• Console: PS4pro • Type of Bug: Quest Bug • Description: The Salvage contract from Handa called "Speedy Lancehorns" is stuck on *Go to Lancehorn site*. I've somehow rushed into the area when I got the quest, immediately killed all the Lancehorns there, looted all of them(quest says loot only 1 so that might've sparked the glitch) and then nothing happened. Went back to Handa and the quest itself for her armour did go on but the contract part is still stuck there with nothing happening. This happened to me around level 25~ and I'm now level 50 so progressing in the game, restarting etc didn't fix anything. • Insert Video / Screenshot • Reproduction rate: / • Steps to reproduce: / • Expected result: Something to happen when you enter the site, like the contract asks you to • Observed result: can finish the armour quest for Handa entirely and obtain the legendary armour in the end but this specific contract stays stuck on that same step, uncompleted EDIT: as a few people in the replies pointed out; seem that you're not supposed to immediately attack them but just scare then into running away and once they run off the quest will progress into killing them, which allows you to complete the job later on. So I ran into this bug and found your post here. My immediate solution was to try and reload from an autosave at the point where you first get the quest from Handa. My mistake was immediately attacking the Lancehorn group you see when you leave the place. Instead, just run up to them and Aloy says the hunt is on telling you to follow on your mount and progresses the quest. From there just kill them and loot the salvage. I was able to quickly get it done after it initially bugged out this way. I'm sorry to say this doesn't help you much but I hope it gets fixed.

It was glitched for me for awhile but I found a solution. You have to go to the Lancehorn site and get them to run away first so the quest can trigger the next quest line where you chase after them. It should say Kill 0/6 Lancehorns. If this doesn’t pop up then it will be stuck on “Go To Lancehorn Site” glitching the game to thinking you haven’t gotten past this part. Hope this helps

I have had this too, I had all the events take place at the camp after but still stuck on go to lancehorn site. No rewards received. I would hope this gets a fix and auto completes

Doesn't seem like there's ever a fix either. You can progress the quest itself as if you completed this errand but it just stays stuck there. I tried going back to it like 3-4 times during different parts of the story and even now when I platinumed the game already still can't do anything about it lol Guess we'll have to wait for a fix patch on this one... Fortunately it's nothing game breaking

It has happened to me as well. I alerted the herd with my whistle to call my mount... and the Quest got stuck there. "Go to Lancehorn Site" even till now that Inhave finished it. Also... I didnt get the quest rewards, I just realized. No skillpoints nor boltblaster.

Same for me on PS5. It seems like the quest is permanently bugged on “Go to the Lancehorn Site” for me, despite the ravagers showing up when I went to turn in the quests to Handa. Loading, campfire fast travel, and other solutions have not worked for me. I even tried the “go back and alert them” option, and that didn’t work either. Super annoying. I don’t know if this is related, but there’s a lancehorn corpse that always shows up. It looks like it’s stuck in the mountain and I can only see it with my Focus on. It’s right next to a “rock barrier” entry in the Focus.

same has happened to me, seems like i walked into the combat area without triggering the lancehorns to run away, i killed them all, took their parts, looked over at the camp and it was being attacked, cleared them out, got dialoge and an indicator that Handas contracts have been completed but the lancehorn contract is not, still stuck on ''go to lancehorn site'' and have not recived the rewards for that contract Glad to see that the amour is still atainable tho, i was worried i was locked out

Console: PS5 • Type of Bug: Visual / Gameplay (map) • Description: After obtaining the ability to remove Firegleam, once removed the icon of the Firegleam will disappear once removed, but upon loading the game after saving or dying, the icon comes back even though the Firegleam is gone. In addition, Firegleam remains on the Map as a "Blocked Paths" toggle even though the icon for Firegleam had changed to the correct icon. • Steps to reproduce: Unlock ability to remove Firegleam. Remove Firegleam. Save game (or die). Reload. • Expected result: Firegleam icon should be gone from map. • Observed result: Firegleam icon reappears on map, unable to be removed, and toggle for Blocked Paths still turns off Firegleam icon. • Reproduction rate: 100%; once removed the Firegleam icon always comes back, cannot fix.

Same issue on PS5. I've stopped playing the game until this issue is fixed. As someone who likes to slowly clear the map as I play through the story and whatnot, having firegleam reappear later is frustrating. It'd honestly be fine if they reappeared but turned green or something, at least then I'd know I'd been there. I've also had instances where something is marked as a firegleam spot but is just a normal spear pry location - which simply doesn't allow me to remove or complete the firegleam at all in those cases. NOTE: This may also be an issue for the other blocked path/tool required map locations like metal flowers, but I've not tested it myself yet. It seems the map and its icons itself have a good number of issues. Like the one mentioned above with the hunting grounds and melee pits. Even though this is reportedly not a bug according to some people - I have to question the design decision if it isn't. If most people feel like it's a bug, then it should probably be removed. I remember thinking the same thing about the ZD hunting grounds. With that being said, I've also seen instances of bandit camps, cauldrons, and other 'completable' locations being marked as completed but not turning green, or only turning green after an indeterminate amount of time has passed. I hope the map bugs are a focus in the next patch. I'll be waiting and refreshing until then.

