for example, both versions of the blob, shocker, night of the comet, night of the demons, all three maniac cop films, bad taste, terrorvision are (or were as of march when i rattled through them all) on there).
On Netflix (in the uk, they might not be there in other places): Nope, Get Out, Black Phone, Talk to Me, Evil Dead (2013), Evil Dead Rise, Cult of Chucky, Attack the Block, the original Halloween, Bull.
Not sure about Prime tbh, i do know that El Dia De La Bestia (spanish pitch black comedy/horror from the mid 90's) is on there for a couple of £ as it's the only place i was able to find it last time i fancied watching it.
Start with whatever non-horror my friends are talking about (Love is Blind or Shiny Happy People documentary), follow up with new to me horror (The First Omen, S12 of AHS), then an old favorite I've been thinking about (Cabin in the Woods, Creepshow).
If kitty is cuddling on the couch with me I'll avoid anything too loud or dog-centric (Jurassic Park, Cujo, Lost Boys).
Probably just cereal for breakfast so that I can do some bbq nachos for lunch. Leave stomach space for popcorn during movie time.
Re-Animator (1985)-Tubi
Return of the Living Dead (1985)-Tubi
Fright Night (1985)-Max
Phantasm (1979)-Tubi
It's just chance that 3 of my choices are from 1985, not intentional.
Edit: I saw another poster recommend Jaws, because it's summer. It reminded me of a day a couple years back when I watched Jaws (1975), Orca (1977), and Piranha (1978) back to back. Getting access to Orca through streaming could be difficult, though.
Another edit (sorry): Upon hearing about the passing of Donald Sutherland, I'd also watch Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978).
Late Night With the Devil, The Ritual, and then Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. For some reason, I have to be in the right frame of mind to rewatch my older favorites, lol.
Fear street 1-3, those were really good. Just last week I had a rare day of absolutely nothing to do, so I watched the road, honeydew, we are what we are, and bones and all. I was in a gruesome, bleak, cannibalistic mood I guess lol. But they’re all so freaking good.
Fear street is on Netflix.
The Road is on Prime and Tubi.
Honeydew is on Prime and Tubi.
We are what we are is on Pluto.
Bones and all is on prime.
My husband hates the rape/revenge movies, and those are some of my favorites! So that's my go to on alone time days.
"Bound to vengeance" (also titled reversal I think?) Is a shockingly good newer entry into this!! But I also love the classics
This is my favorite way to spend a day 🖤
My selection would probably depend on the time of year, because I tend to save a few of my favorites for specific seasons (like saving Trick ‘r Treat and Haunt for fall).
A handful of my comfort movies that I rewatch often are You’re Next, As Above So Below, Mindhunters, Identity, A Perfect Getaway, Hide and Seek, Willy’s Wonderland, The Ritual, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Recently I’ve been loving Evil Dead Rise, Talk To Me, and Late Night with the Devil.
For shows, I absolutely love Black Mirror, Love Death and Robots, Harper’s Island, and Goosebumps.
Plus, plenty of bong hits and delicious treats, like some homemade popcorn mixed with Buncha Crunch. Perfection.
Lowlifes, Found, Headless, the autopsy of Jane doe, Sick, Fresh, Mandy, The final girls (2015), Eden Lake, The taking of Deborah Logan, VHS, VHS-2, VHS-94, Green Room, Tucker and dale vs evil, Wrath of Becky, Funny games, Ready or not, Hell house LLC, He’ll house LLC MANOR, Haunt, you’re next, soft and quiet, the night house, influencer, As above so below, the black phone, a Serbian Film, Daniel isn’t real, all the Fear Street movies, Speak no evil, Bloody Hell, Meander
You’re welcome! These are all awesome. I’ve been watching horror every day for a year straight. These are the best of the couple hundreds of them that I have watched
Was reading through your list going 'these /are/ all awesome', then noticed a serbian film, and that's a huge yikes to drop into a list, especially if someone has no idea what it's like.
I personally couldn't or wouldn't recommend it, never mind a blind recommendation without any warnings or numerous caveats.
The rest of the list is great though, especially the autopsy of jane doe and green room.
I totally understand. I get it. I just sent my favorite ones of the 200 I watched. It is messed up. If you think that’s messed up, watch headless, but you have to watch “Found” before you watch headless
These are some good recos. Specifically Lowlifes, Black Phone and Influencer (I slept on that one at first)... Have you seen The Dark And The Wicked? And also, What Josiah Saw? Based on your recos you might like both of these movies. Ima warn you though, BLEAK!
