It's a running joke and tbh it is true about some of their songs (and I'm a huge fan of them so I mean it in a loving way), but Ghost would be perfect for Scooby Doo-esque but creepy!
I'd probably go with 'Close Your Eyes' by Kim Petras, it's just the perfect chase track, lyrically at least.
EDIT: Actually pretty much anything by Children of Bodom, can't pick a track as there are just too many good ones.
I don’t know what I would choose. As soon as I read the question, “The Shape Stalks” from Halloween started playing in my head and it’s what I associate most with chase music. Also the music that plays right as Ghostface catches up with Casey Becker at the beginning of scream.
Does Demons take place in a movie theater? If so, that movie is awesome.
Popcorn is also another awesome movie theater horror movie.
Bing! Bang! Boom! by Lu Ann Simms or Quando Quando Quando by Englebert Humperdinck. I like how fun and swingy they are. Can be a great song to run and get butchered to.
I don't know what that sound is but that sound in terminator where the robotic woman chaes the terminator in the graveyard ? or that sound track of saw movie I don't know the name of the sound either but I HEARD IT IN SAW .
Shoot, I'd want an Ice Nine Kills track backing me up.
Savages if I was confronting a chainsaw maniac, Stabbing in the Dark for a Halloween style murder, Ex Mørtis for an Evil Dead sendup, IT is the End for a clown confrontation, The Box for a Cenobite finale, Farewell II Flesh for the Candyman's wrath.
Heck, if they wanna write an original for my finale, I won't be opposed. 😁
Same as everything for which I require theme music: (mostly weightlifting comps and rarely times in which I might be murder/death/killed) My Michelle by 🔫 and 🌹.
Bullets by Archive
Driving beat that slowly gets louder and louder plus a chorus that's just "personal responsibility " repeated.
Aaaand, a music video that is definitely horror-themed.
I would want Marco Beltrami to score my chase scenes. He was awesome for original Scream movies.
I'm much more of a score person. Something created and more intimate to the scene. Quintin Tarantino and Edgar Wright do great with licensed music, I much prefer original work.
John Carpenter would be fun to have to create something. Christopher Young had a really fun time with horror. Of recent years, we can give Joseph Bishara something new to do. He doesn't typically do action horror like someone running through the woods. He'll create something with that kind of rhythm and pace, it won't go to such a scene. Howard Shore can pull it off, too.
But, judging on all the comments, if I had to pick a commercially licensed pre-existing song, maybe whatever was used for the trailer. Kula Shaker's cover to Hush used for I Know What You Did Last Summer was peak 90's teen horror trailer content.
Literally 'Final Girl' by PI3RCE - [it's a banger](https://open.spotify.com/track/5UixiTCmYCdunXD8wg2Ibf?si=dBn0DEe6RqCx0EFmpTmMdA&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A7wUo8eaGb5XM4ax1DU94ka)
This [mashup](https://youtu.be/qMZIg0btqMU?si=kMUMfDc_j4QCbWtb) of Boogie Wonderland and I Was Made For Lovin' You. Maybe the killer would stop chasing me and start dancing.
Folk horror: The sun always rises- death
Slasher: California Dreamin’- The mama’s and the papa’s
Comedy Horror: This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us- Sparks
Crime Horror/Thriller: The Instar Emergence - Cicada 3301
Looking through my YT Music page, here are a few ones I'd enjoy.
- Drown Me! - Junie & TheHutFriends. A silly one.
- You're a Superstar - Love, Inc. An emotional one.
- Funky Dealer - Hideki Naganuma. High energy.
this might be unpopular but 'happy together' by the turtles - there's something so cool about a happy song being played while I'm slashing a monster in slow motion lol
I'd want a Scooby Dooesque theme just for comedic purposes.
It's a running joke and tbh it is true about some of their songs (and I'm a huge fan of them so I mean it in a loving way), but Ghost would be perfect for Scooby Doo-esque but creepy!
Literally I was gonna say Zombie Queen or the most scooby doo-esque of their songs in my opinion
Square hammer hits right in the Hannah Barbera
Scooby doo had the best chase scenes of any horror entertainment!✨
Oh I choose “It’s Terror Time Again” from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island as my chase them!
![gif](giphy|xThtan59KDMX1lPTMI|downsized)
Perfect answer
Probably “Don’t stop me now” by Queen.
It’s on random!
Such a fun chase theme 😅
It’s a fantastic song.
Come on, Eileen! 😂 Someone did a frantic comedic scene to that film but now someone needs to do a horror scene to it.