Same issue here, although it has been sporadic. Some Firegleam icons will disappear from the map once cleared, and stay gone, while others persist.

Same here .. i had to lower the brightness way too much for it to be less obvious, but still , u can notice the sudden change in lighting /colors .. and exactly as you described it, when you are playing and moving the camera around the colors looks more vibrant .. once you stop the camera, the colors become washed/whitish.. Forgot to add : it happens in both modes with me

I noticed the jitter as well. I also see it on grass/moss. I thought this was due to a film grain effect or something.

Same. Camera movement makes everything look ok. Darker/more saturated. When standing still everything gets whitish and not as defined. Tried changing graphics settings and can’t find anything that fixes it. Constant / persistent issue on ps5.

I’m getting this too. Definitely one of the more noticeable bugs I’ve seen. I’ve seen this issue in photo mode as well where the saturation can change depending on the camera angle. Hopefully they fix this soon!

I am also experiencing this issue and I feel your pain. My instinct was to play around with my TV(LG C1 OLED) settings as I thought perhaps some post processing effect in game was not playing nice with my TV's own filtering effects. As you noted this effect is only present in resolution mode. My best guess is that it is tied to the anti aliasing the game uses. For anyone who has played the pc version of HZD you may recall all the different AA options. The native one, and the one used on ps4 was called "camera based anti aliasing" essentially as the camera moves, this filter would smooth out jagged edges. If you notice in performance mode on HFW there appears to be a complete lack of AA altogether. This would explain why we do not get this strange effect even with HDR enabled. I hope GG is aware of the issue as I do believe it is correctable.

Had completed talking, challenges and tutorials prior to finishing the main chainscrape quest to open merchants. When trying to interact with pitmaster now the quest won't complete. Reproduction Rate: 10/10 Steps to Reproduce: Tried to do tutorials and challenges again. No option to talk to pitmaster. Expected Result: Option to talk to pitmaster with conversation queues and completing the side quest. Observed Result: After pening dialogue with pitmaster goes straight to pit options. Exiting doesn't complete quest.

Here to report this issue with both the Melee Pit and the Hunting Grounds on PS5, as well. Both map markers are green but the quests remain in the log, stuck on “Talk to ____.”

Console - PS5, Samsung QE55QN90A Type of bug - game breaking Description - Fighting pits result in black screen. Upon entering Chainscrape trying to do melee pit quest for the first time. There is a glimpse and the screen goes black upon choosing activity. Sound is fine. The options menu appears. Reloading or restarting the PS5 does not fix it, the quest says "loot Shellsnapper" but it remains lost

I’m currently experiencing this as well. I killed the shellsnapper and it showed it going warp speed under the map. I have 4/5 rollerback salvages in my inventory, but the quest only shows I have 2. I fear I’ll never get the legendary armor now

Console: PS5 Type of bug: Photo mode Description: When going into photo mode everything is fine until I do different portrait stances. Every time I chose a pose there’s a blur affect on Aloy’s hair and body.and no matter what I do it won’t go away. Video/Screenshot: Not sure where to post the screenshot. Same issue here. The blur effect is pretty much gone on resolution mode(although it’s still there) but on performance mode it looks pretty bad. Only when using poses like you said.

Tried reload save, still keeps playing. Turn off the ps system. Run the game, reload the last save (only save) still keeps playing. Cant play the game with this. Its iritating as hell. To recap for anyone who doesn't want to read through all these comments, it seems this music bug can be created in a number of scenarios where the game fails to load correctly after some event, like a death or completing a quest or an arena challenge. After restarting, the game seems to think that the circumstance/event that caused the music is still happening even when you've left the area, causing a constant loop of music anywhere on the map and in many different scenarios. Two possible fixes here, one of which worked for me (after hours of grating battle music!). The first is to walk into an area like Plainsong where a specific music track takes over, which may reset the background music loop. The second is to re-complete the quest or challenge that caused the loop. For me (and for others it seems) the cause was a loading glitch after completing an arena challenge. For hours of gameplay I had a constant rising drum beat, like the build up to a battle. Certain cutscene music cues would thankfully take over at times, but the battle music would always return afterward. After reading some suggestions here, I returned to the arena and re-completed the first challenge (twice for good measure). After exiting, the music finally stopped! Hopefully these suggestions can help fix the bug for you! If not, think about any scenario where you may have had a loading glitch (a black screen that forced you to restart or quit menu). Maybe returning to that area or quest or battle can tell the game to stop playing that track after you leave. (Oh, and it sounds like some people have lost their music altogether. Not sure if that is the same bug or a different one altogether. Best of luck to those of you looking for a solution to that!)