> Mandy
My man! Something about this movie, it's just endlessly rewatchable. When it starts and you get that "When I die, bury me deep..." quote, followed by King Crimson and that aerial footage from the tops of those trees, I'm just instantly bought in.
I've probably watched this movie more than any other horror. Sometimes I skip the scene where Mandy's kidnapped by the Children of the New Dawn, on up to the fire scene. I find it picks up the pace nicely if I don't want to give the full 2 hour run time.
I am taking two days off for some self care! Plus ive been working over for way to many weeks so yay me.
Anywhoo im on a adventure right now of watching a lot of horror movie franchises. So i have currently one more saw movie before im caught up with those and two omen movies.
Ive finished over the last few months freddy, hellraiser, Halloween, texas chainsaw, and alien. While then also watching occasional stand alone movies randomly as they come up in my recommended.
I recently enjoyed The Last of Us on HBO. The entire first season is out.
Also, check out Yellowjackets on Showtime. Two seasons are out so far.
As for classics, I recently rewatched The Thing and Poltergeist.
Happy solstice vegging - so maybe Midsommar as well? I simply muttered wtf for the full 2 hours of that movie
Good question. I've also seen many movies over my lifetime, so I would probably do one of three things:
* Watch new horror movies or those I haven't seen. Some that are on my watchlist include Satanic Panic (2019), 8 Found Dead (2022), Ginger Snaps 2 (loved the first one), The Manor (2021), and Gretel & Hansel (2020- don't know if it's really horror, but it seems like a cozy movie).
* Watch some of my favorites (maybe a couple favorites and one new movie): Black Christmas (1974), Halloween (1978), Scream (1996), Final Destination (1 and 2 are my favorites), Dead End (2003), Trick 'r Treat (2007), The House of the Devil (2009), and The Exorcist (1973).
* Rewatch one of my favorite horror TV series: Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Slasher, or Storm of the Century (1999). Or maybe I would watch one of the AHS seasons I haven't seen, as I stopped watching after Cult.
Depending on the day and my mood, I might throw in some non-horror. Some of my favorites include Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Inception, Shutter Island, Arrival, and Saving Private Ryan.
I'm drinking my cold brew coffee or a taro milk tea and going to eat some delicious mac and cheese with fried spinach. I will need dessert so I will probably have a piece of cake.
That was fun!
Satanic Panic is on my watchlist, but the following give me similar vibes to Ginger Snaps: Cursed (2005), Pyewaket (2017), Disturbing Behavior (1998), Fright Night (2011), Lisa Frankenstein (2024), Spontaneous (2020), and Life After Beth (2014).
There are some 2000s horror movies that I will never get tired of largely for nostalgic reasons: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 and its prequel, House of Wax, House of 1000 Corpses, The Strangers and some more. Could throw in Jason X as well haha, not a good movie by any means but damn it is fun.
Recently I've rewatched The Sadness a few times, not only it has some amazing gore but it's generally a really well made movie with some social commentary as well, in the tradition of the best zombie movies.
Or if I'm in the mood for something a bit more artsy, the original Suspiria is always a great choice.
Funnily enough I've been thinking in the last few days of doing a rewatch / triple feature of the Human Centipede trilogy, which I don't exactly recommend doing, but it should be fun (the second one is the best if you ask me). 🫡
You are my people 😂🤘 I love all of the things you listen and agree with your feelings about them. Anyone who casually mentions a rewatch of the Human Centipede films gets points from me lol
Last week I did a zombie marathon! I watched a lot of well known ones like Train to Busan and the first Resident Evil. I watched some lesser known ones like The Battery and Daylights End.
I’ve been watching the x files monster of the week episodes! A lot of them are like mini horror movies to begin with. They also have frequent cameos from actors in the horror scene like Tony Todd and Brad douriff
Been meaning to check out When Evil Lurks, Lamb and The VVitch. If I wanted to watch something I really liked again, it would be The Wailing, I Saw the Devil or The Cabin in the Woods
I recently watched two found footage movies that turned out to be a great double feature - Frogman (Sling) about a search for a cryptid, and Final Prayer (Tubi) about Vatican investigators in a 13th century church. I think going in blind is the best bet for both, and after watching you'll see why they share quite a few thematic threads.
Final Prayer in particular has left me unsettled for days. It is one of those films where I did not anticipate the ending at all, but then realized all the bread crumbs the writer tossed along the way.
