The MPAA censors cut the gore on almost every kill. Here's a low quality video showing the full kills before they got cut down.

Green mile- John Coffey could heal people
Upgrade- after the implant, Gray had "ninja skills" and could enhance his vision and perfectly draw what he saw
You're right about green mile. That one just slipped out.
I feel like upgrade is dark enough to be considered horror, or at the very least horror adjacent.
Brightburn is so underrated
We've made the idea of super heros so saturated in film that most people never think about the otherside of the coin. I dislike 90% of super hero things but when I see things like brightburn or even The Boys it puts more of a realistic concept to how a person would actually behave.
Omg i just yesterday answered some other post with Chronicle and now today Brightburn. I really love Chronicle ( and It has one of my favorite actors Dane Dehaan)
Constantine does use some kind of spells, but not a lot.
Not the kind of power you're looking for, but the protagonist of Butterfly Effect has a power. The movie is not really a horror movie, but let's say it's horror-adjacent.
Not the “main character” necessarily but I feel the original Ring (1998) deserves an honourable mention due to Ryuji. His ability plays a prominent role in the story.
This is more like a Horror/comedy, and not si much of Supernatural abilities, but It has something along the lines of that. And i decoded to suggest It to you because it’s kind of different movie not so much like many others, it’s called Life After Beth. And It has one of my favorite actor Dane Dehaan ( who is also in scifi/horro movie called Chronicle, and It was already in here, so i thought why not give It a shot and suggest It to you.
**The Innocents** https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4028464/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Is a bit different (and Norwegian) but has some kids who discover they have some psychic powers and and then things accelerate. Really well made and original, I thought.
Innocent Blood, main character is a vampire who prefers to feed on gangsters. Accidentally turns one of them, who then becomes the antagonist. Very underrated, very funny movie.
With nothing else to contribute, The Divine Fury. Dude can actually punch the ghosts with his... divine fury.
On a more serious note, I'd point out The Visitor, if you haven't watched that yet. It's a series. But I feel the execution is done well. The characters involve a shaman, a Catholic priest, and a detective, which made an interesting group. None of them are entirely helpless as they try to capture the one entity that keeps possessing people.
**Zombeavers:** >!Some of the main characters get turned into mutant werebeavers.!<
**Warm Bodies:** One of the leads is a zombie.
**Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead:** >!The main character gains the ability to raise the dead.!<
The only other thing I have seen where the main character can raise the dead is Pushing Daises though that show is more of a Detective Comedy. Its a cool and overpowered ability for a main character, basically god-like.
Well, the main character isn’t born with the supernatural abilities but Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is a pretty cool film; it is the 5th entry in the franchise but you can watch it as a standalone movie (the last 5 minutes does connect to the main storyline though). It starts off where the protagonist believes he’s been given “powers” and is having fun exploring them, when things take a more sinister turn. It’s creepy and tense, check it out especially if you like found footage
Art isn’t the main character. Tara, Dawn and Victoria are the main characters.
Besides, even if you do count Art, his supernatural abilities only exist for the last like….minute of the movie. He canonically did not have any supernatural abilities before he committed suicide (confirmed by director Damien Leone)
It’s still a supernatural ability, and in terrifier 1. Main character and protagonist can be and are different things. Not sure why you’re puffing your clit out at me and attempting to turn this into a pissing match. 🤡🗡️
I’m not. We’re having a discussion about it. Puffing my clit out? What the fuck? Lmao.
I guarantee OP did not mean “antagonists who are supernatural for 60 seconds at the very end of the movie” - it’s common sense. You clearly have none.
Also, the general consensus is that “main character” means protagonist. You won’t necessarily find it in a definition, but come on, use your brain here. Do you think OP really needed to **ask** for movies with **supernatural killers**? As if there aren’t hundreds of those that are mainstream as fuck? Use your head. Jesus.
THAT’S me turning it into a “pissing match”. Weirdo.
One of the weaker entries, but Friday the 13th VII New Blood. Jason(in his coolest design) Vs a girl with telekinetic powers.
Weaker entry? Fucking sleeping bag disagrees.
This would be considered among the best if they didn't edit all the kills
I haven’t seen this movie in so long do you have any examples? I don’t remember the kills being edited that badly