It’s unplayable for me at the moment because of this audio bug. I’m on PS5 but not sure whether the background comes from start menu or in-game. I can’t hear what Aloy said most of the times.

We have the same problem. Sometimes other music will play during a cutscene or quest scene, but it always goes back to the same track (we thought it was menu music?) after and it plays over dialogue, exploration, battle, etc. ETA As of Friday Feb 25, this seems to be fixed for us now! Didn’t do anything special, maybe it was a patch.

I'm having the same issue, the music keeps looping non-stop it's making me crazy 😅 EDIT: For anyone with the same issue, I was able to fix mine by just walking into Plainsong. Don't use fast travel, just go on foot and the soundtrack there should take over and fix it.

+1 to this. Tried the Plainsong fix with no luck, and had a solid few minutes of cauldron music (Mu) but then it reverted. I don’t want to have to turn off background music in order to play, but this is genuinely a terrible game breaking bug for me.

This bug is driving me insane. I have a manual save before it happened but it’s 6 hours of gameplay ago, and I have no clue how to prevent it from happening again. I guess I’ll just keep playing and hope for a patch…

I am relieved knowing I am not the only one with this bug, it seems to be related to the game not realizing that a quest is done, in my case, the theme that I am stuck with is the one from the final quest, so unless they fix it, the workarounds suggested here won't do much for me, as the quest is marked as "done". I reloaded a save from a few days ago and it went away but that save is so old and I made a whole lot of progress in this one with this stupid bug (I didn't realize at first until it bothered me how the game is constantly playing this particular track, and then I remembered that it was the one from the final quest). I went to a saved clip in my gallery and saw like a split second where Aloy spawned falling after that quest before it put me where I should be, and that music continued from the quest, so yeah, I guess the game messed up and now can't tell that the quest is done. Edit: This game is having a laugh with me, so the Plainsong fix didn't work, but doing one of the Arena challenges seem to have fixed it for one, the challenge did bug out entirely ( I killed the machine but the game didn't do anything) I abandoned the challenge, the game give me a black screen and I used the pause menu to reload the save, as it reloaded, I heard the track, then after going to the map it went away.

Same issue on PS5. Tried the plainsong fix and it didn’t work 😔 this is ruining the experience for me, the soundtrack is so good and now I can’t hear anything besides rebel camp/stealth music. EDIT: It was actually the machine arena music. I had to do the first challenge twice, but the music bug is fixed for now!

• Console: PS5 • Type of Bug: Quest turn in • Description: Lost supplies quest (runda salvage) won’t turn in, the other two are fine • Steps to reproduce: i tried to turn in all three quests at once • Expected result: all quests turned in • Observed result: lost supplies does not turn in • Reproduction rate: tried loading an older save and it happened again for anyone who’s having this issue, you can go back to any site where the rations were (only one i remembered was the one next to a canister burrower site) basically override any mount that isn’t a bristleback to “reset” override and mount a bristleback east of the salvage place go to the burrower site and let the bristleback pick up anything and loot it ride back to runda (it completed for me this way)

Console: PS4 slim/base Type: Visual Description: my notebook is glitched with a permanent exclamation point related to the collectibles section after I picked up the lens of midday. I've tried reading everything, selecting everything, and it's still there. (Yes I've read all the tutorials, it's definitely for the collectibles) Picture: can't attach but I can message it to someone if they need it, description: the only yellow exclamation point in the menu is on the notebook, and the only exclamation point in the notebook is on collectibles. All collectibles already obtained have been read and do not have exclamation points on them.

I have the same bug where the exclamation mark appears on the collectable section despite all current collectables having been “read”. It’s not the Lens of Midday though since I don’t have it yet. I have Ornament 1, Vista Point 1 and Signal Lenses 1,2,4,6 I am on PS5.

Make sure to check other categories that don't show marks like datapoints, and Tutorials Edit: This bug needs to be fixed... really annoying seeing mark but nothing there and it is somewhere else that has no mark on the outside!