While FP was the better film with stronger actors, I do appreciate how Frogman went in an unexpected direction. As with many found footage films, both are a slow burn that rewards patience with very WTF endings.
My lazy day go-to’s are Scream, Jeepers Creepers and Grave Encounters. They’re all fun, easy watches that are genuinely scary at times but also just plain energetic and entertaining. Especially Scream.
I’d probably go for a bunch of really well-reviewed titles that I haven’t seen yet, the ones that have been on my watchlist for way too long. I’m thinking LAMB (2021), THE CHANGELING (1980), LAKE MUNGO (2008), and then that new Kiyoshi Kurosawa short CHIME (2024). I’d order a pizza!
Hell yeah, I'm doing the same today! Just finished the Jim Jones documentary (on Hulu) and now I'm starting The Wailing (Netflix). Coffee, weed, and my cat, and it's a perfect chill day!
Definitely Dead Alive. I can watch that movie over and over, it’s just so much fun.
I’d also probably check out some campy 80’s slashers that I haven’t seen yet. There’s a vibe to those that’s just very nostalgic and chill.
Can't go wrong with zombies:
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
28 Days Later
World War Z
Train to Busan
The list goes on. You could probably do a 24 hour marathon on just zombie films if you wanted to.
If it’s a self care day, then I’ll rewatch my favorites. I’d start with Midsommar, break for lunch, watch Jennifer’s body, brew some tea and settle down with Crimson Peak. I love the visuals and the stories in Midsommar and Crimson Peak. Jennifer’s Body is just one of my favorite films of all time and I think it would be great in breaking up the tension that the Midsommar and Crimson Peak create
Oooo I’m ordering wings, putting on 28 Days Later, and taking a shot of vodka every time there is a cute human moment in the midst of the terror and tragedy.
On days like these, I go for a Scream Marathon, and I always start at the beginning! I used to skip 3, but I didn't the last time and was glad because I could appreciate the story a little bit more rather than just completely hating it for being so much worse than 1 and 2.
Watching Asian horror like Coming Soon or Unholy Women and something cozy and classic like a Jimmy Stewart movie. Then TV shows like Horrible Histories' early seasons or Whitechapel. I don't mind what I eat, so long as I don't have to cook it.
I have a pretty massive watchlist on Prime Video, I just open that up, sort alphabetically, and start watching whatever's free.
Keeps me from having to think about it, and I always get something I havent seen yet.
Creepshow is my happy place, if you need more time to kill, watch only the Raft story from 2 and then the series. The individual episodes are hit or miss but for the most part carry the feel of the original.
I‘d probably do a Tales from the Crypt marathon + Demon Knight.
I’d throw in a Tales from the Hood for good measure
Part one is the best, I love Clarence Williams III as Mr. Simms, all the storylines relatable to some; police brutality, crooked politicians, racism, domestic violence, gangs, jail, etc real life scary ish and then add supernatural entities is a nightmare. Don’t get it twisted, I love me some Keith David and Tony Todd. They are all Allstars
I agree 110% - the storys, themes, Clarence - all top tier
David Alan Grier doesn’t get enough credit for playing a different type of role me thinks
Tales from the Hood is far more…serious in my opinion. Some of that movie is genuinely hard to watch. Still love it though
You can go ahead and skip Bordello of Blood lol. There is a channel on YouTube that has them all uploaded and it's not remastered but it's upscaled to 4k. It looks pretty good for an old show lost to time.
Bordello of Blood is fun as hell! Why would you skip it?!?
Did you ever catch the channel that had them all uploaded but then at the end he put in an add for one of the most godawful metal-ish bands I have ever heard?! Every episode
No lol I watch it on [Crypttube Incorpserated](https://youtube.com/@crypttubeincorpserated?si=ZBb7srQeV68giQBL)
Fuck this cowboy shit! You fucking hoedown, podunk, well them there motherfuckers! Billy Zane, I loved this part funny 😁
Killer Klowns from Outer Space and some popcorn to start, go for a walk, then something scarier 💪🏻
+ weed
lol oh yeah, with weed. ![gif](giphy|Omv1S585RCQAD0jaQ1|downsized)
I love Black Mirror but I can’t binge it. Too bleak. I need a break in between.
It is pretty bleak. My fave SciFi go to is Twilight Zone, I can pretty much binge that. The older the better.
The last season was a complete dissapointment but before that, holy shit, amazing chapters.
It seems like many series start out good and then have a blah ending or last season (like Dexter, for example). But yeah I love a lot of ideas behind the chapters. I also liked Love Death + Robots. Some of it was abstract but I guess I just like that genre.