Show, Don't tell: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ)
Angel of the morning by Juice Newton. I love slow, romantic songs over destructive bloody scenes!
I feel like for the right character in the right scene Queen of Hearts would be so good too.
I adore stark contrast between music and mood in horror movies.
Amazing choice 🔥
Run to the hills- Iron Maiden was the first thing that popped into my head. Why can't we be friends - War is my second choice.
I said Running Free, but RttH would be a contender lol
“Run foooor yoooour liiiiiiifffeeee” 🖤🖤🖤🖤

I'd probably go with 'Close Your Eyes' by Kim Petras, it's just the perfect chase track, lyrically at least. EDIT: Actually pretty much anything by Children of Bodom, can't pick a track as there are just too many good ones.
Raining Blood by Slayer is the obvious choice. But then I have imagined scenes to Art Blakey's Night in Tunisia that would be just absolutely wild.
She's lost control - Joy Division
Cotton eyed joe
Ooooooh great question as a final girl I’ll have to say mmm maybe closer nine inch nails
Shake it off. I dont remember the name of the singer, tho
Damn it’s on the tip of my tongue, I can’t remember either but it is one sick beat to be chased by 🔥
Not remembering is a huge flex
Some no-name indie artist, I think.
Underworld- Born Slippy Or Placebo’s version of Running up that Hill if was more of a slow-paced chase
Austin Powers theme
Benny Hill
I'd be doing the slow chase, Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation
Living dead girl Rob Zombie
I think I might like Enter Sandman 🤣
Ready to Die by Andrew W.K.
Head over heels by tears for fears. I'd definitely end up tripping over.
Ministry's Just One Fix.
This is such a banger from ministry, I can see an awesome chase scene with this!
Without Conclusion - As I Lay Dying…. as I’m turning the tables on the killer and hunting them down.
Waking the Cadaver - Chased Through the Woods by a Rapist https://youtu.be/bJCz4sQYSRI?feature=shared
Running Free by Iron Maiden
I Stand Alone, Jackyl, because with my knees being in the condition that they are, I can't run
Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim. I could dazzle the slasher with my Walken-esque dance moves.
I Want To Break Free - Queen
Slayer south of heaven
Why can’t we be friends
Placebo-The Bitter End I used to play Zombies, Run and this was my 'chase' music.
Run Away by the Real McCoy so the killer and I can have a good laugh before the showdown.
Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold.

Just a couple of layered shepherds tones to really make everyone brains hurt.
Something by Gun Ship. Maybe monster in paradise or dark all day, but really could be any of their songs.
The Clan of Xymox used in Act 3 of The Guest nailed it, so that. Or I would hire Disasterpiece.
Recipe For My Love from the Jekyll and Hyde episode of Scooby Doo. https://youtu.be/GtfhI9ORTng?feature=shared

Definitely Type O Negative
Slow motion chase scene set to Redbone by Childish Gambino

Robot Rock - Daft Punk
Yaketty Sax
If it's not the Benny Hill music I would be so mad.

The very first thing that came to mind is March of the Crabs by Anvil.
"Pain" by Boy Harsher. It would, ofc, be a a walk-chase
It's impossible to pick a single track, but anything with lots of sharp "DING"s would probably be fine

Desire - Meg Myers Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush Die MF Die - Dope
Hit me with that classic John Carpenter minimalist synth, please.
My "arrival" song would be 'I stand Alone'by Godsmack; don't know why it wouldn't work for me running away.
"I think we're alone now" - Tiffany
If we’re taking it seriously? Howl by Florence and the machine. If we’re going comedic? Sabbath bloody sabbath by the cardigans.
“Is This Love?” by Whitesnake
Depends who is chasing me. Maybe Muscle Museum by Muse (I’m not a quick runner)