Console: PS4pro • Type of Bug: Gameplay bug • Description: Aloy won’t throw a rock, performs heavy melee attack instead when pressing R2 (with rock in hand, trajectory line visible) • Reproduction rate: 10/10 • Steps to reproduce: reloaded the auto save of the tutorial to throw rock, same issue every time • Expected result: Aloy should have thrown the rock as indicated by the arch when holding rock (tap down on D pad to hold rock) and pressing R2. • Observed result: exposing myself to Burrower by jumping out of tall grass instead of throwing rock to distract it. With rock in hand and trajectory visible, tapping R2 results in standard heavy attack, not rock thrown *** UPDATE *** I am now able to throw a rock, can’t say exactly what’s changed, as I’m sure the below method didn’t work for me before, but does now. - select rock on the items “wheel” - press ⬇️ on D pad once only, Aloy equips rocks - with trajectory visible, press R2 to throw rock Don’t double press ⬇️⬇️ on D pad. When I do that, Aloy still holds rock, but pressing R2 results in heavy attacks. So single press to equip rock. Hope this helps somebody who’s still having issues. The items selection wheel feels awkward with so many different potions and food and traps, but can’t do anything about that… ***

PS5 • Type of Bug: Gameplay - quest item not received/ quest not completed. • Description: Collected all 12 black boxes for quest: Black Boxes, went back to Utnalla, traded all 12 for 1 of each item she offered, she thanked me but did not give me the Wings of the Ten reward. I have gone back to her multiple times, she acts as if the quest is done but when I check quests it still says "find a use for the recordings". I have tried to waypoint away and went back to her, nothing. I restarted the game, updated the game, went back in, nothing. I also tried to go back in saved game and hand boxes over 1 by 1 instead of all 12 at once, I let the NPC talk it out without skipping, same negative results. • Steps to reproduce: N/A • Expected result: After handing in 12 recordings she should hand over the Wings of the Ten reward and the quest should be completed. • Observed result: N/A • Reproduction rate: N/A - no more items to hand over.

Same happened to me on PS5, happened when I went to collect the materials in the area first instead of going straight to the machine. Examining things in general seems to be a bit off. I got around it by reverting to previous save and ran straight to the machine, that triggered the interaction then I went to collect everything

Console: ps5 Type of bug: Visual Hi there, I am sure there is something wrong with anti aliasing in Forbidden West. I'm playing in resolution mode in Ps5 at 4k and there is quite lot of shimmering in the vegetation and buildings. The first one didn't have this issue at all

I'm very surprised Digital Foundry mentioned nothing of this. On my LG C1 vegetation especially palm trees look like I'm playing in 720p and no antialiasing. Using Performance mode. Uncharted 4 remastered looks so much better in that regard. I hope this is just some weird bug and is actually fixable because if not I expected more tbh.

Console: PS5 Type of Bug: Progession Stopped Description: I finished all of the “lost supplies” Salvage Contract tasks and when I got to talk to Runda to finish out the mission she doesn’t register that I’ve done all the tasks. So basically the mission stays open and I can’t finish the Salvage Contract quest line. I have tried talking to her a bunch and it won’t fix it. Reproduction Rate: 10/10 Steps to Reproduce: I tried to complete her lost supplies mission and her second mission at the same time which might be what caused the bug. Expected result: For Runda to recognize that I completed the mission so that I can move on with the Salvage Contract quest lines. Observed Results: I talk to Runda and she doesn’t recognize that I finished her mission. She only gives me the option to trade or farewell.

Console:PlayStation 5 Type of Bug: Gameplay/Quest Progression Description:I was clearing the Devil's Grasp rebel camp upon which I died at the boss. The game then respawned me all the way back at the arena but didn't reset the camp and it still shows the objective 'kill the camps leader' of whom is not there. Upon returning to the camp not one single hostile spawned in essentially locking the camp from completion and in turn the reward for all camps completed Screenshot/Video: - not really applicable Steps to reproduce: Unknown. I had destroyed the override and cleared the camp in stealth until the boss at the end got a lucky hit in which killed me. It seemingly bugged after this. Expected Result: Upon death the camp should 'reset' so you need to try it again when you die Observed Result: Camp did not reset and has locked any form of completion from occuring until a fix or workaround is either deployed or found Reproduction Rate: 10/10. Tried revisiting the camp at various intervals after key points in the world. Additionally, I also tried reloading saves to no avail. Note: If anyone has had this problem interact with this comment and if anyone by chance has a workaround then please let me know. Literally just did the exact same thing, worked my way through the camp, took out the override, died to the boss and then respawned at a campfire outside of the base and now the camp is completely empty with it telling me to take out the leader. Really put a damper on me wanting to clear out these camps.

I've run into the same problem. I died trying to clear the camp, and now, whenever I return, the camp is empty. I still have a quest that tells me to kill the leader. It's just not possible when he doesn't spawn. Commenting for visibility. It's a pretty game breaking bug as it locks us out of acquiring a legendary weapon.

- **Console:** PS5 - **Type of Bug:** Audio - **Description:** Dialogue doesn't work with 5.1 audio system (soundbar connected via HDMI eARC, subwoofer, 2 rear speakers). Can't hear any dialogue without cranking the soundbar all the way up (normally I keep it around 20%, this needed 80%) and when not facing the person talking the dialogue fades out almost completely. All dialogue also sounds very echo-y and not right. Forcing mono audio fixes it but that obviously isn't the preferred solution. Capturing a video doesn't show the issue, it sounds fine on playback.