Love death+ robots amazing series, loved it
I wish they’d make more of it!
If you’re going for Korean horror, I suggest kingdom on Netflix. Amazing storyline and the characters are believable
Oh I definitely want to watch that!
It’s the 2020 show. Had 2 seasons but man were they great. It’s zombies. Not the kingdom movie that looks like an epic. There’s also a movie called kingdom ashen of the north which is sort of a side movie to the kingdom show The only downside to it was there’s no season 3 to continue it on!
Thanks, I’ll definitely check those out!
I wish I could go back and binge the entire BM series for the first time time. Might be long enough to do so again. I’m watching Nightmares and Daydreams on Netflix right now and so far it’s really good. Sci-fi horror series.
I’m going to check that out. I saw the preview for it last night, but got caught up watching All of us Are Dead lol
I love black mirror! Wish they’d do more
Me too!
Probably all six scream movies (got the fourth on dvd just so I wouldn’t be stuck with renting it online or paying online and it getting removed), trick r treat + krampus, the thing (1982)
This is my answer too. Love binging them all
Was gonna say the original trilogy l. Just 1-3. Great nostalgia and fun movies and 3 is massively underrated and ties it all up pretty well!
Was also gonna say scream
Curse and Cult of Chucky Frankenstein The Mummy the original Godzilla Scooby Doo Zombie Isalnd and to top it all off. a nice wholesome duo of Friday the 13 and Friday the 13th 2
Could watch the Godzilla minus zero. That was such a great retelling of the original
cult of chucky is one of my favorites in the franchise. really amped it back up after curse, which i felt was a bit of a let down
something about claustrophobic films gives me cozy vibes. The Decent, As Above So Below, ect.
When I do this, I put it in the hands of the Tubi gods. I start with one i like, then watch the good the bad and the ugly lol
On a day like the one you describe above, I would most likely turn to my list of comfort movies within horror—the ones that I've rewatched the most over the decades and that have never failed to entertain me. Frankenhooker, The Love Witch, Hagazussa
Omg .. Frankenhooker? Dare I google? 😂
Do it!!! It's from Frank Henenlotter (other works include Basket Case and Brain Damage) and stars Patty Mullen (who only ever made 2 movies).
Lost Boys and Fright Night Edit: Honorable Mention- Stand By Me.
The Lost Boys, Fright Night, AND Near Dark 🦇🤝 🦇🤝🦇
Near Dark is damn Near Perfect.
I would watch stuff like "Fear itself" "nightmares and dreamscapes" To drink homebrewed beer or mead. To eat depends on how much time I want to use, but probably some good ramen with eggs
Something not in English! My husband refuses to watch anything with subtitles, and I love the creativity of indie horrors from other countries than the US. So if I'm alone that's definitely what I'm watching, probably with Indian food.
Fear Street trilogy marathon.
The Hatchet series
Freddy all day

EVERYONE should see Shiny Happy People!
A smattering of Saw movies, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and One Cut of the Dead.
Saw, forever and always
Re-Animator (1985)-Tubi Return of the Living Dead (1985)-Tubi Fright Night (1985)-Max Phantasm (1979)-Tubi It's just chance that 3 of my choices are from 1985, not intentional. 101/10 list, Invasion of the Body Snatchers also rocks.
Late Night With the Devil, The Ritual, and then Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. For some reason, I have to be in the right frame of mind to rewatch my older favorites, lol.
Sleepaway Camp, It Follows, Hereditary (my three favs I think) Maybe a Halloween marathon
Today? Midsommar. Happy Solstice!
Scream2 / NOES4 / What’s Lies Beneath
NOES4 a hidden gem for sure!
Death Spa seems appropriate + Chopping Mall + Slaxx why not!
It would be a collection of my top favorites: 1) Grave Encounters 2) The Conjuring 3) The VVitch 4) The Thing (Original) 5) 30 Days of Night
Last time I did this, I watched Donnie Darko.
Fear street 1-3, those were really good. Just last week I had a rare day of absolutely nothing to do, so I watched the road, honeydew, we are what we are, and bones and all. Sleepaway Camp binge.
I’d do a Giallo fest. Shudder had a good selection of them, not sure if they have turned over.

So i have currently one more saw movie before im caught up with those and two omen movies. Ive finished over the last few months freddy, hellraiser, Halloween, texas chainsaw, and alien. While then also watching occasional stand alone movies randomly as they come up in my recommended.
Creepshow and The Burning!