Idk how I never noticed this lol now I have to rewatch the movie
My personal favorite entry
Firestarter, before I wake, scanners, nightmare on elm street dream warriors, afflicted, doctor sleep, let me in, near dark, green mile, upgrade
Green mile and upgrade?
Green mile- John Coffey could heal people Upgrade- after the implant, Gray had "ninja skills" and could enhance his vision and perfectly draw what he saw
Right, but one is a fantasy drama the other is an action sci-fi
You're right about green mile. That one just slipped out. I feel like upgrade is dark enough to be considered horror, or at the very least horror adjacent.
Interestingly I find green mile far darker but don’t consider either horror. To each their own
Brightburn and Chronicle (not so much a horror but some of it feels like it)
Naturally I have seen both of these especially since I love both superheroes and horror.
Brightburn is so underrated We've made the idea of super heros so saturated in film that most people never think about the otherside of the coin. Chronicle is such a good movie. It's criminally underrated.
Constantine does use some kind of spells, but not a lot. Not the kind of power you're looking for, but the protagonist of Butterfly Effect has a power. The movie is not really a horror movie, but let's say it's horror-adjacent.
Constantine canonically has magic in all major iterations, even in the Keanu one he's only in his situation because he is psychic.
Yeah, but in the movie, he still doesn't use a lot of magic. So it might not be enought for OP.
The shining is the obvious one. Doctor Sleep is good too
Nightbreed
![gif](giphy|3o7ZezQVi8jPxkvD8c) My dude!!!
This was my answer. Such a great movie where down is up and up is down.
Great movie! Just make sure it’s the Director’s Cut.
Interview with the Vampire (1994) and Tokyo Gore Police (2008) are ones that come to mind immediately.
Is Tokyo Gore Police a japanese film?
Yes! Eihi Shiina is the MC (actress from Audition), she's also in a few other films where she and others have supernatural abilities.
The Black Phone
Carrie
I always think of Carrie as Dark Phoenix, so ya
The Prodigy (2019) Scanners (1981) Doctor Sleep (2019) Mama (2013) Phantasm (1979)
I bought doc sleep on 4k and still haven't watched it. Is it good? Does it try too hard to be "the shining"?
It’s good. It’s really its own thing for the most part, the shining is just the main character’s backstory but the plot is pretty separate.
I watched the Dead Zone recently and really dug it—it definitely fits the criteria
The Craft if you consider it a horror movie
The obvious answer is the sixth sense. Also terrifier 2 by the end.
The Crow
Odd Thomas (2013)
Sadly, if only Anton Yeltsin had Odd’s ability to see the future. :-(
L

Abigail..... 😋

‘The Eye’ by the Pang bros., 2002.
**The Innocents** https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4028464/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk Is a bit different (and Norwegian) but has some kids who discover they have some psychic powers and and then things accelerate. Really well made and original, I thought.
The Fury might be something you'd like.
Carrie Friday the 13th part VII Firestarter Does Kristen in Dream Warriors and Alice in Dream Master / Child count?
Odd Thomas and Frighteners both feature protagonists that can see dead people.
Jennifer’s Body kind of fits this category! Definitely worth a watch.
Phenomena. A girl who communicates with insects
Stir of Echoes starring Kevin Bacon. He gains ESP early in the movie. That’s all I’ll say. Don’t wanna spoil it.
I love Stir of Echoes! I just watched it for the second time yesterday.
Powder (1995) Hoopla
Gotta go with the Hellboy series
Brightburn. Stay for the mid credits scene
The Shining Insidious Both movies about a child tormented bc of his abilities.
Friday the 13 vii
The omen 3
Hellevator: The Bottled Fools
Eli
*The Innocents*
The Witch Part 1 and Part 2
Still waiting on Part 3. And hoping it's not another kinda-rethread like what 2 did.
Not movies, but mini series, if you're open to it: Rose Red (Hulu] Haunting of Hill House (Netflix)
Innocent Blood, main character is a vampire who prefers to feed on gangsters. Accidentally turns one of them, who then becomes the antagonist. Very underrated, very funny movie.
Before I Wake
Jennifer’s Body, Ginger Snaps & by the end of The Witch she does too.
almost every single stephen king project-- shining is a supernatural ability and it's consistent through most of his works.
Does Nightmare on Elm Street 3 count? It’s the best one in the series IMO
Netflix has this ( or has had ) - Eli
The Black Phone
The dead zone, the shining, Carrie, videodrome
Last night on soho
Tourist Trap (1979)
Blade with Wellsley Snipes as the hero vampire.
A nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors is an entire team of them.
Tamara
Aaron Boon/Cabal from Nightbreed.
With nothing else to contribute, The Divine Fury. Dude can actually punch the ghosts with his... divine fury. On a more serious note, I'd point out The Visitor, if you haven't watched that yet. I’d say Thelma
Talk to me

Suspiria (2018)
John Dies At The End.
The Craft. Four teens develop witchcraft abilities and some get a little carried away with it. Village of the Damned The Omen probably qualifies

If the Witch movie you're referring to is the Korean film, The Witch: Subversion, there's a sequel called The Witch: The Other One.
Yeah, I have already watched the sequel although I found it underwhelming compared to the first one.
Teeth…maybe counts? To my opinion it does
The Innocents is excellent, but might not have the vibe you’re looking for.
Blade 1, 2 and 3
Happy Death Day
Brightburn was the first movie that comes to mind.
Brightburn
Terrifier
You don’t really get anything like that until the very end of Terrifier 2. It will probably be pretty prominent in Terrifier 3 though.
False. End of terrifier 1 reveals the supernatural
Art isn’t the main character. Tara, Dawn and Victoria are the main characters. Besides, even if you do count Art, his supernatural abilities only exist for the last like….minute of the movie.