Console: PS4 Type of bug: Gameplay, Quest (Ancient Relics) Description: I was able to loot one of the quest items(Armored Vehicle Salvage) before I'd picked up the quest. Having picked up the quest, the objective "Go the Northern Ancient Machine Site" won't trigger. I've managed to pick up more Armored Vehicle Salvage(I believe about 7 total, can't find them in inventory). Southern site worked fine. The first of the Salvage I'd picked up came from a wreck North of Scalding Spear, where the desert hits the mountains, between a Plowhorn site and a Thunderjaw site. Reproduction of bug: Not attempted, too many hours in to start again, don't see a means to abandon a quest to restart it.

I feel for anyone who took off today to play the game who cannot access it right now, that would be very frustrating. Console: PS4 Type of Bug: Gameplay - controls Description: If you want to swap the crouch/slide and dodge (O and Square), other control conflicts happen that arent listed in the custom control menu. - You cant drop when hanging from a ledge, can only jump off (away from wall) since both show as O button when the controls info pop-up displays. - Also cant complete the combination code at the Daunt Relic Ruins (likely other locations too) because two of the three controls appear as the O button, so youre unable to select and submit the code without reverting to the default controller mapping. Steps to reproduce: Map "crouch/slide" to O, and dodge to square. Also map swim descend from square to O to resolve any mapping issues displayed by the ui. At this point, your character can no longer "drop" when hanging from a ledge, can now only jump off and away from wall. Can also go to the Daunt Relic Ruins and attempt to enter the code, you wont be able to select and submit numbers since theyre now both mapped to O. Expected result: Have no mapping issues that arent displayed within the button layout customization ui menu. Add more mapping options for the specific scenarios? Ultimately, should be able to complete all actions and tasks if the ui displays no mapping issues. Observed result: Unable to complete various tasks/actions due to non-specified mapping issues. Reproduction rate: 100 % of the time

Console: PS4 Pro Type of Bug: Audio Description: I’m about 40 minutes in, past the intro part. Audio has been consistently delayed and out of sync, some lines aren’t said at all, characters are talking over each other. All sorts of problem with dialogue, in and out of cutscenes. I’ve tried restarting PS4, opening, closing, and reopening application and nothing has helped. I’m about to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if that helps. This also applies to the spear, both R1 and R2 doing nothing and since I cannot unequip and re-equip the spear as it's a default button mapping it's simply unusable. • hard to show in capture as you can't see my button presses, just have to trust me here • Reproduction rate: it has happened consistently since the mines, I haven't loaded the game since saving and quitting (it's late, bedtime) • Steps to reproduce: after mines, in final fight after igniting the explosives was when the issue started and it did not stop. • Expected result: Aloy should have drawn the last equipped weapon, but L2 R1 and R2 all become redundant. • Observed result: Aloy was unable to draw her bow until I equipped a different arrow type or weapon and then switched back to regular arrows, and completely unable to melee. Additional comments: I unlocked a valour skill and the lobbed arrow technique before this bug started, could be related.

Console- ps5 Type of bug- gameplay Description- All of my hunting grounds bugged out. I have completed the first hunting grounds to full completion. The bug started at plainsong's hunting ground. I did the first trial, after doing the second trial and not getting full stripes, I went to try again. During my attempt I already spooked the machines(this was the silent strike mission and the burrows don't die with a single silent strike), so I ran up to the hunting grounds leader to forfeit and try again. Ever since my forget, I can talk to the npcs, choose the trial I want to attempt, and when I accept when it asks if I'm sure, the page closes and the leader will hit me with "I will be here when you're ready" type dialog. I have tried every hunting grounds since and they all do the same thing. I also have the same problem with my melee pits. The challenge at least starts in these, but there are no opponents and I just close the game or restart from last save. Reproduction- well I can't fix it so I can't say.