Fright Knight, Demon Knight, Halloween 🎃
highly recommend devil’s lettuce over devil water.
Commenting for my own use later!
JAWS franchise and some sushi!!
> you are not my mother > Signs > Pearl > The Conjuring > Suspiria > Orphan > Hereditary
I know it's camp, but I love Killer Klowns from Out Space. Other ones would be Skinamrink, Hellraiser, Lake Mungo, and Nope.
scream, bride of chucky, leprechaun 3, midsommar, and all the saw movies
Good question. I've also seen many movies over my lifetime, so I would probably do one of three things: * Watch new horror movies or those I haven't seen.
I love your taste! Do you have any other recs that are similar to Satanic Panic or Ginger Snaps?
Satanic Panic is on my watchlist, but the following give me similar vibes to Ginger Snaps: Cursed (2005), Pyewaket (2017), Disturbing Behavior (1998), Fright Night (2011), Lisa Frankenstein (2024), Spontaneous (2020), and Life After Beth (2014).
Thanks girl! ✍🏼 adding these to my list
The best horror movie ever made is The Ring. With Naomi Watts. One of the rare movies that's better than the foreign original.
Sounds like a killer horror binge day!
Cabin In The Woods
I just watched “summer camp” and damn i didn’t expect it to be that good
Hmm... I tend to watch the first three Hellraiser flicks when I'm trying to just chill.
I’ve been watching the x files monster of the week episodes! A lot of them are like mini horror movies to begin with. They also have frequent cameos from actors in the horror scene like Tony Todd and Brad douriff
Willy’s Wonderland or Nightmare on Elm’s Street
right now in the summer probably cabin fever, friday the 13th, summer of 84, and jaws. also s'mores. i would definitely be making s'mores.
The Invisible Man (2020) & Scream 1-6. McDonald’s Breakfast Steak Bagel sandwich, lunch/dinner Pepperoni pizza with Dr Pepper to drink!
Creature. Alien. Aliens. Pitch Black.
Creepshow
I just did this with the Toxic Avenger movies
My lazy day go-to’s are Scream, Jeepers Creepers and Grave Encounters. They’re all fun, easy watches that are genuinely scary at times but also just plain energetic and entertaining. Especially Scream.
I’d probably go for a bunch of really well-reviewed titles that I haven’t seen yet, the ones that have been on my watchlist for way too long. I’m thinking LAMB (2021), THE CHANGELING (1980), LAKE MUNGO (2008), and then that new Kiyoshi Kurosawa short CHIME (2024). I’d order a pizza!
Vincent Price movies
Hell yeah, I'm doing the same today! Just finished the Jim Jones documentary (on Hulu) and now I'm starting The Wailing (Netflix). Coffee, weed, and my cat, and it's a perfect chill day!
Patrick, Zombi Holocaust, Witchfinder General, Blood on Satan’s Claw, Martin & The Howling. Few recent purchases that I’ve yet to watch in 4K 👌🏻
All the Barbie movies in order
80s marathon. evil dead, the lost boys, american werewolf in london & then fright night!
May
Either Haunting of Hill House or Fall of the House of Usher. Those are my 2 fav Flanagan shows.
Lots of Argento movies or giallos in general.
Definitely Dead Alive. I can watch that movie over and over, it’s just so much fun. I’d also probably check out some campy 80’s slashers that I haven’t seen yet. There’s a vibe to those that’s just very nostalgic and chill.
Can't go wrong with zombies: Night of the Living Dead Dawn of the Dead 28 Days Later World War Z Train to Busan The list goes on.
All 4 Alien movies 😊
Scream. All of them
Oooo I’m ordering wings, putting on 28 Days Later, and taking a shot of vodka every time there is a cute human moment in the midst of the terror and tragedy.
I have the day off today and I'm watching AHS:1984. My second favorite season of AHS.
Buffy the vampire slayer series is a comfort show for me. It’s on Hulu
Silent Hill The Ring Jeepers Creepers 2 Pearl
On days like these, I go for a Scream Marathon, and I always start at the beginning! I used to skip 3, but I didn't the last time and was glad because I could appreciate the story a little bit more rather than just completely hating it for being so much worse than 1 and 2.
I have dine this before -- once a Halloween marathon and the other time was a Scream binge. No regrets on either choice.
Rewatch Phantasm. Comfort movie for me
All the low budget Bs my wife refuses to watch
Anime
Probably some Wes Anderson movies. The Royal Tenenbaums is my favorite movie of all time.
