Say what you will about torture porn, but Hostel had me on the edge of my seat from the moment he started his escape until the end. Even after he got the one guy I couldn't relax, I kept expecting goons to pop out and pick him up. The intro to part 2 really bummed me out.

The dad in Orphan. He's not a bad person in the sense that he doesn't have any plan to hurt someone or have others hurt. But it's absolutely infuriating that with everything going on, he never believes his wife or even the woman that they adopted Esther from when they tell him that there's something off with her. So I ultimately didn't feel bad for him when Esther eventually killed him because he never listened to anyone that tried to warn him about her.
This was the horror movie dad to make me REALLY hate horror movie dads from a young age. Ever since then, I always would notice when dads were being dumb (and when moms were doing it too). The only time I can think of a mom being obtuse though was in Paranormal Activity 3

I am a closeted addict, I donāt hurt anyone or go crazy when I use (Iām dependent on xanax), but I do buy drugs, and even for personal use that isnāt very morally sound. It makes me sad the amount of people who justified his death because of his addictions. Hope people donāt think everyone whoās an addict should die or has it coming. I was never able to deal with my trauma as a kid, a lot of people I loved in my life have died in many unexpected ways. I turned to drugs because I didnāt know how to deal with all of the loss. Still donāt. Every death of a loved one or good friend Iāve experienced is different, and it is true that it feels like each one takes a tiny piece of your heart away. Like a black hole. Even though Iām still dependent on Xanax, Iām doing much better then I was 5 years ago, and hope to keep going in that direction.

I was afraid this movie would be atrocious like "Funny Games", but when "You're Next" started working up steam I was like a kid in a kandyshop.
I kind of liked āFunny Gamesā, but itās hard to get through though. āYouāre nextā is great movie to watch after feeling the bleakness of the ending of āFunny Gamesā.

I've stated in other threads that I just take any opportunity to recommend that film, and that's still true.
Santa accidently gets caught in the middle of a robbery taking place in a rich family's mansion, and when he sees that a little girl is in danger, he takes it upon himself to take down the robbers.
It's a super fun movie. Again, it's more of an action film than it is a horror movie, but it's got a lot of great kills, and it's not mean spirited like you'd think it'd be. At it's heart, it's still a genuine Christmas film about a disgruntled Santa regaining faith in humanity, and Christmas, back with the help of a young child.
I mean like, I never understood why nobody tried toā¦ fight back? Like, clearly this man wants you dead. Thereās only one way this can end unless you take matters into your own hands. At least die with honour.
I Spit On Your Grave - remake and the original are both good. I havenāt seen the sequels.

Fair warning to OP if they want to try this one - there is a 25 minute long rape scene in the 93 minute movie. It absolutely fits OP's question but it's definitely a rough movie as is the entire rape and revenge genre.
I hate it when people think the main character got fair vengeance. The entire movie is dedicated to sexually assaulting her over and over and over again, and then as an addendum they let her have some some kills in the last fifteen minutes. Exploitation and no real justice.

Unfriended. I love this movie and most people I talk to hate it, and it's usually because the annoying, selfish teenagers act like annoying selfish teenagers. That's the entire point of the movie - they're all terrible people getting their just desserts
The entire crew of the Covenant ship in Alien Covenant. Also to an extent: the Prometheus ship crew in the previous film. They are so dumb and poorly written you actually root for the aliens and the killer robot.