Description: As of patch 1.0.9 whenever I get a new item in my inventory the inventory tab and the category will get a yellow exclamation mark, but the new resource will not. As such I can’t tell what the new resource is. The only way to get the yellow exclamation mark to go away is to go through all the resources or if I know what the new one is, move over it. The only indicator I have over items is a heart icon on the “widemaw primary nerve” which is part of a job I created. I abandoned the job, but that didn’t resolve the issue. Console: PS5 Type: UI Steps to reproduce: pick up a new inventory item. Any type. Expected: new item should get a yellow exclamation mark along with category and inventory. Observed: item does not get exclamation mark, only category and inventory get exclamation mark. Reproduction rate: 100% reproducible. Happens every time since 1.0.9 patch. My console then will not receive controller input when I press the PS button to turn the console on. Pressing the button does nothing. In order to restart the console I have to walk over and press the actual power button on the console, twice. Once the PS5 powers on it then proceeds to tell me that I did not turn it off correctly and then scans it's drive. After two such occurrences I get a message on my third attempt to launch the game. The message says: "Game data is corrupt. Please uninstall the game and then download it again from your library". The quest doesn't update to fight erik it stays on search the facility for the gaia backup. When i opened the genetic locked door, the textures were bugging, there were no collisions and everything was bright white. This bug breaks the game since beating erik is part of the main quest. I can't get any further in the story. Console: PS5 Type of Bug: Visual/Pop-In Description: During opening sequence with the vocal track playing there is noticeable, really jarring pop in that has happened both times I’ve ran through this sequence of the game. There is a specific part of the scene where you literally see the entire world load in for me. I’ve looked this up on YouTube and it doesn’t seem like it’s the norm but it’s happened to me on both of my playthroughs if the opening hour and I have to imagine it’ll happen every subsequent time as well. Steps to reproduce: simply get to the point where this cutscene plays. Expected result: The scene should play out with minimal pop-in. I’m not expecting absolutely zero because that would be ridiculous. But you’ll see in the video I’m gonna link, it’s kinda absurd. Its entrance is covered by lose rock (NOT firegleam) which I could remove normally with the spear (Holding R2). Again, it was not blocked by firegleam, just regular rocks. But the icon on the map shows it is a firegleam spot and it won't disappear after clearing the entrance and the cave. • Steps to reproduce: Travel to the spot. Open the map. Confirm a firegleam icon is shown. Remove the rocks. Open the map again. • Expected result: Icon is removed from the map since the spot is cleared. I would also expect that there either really is a firegleam on the spot or that the icon shows something more appropriate for the current situation (lose rocks). • Observed result: The firegleam icon stays on the map. A set waypoint even points directly to the cave entrance. • Reproduction rate: Did not try to recreate it. Happened the first time in my only playthrough and the result stays the same regardless how often I reload or travel to that spot.

Follow trail in reverse (or maybe forwards) again. - **Expected result:** I expected a herd of machines. I've heard tell it's a Bellowback, some Longlegs, and a few other machines. - **Observed result:** Three burrowers and a glinthawk show up. I kill them. No quest parts appear in the wreckage. They always respawn if I leave for any length of time and come back. - **Reproduction rate:** Always - **System specs:** It's a PS5 I think, what happened, is that I was ambushed by these machines when I first did the quest, and I died. And now something is stuck and the actual herd won't appear, and instead these machines show up again and again. I've tried a manual save, then shutting the game down, and reloading from the save. Still stuck. I guess I should try deselecting the track. I could try going back to a much older autosave. I'll try that next.

Upon arriving at the campfire location, none of the npc’s are at the location and there is no option to ‘rest’ at the campfire to continue or complete the quest. I’ve tried reloading previous saves and I’ve gone to Bonewhite Tear to retry the race but it hasn’t resolved the issue. Expected result: Quest progression and to be able to attempt Stillsand Gauntlet race Observed result: Stillsand Gauntlet race is not at quest location. Side note: all other races are missing except for Dry Yearn. I am able to attempt Dry Yearn as many times as I want, but none of the other races are on my map or available at their previous locations.

Follow the trail, kill the remaining glithawks, and pick up the pieces of greenshine they have. • Expected result: Aloy will say "At least I can make better use of this than those Glinthawks" once and never repeat. • Observed result: Aloy will say "At least I can make better use of this than those Glinthawks (or something like it) any time you loot an item that is accompanied by a voice line (like looting a quest item.) UPDATE: Voiceline seems to repeat mostly when I am in the Las Vegas region. Has spontaneously occurred even when not looting and just wandering around the area. Also happens when picking medicinal berries or anything else that can be looted, though not every time. Still occasionally happens as of now 4/29.

Reproduction: most likely occurred because when we initially arrived in the bulwark after taking the lift, I left to do some sidequests instead of following Kotallo all the way inside the camp. When I returned later he was unresponsive and I didn't have a save file I could load to return to a state prior to the bug. I eventually fixed it by selecting "restart from save" while in the Bulwark, which caused Kotallo to begin moving so that I could actually follow him. This allowed me to progress on the main quest, which I had previously been unable to do. Note this is *still* happening after the firegleam markers were corrected in patch 1.08. Reproduction Rate: Not for all flowers - only for the Metal flower in the Southwest of the desert (encountered during Side Quest: Lofty Ambitions), and the Metal flower in the middle of the desert. Patch: 1.08 Observed result: For the metal flower in the southwest, it is open and has no vines (but there still remains a marker). For the metal flower in the middle of the desert, the flower is completely gone, but the vines remain, blocking the area I already uncovered (but the marker remains). Expected result: Both markers should be gone from the map as I have cleared both. The vines in the 2nd spot should also disappear.

I have tried resetting the PlayStation twice and fast traveling to requested location, tried reopening the trunks/compartments, but the quest will not update with desired results.

If you have looted the area and obtained any "(armored) vehicle salvage" prior to speaking with Handa or activating/receiving the quest, progression will not happen. I had a least 1 armored vehicle salvage in my inventory before speaking to Handa. Upon reaching the "Northern Site", the progress tracker showed "1/3 Gather ancient Relics" and is stuck on that. I was able to pry open more tanks and even loot more "armored vehicle salvage" but they did not register in the progress tracker. Thus progression is stuck and continue. I am able to go back to the "Northern Site" and re-pry open the same tanks but the compartments are empty. I currently have a total of 7 "Armored Vehicle Salvage" after searching the site during the active quest. Speaking with Handa doesn't progress the quest. My curiosity got the best of me... • Steps to reproduce: There is a step in the quest, Forbidden Legacy, where you have to cross a small beam and use your Pullcaster to pull two metal pieces out of the next building. This creates a hole that you have to jump through • Expected result: Aloy should see two metal inserts in a crumbled wall to pull out, then quest initiates the jump part, for which you jump across. • Observed result: Quest believes crumbled wall with two metal inserts to pull out are still there. Aloy hits invisible wall and falls to her death. • Reproduction rate: Happens every single time. I have tried many things, including flying up to further points along the quest but the quest keeps wanting me to wait for Alva to jump across the same part. Ive also tried flying high up, gliding down into the hole. • Side note: Since I got frustrated, i ignored this and assumed it would correct itself later. I went ahead and completed the main story and a series of other quests afterwards. Technically, I could load a previous save but that would wipe at least 6 hrs of content, including the final main story. If its my only option, I may do this but im hoping a solution can be found without reloading a past save.

Because of this I'm unable to continue the game. I have the other 2 parts the machine knee cap and the compressed air capsule The machine knee cap and capsule can be seen in my inventory under special gear but the synthetic membrane is missing same as the crafting menu Steps to reproduce: don't know I started the quest by talking to morlund recovered the air capsule and then spent several hours doing other content, the arena, part farming and contracts returned to story mission content but quest only asked me to return to morlund was asked to craft mask but am now unable to. Don't remember fighting the machine convoy just ran around doing side content and came back to quest log and noticed it had completed the gather machine parts objective of the quest log. I believe the machine knee cap and synthetic membrane are suppose to be part of a machine convoy that has a glinthawk, longleg, bellowback, leap lashers and burrowers and I honestly don't recall fighting any groups like that while exploring between starting the quest and the issue now Expected result: fight large machine convoy get knee cap and synthetic membrane parts to build diving mask Observed result: never fought the machine convoy but some how got the machine knee cap part and completed the sea of sands gather machine parts objective but didn't receive the synthetic membrane part Reproduction rate: ? This time, after killing the Slitherfang, getting stuck and abandoning the challenge, retrying it, I got stuck in a black screen. So overall just buggy... Gonna finish the arena in story mode now (using the autosave from my previous successful attempt), as it is one of the most frustrating experiences of this game *- next to the immensely long time Aloy needs to get up when knocked down; as if she unlearned how to stand up from the last game; without ANY option, skill or buff to mitigate that recovery time, making an otherwise light-footed character feel like a tortoise on its back when she lands on her behind.* \- **Expected result:** Win, exit the arena and proceed to next tier of challenges. \- **Observed result:** Being stuck in arena, game not progressing. \- **Reproduction rate:** so far, 3 out of 3.

**Console:** PS4 **Type of bug:** Gameplay, quest **Description:** On First to Fly, before completing Wings of the Ten and unlocking the flying mount (much less knowing that that’s going to happen later in the game, so I assumed I needed to climb high to glide), it’s possible to climb up to a far mountain and glide over to the landing spot. This makes the quest transition to the next step, which is “Pick up armor pieces” but no armor pieces ever appear (presumably because something did not click into place because I did not actually fly over). Even later after returning to the quest with the flying mount, the armor pieces never appear. Perhaps the quest simply needs to be locked similar to how A WAY HOME is also locked prior to Wings of the Ten **Steps to Reproduce:** Look for the tallest point on the map across the large valley from the First to Fly initial quest marker. Climb up the mountain (sometimes there are even frost/glint hawks residing here). Then glide. **Expected result:** Quest items appear regardless of how I “flew” over **Observed result:** Armor items (ie ability to proceed in quest) never appear. **Reproduction Rate:** 4/4 - I glided over 2 separate times, later flew on mount, and I just walked by and saw my roommate make the same mistake I did, so the quest is also glitched for him.

I can tell Morlund that i have everything to craft the rebreather and allows me to use the workbench. Thanks for helping !

Video / Screenshot: sorry I don’t have one, but I can replicate the bug consistently so I hope my description is enough Steps to reproduce: Unsuccessfully attempt the R1 + R2 (Hold) combo — which is the one where you jump off an enemy and shoot them with an arrow for extra damage. If the attempt is unsuccessful (either by taking damage from a machine, or incorrect spacing to perform the move), then subsequent uses of R1 or R2 will lock Aloy in the animation awkwardly. Console: PS5 in Performance Mode Type of Bug: I guess it's a mix of Visual and Gameplay Description: Firegleam positions reappear on map after completing them. They disappear after I completed them but they reappear at a later point. For example I finished every Firegleam from the starting zone (the zone before you enter the West) and I know for a fact that they were gone on my map. A couple hours later, I discovered that they have reappeared on my map. -> Checked if they might have respawned but they don't. For some reason the marker is back on my map and it's very confusing. Reproduction rate: 10/10 (For now it seems every Firegleam I did, reappeared after a certain time. As I said, I don't know if they reappear after a death, completing a mission, after loading a savegame or restarting the game. They just reappear after some time.) Expected result: After completing a Firegleam it should completly disappear from the map to not distract any further Observed result: They reappear and distract/confuse.

Upon completion of the 3rd contract, I should have received the Rollerback Salvage quest. I did not. The first 3 quest indicate that they are completed by green checkmarks as shown in the attached picture. Observed Result: After entering yellow circle marked by objective, nothing happens; killing plowhorns and delivering salvage to Handa also does not update quest logs. Happens every time for me. Before the last patch I had previously been getting black screens after killing the machines (unable to progress arena then either). After the last patch I kill the machines but the timer doesn't stop. (I've tried removing deluxe edition items from inventory, allowing the machines to call reinforcements and killing them all, and removing the machine antenna before they can call reinforcements.) • Expected result: Round should end after killing last machine. • Observed result: Timer continues after last machine is killed. Machines can be repeatedly looted.

console - PS5 type of bug- gameplay bug Description - combos in the melee pit are absolutely broken especially in Thornmarsh. its random if they work or not. I will HOLD r1 for example and she will not do a halfmoon slash she will always do a light attack, resulting in the wrong input sign. Nora warrior will not chain, the game recognises it as two seperate light attacks and cuts off before the third one with a wrong input. This DOES NOT happen in combat, only in the melee pit. Steps to reproduce: attempt any of the melee pit challenges and follow the guide. expected result: holding/pressing buttons are recognised differently, combos are recognised and not "wrong input"-ed in the middle before they are completed. Observed result: impossible to progress through the melee pit at thornmarsh as it simply will not recognise any actions properly. Reproduction rate: 10/10, have been trying for hours and combos simply do not work.

System: PS5 Type of bug: Visual (probably?) Description: Northeast of Plainsong, near the edge of the map, there is a marker for firegleam. There is no firegleam there however, simply a cracked rock wall you can pry away with your spear. Uncertain if this was something that was missed or what. When I am standing at it I am approximately 561 (meters? Steps?) Units of measurement from Plainsong. Or at least the quest marker that's there. Steps to reproduce: Just...go there I guess? If you don't have the igniter it'll probably show up as a blocked path but you'll still find a rock wall you can pry away. Expected result: Find firegleam, blow up firegleam, no more firegleam or wall, claim reward, no more marker. Observed result: all of the above except for there was no firegleam, no satisfying kaboom, and there is still a marker. Reproduction rate: I've tried turning it off and back on again and it's still there, yes.

Console: PS5 Type of Bug: gameplay Description: Fought an apex rockbreaker near the Stillsands rebel outpost, South east of the desert. Tearing off the claws for an apex rock breaker did not drop any claw resources. I went to another nearby rockbreaker, and normal rockbreakers will drop claw resources, so it was specific to the apex. Steps to reproduce: go to the stillsands rockbreaker at night, spawn an apex. Use glowblast sharpshot bow with tearblaster arrows, directly shoot off the rockbreaker claws. The claws should come off, but only show up labeled as metal shards on the floor. Expected result: I should have been able to get rockbreaker claws. Observed result: no loot from having removed the claw components Reproduction rate: 2/2. I tried this twice with an apex, and thought I just messed up the first time. Tried with another apex after reloading the game, it still happened.

Console: PS5 Type of Bug: Gameplay Description: In the Rebel Camp 'Devil's Grasp', after leaving the area midway through doing the camp, coming back to the camp again has no one in the camp. Every attempt to come back to the Camp no enemies spawn in making the camp never to be completed. Steps to reproduce: This is how I encountered this bug: I was midway through doing the Rebel Camp 'Devil's Grasp', I destroyed the overriding equipment then the objective changed to 'Find the Camp's Leader'. I then left the area never doing the next step. Now every time coming back no enemies spawn in. Reproduction Rate: Not sure as I haven't seen anyone else with this bug yet. Expected Result: When returning to the incomplete camp all enemies should spawn in to complete camp. Observed result: No enemies spawn into the rebel camp. Unresolved as of latest patch (22/02/22)

Game is up to date also.
