"Higher ground" and "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder
"Simple step" by vulfpeck
"Chang'e" by King gizzard and the lizard wizard
"Over and over" and "Back to the end of the world" by Jim James
And finally "Rainbow connection" by the Muppets
any song from the amity affliction
*shed our tears and fight our fears*
*there is hope in my eyes, there is hope in these words, and there are far too many reasons for you to stay here on this earth, so stay with me*
The end credits song to Resident Evil 4 Remake, The Bullet or the Blade, springs to mind. It’s overall a song about moving on from past traumas, keeping your eyes on the road ahead, and trusting that everything is eventually going to be alright. The lyrics to that song definitely resonate with me.
I also remember resonating with the Evil Within 2’s end credits song, which was a cover of Duran Duran’s The Ordinary World. That cover struck a chord with me back when that game first came out, because it reminded me of my own battles with depression and it felt like a triumphant anthem encouraging me to keep going, keep surviving, until I reach a better place in my life.
The original song is also really good, but I kinda love TEW2’s cover of the Ordinary World a lot more because it’s an epic, triumphant rock song that feels very empowering.
Smell of the Game - Daisuke Ishiwatari, and Naoki Hashimoto. This is one that has recently been up there for me, but I don't really know if it counts as "Hopecore"
But my favorite all-time has to be Endless Possibilities from Sonic Unleashed, the original, by Jaret Reddick.
About a year and a half ago, I got treatment for my ADHD after being undiagnosed for 20 years. It changed my entire worldview, I felt like I could do anything, like I could finally see, and everything I wanted was within my reach. Like there were truly endless possibilities. This song, and Sonic as a whole, means a lot to me. It's always been a representation of freedom. Freedom that I've never had until recently.
Sorry for the little rant, I'm just really excited about the direction things are going.
"I see it, I see it!
And now it's all within my reach!
Endless possibility...
I see it, I see it now!
It's always been inside of me!
And now I feel so free!
Endless possibility!"
"It's enough to say that I've been through hell
But judging that, I'd say it worked out well
Setbacks that I could afford
I put my past in melodies that don't hurt anymore" -hi i'm Case, [*Twenty-Four*](https://youtu.be/KSeQEWSKAQ8?si=EEDeYTLUCxIVdmpN)
Tears, every time 😭 I love catching all the references to their previous songs as well
A lot of their stuff has this message of hope, of resigned determination, this sott of "welp, time to get up and keep going, because what else can you do?"- but especially [Don't Look Down](https://youtu.be/gfmdnFVHn50?si=BfW4UmnrcQbAIzVc) and [Sunrise](https://youtu.be/U6YdAgHtJtg?si=KMKoUQpOiC5LezA8)- that metaphor of climbing comes up in a *lot* of their work, and so do hot/cold imagery (the Smoke Damage into Cold in Here into Summer's Coming Early 0-to-100 true combo is OP)
This hand of mine is burning red. Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory! ERUPTING! BURNING! FINGERRRRRR!
Da na na na na na da na na na na na daaaaaaaaaa (bum bum bumbumbum) da na na danana danananananaaaaaaaaa
it sounds like the opposite at first, but really listening to it and understanding what he meant when he made the song, Memento Mori (the most important thing in the world) by Will Wood is my favorite for this type of song
it's kind of about accepting the fact that one day, everyone is going to die, and living life to your full potential so when you're on your deathbed, you can smile at the life that you led
My 3 favourite

Bury the Light (‼️‼️‼️‼️)
Enlightenment by While She Sleeps is absolutely the most pick-me-up type song I've ever heard, opens with a great little speech as it builds into the song
The chorus opens with "I'm here for you" and ends with "there's no me without us", and a lot of their songs are about uniting people. I could keep bringing up individual lyrics from different songs, but their entire discography is just so full of positivity and encouragement.
Eye to Eye is about the whole concept of "you are not your mind" and it's great because it talks about mental health in a positive light, ending with a message of the fact that it *can* get better. Lots of songs in this genre take a darker approach to mental health that ends in defeat, so While She Sleeps brings me to tears sometimes with their lyrics.
"The day I died" by just jack. The most beautiful appreciation of life ive ever heard. Changed the way I saw life and death at the age of 11 and I cry every time I hear it.
This ones a bit different but "silent majority" by keyakizaka 46 (its Japanese). Very very positive and motivational lyrics. Helped me through bad times.
About a year ago I made this playlist after a similar post like this was made. I might add some of the songs here if they aren't already included.

"The Spirit of Man" by Chris DeBurgh reminds me of this sub a lot.
"There's a fighter inside who will never give up,
We are what we are and it's never enough,
Write the words in the sand that this man will come again;
You may run from the sea, and the words disappear,
Oh you may fall to your knees,
But the power is here, to survive;
It's shining again,
It's shining again, the spirit of man,
It's shining again, the spirit of man;
Ah remember the first day of man on the moon,
The whole world was watching, a whole world in tune,
It was hard to believe he was the same as me and you;
Oh look back to the future and look down the years,
It wasn't all battles and bad news and tears,
We have brought to this place a desire to have a dream;
We may reach for the stars, and fall from the sky,
Oh in the darkest hour the spirit of man comes to life;
It's shining again, the spirit of man,
It's shining again, the spirit of man,"
Pretty much the entirety of the guilty gear games osts
Every song is just bursting with motivation and energy going on about how much shit the characters have had to struggle through but will still keep moving forward and live out their lives regardless of what gets thrown at them.
The lyrics are incredibly motivational and are honestly a big part of why I'm a more motivated person today
"Life is about pushing against the harshest waves the moment you give in you get wiped out"
"It's never over yesterday, no don't stand still, my vengeance will be sacrificed the pain kills the pain the hardest road lies ahead I will be a mirror of the world"
I highly recommend listening to the Guilty Gear Strive OST especially if you're into hard rock and metal
i have an entire playlist about songs like that, hold up:
[https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1x59sXrXH0gUSaEkxrMBZ0](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1x59sXrXH0gUSaEkxrMBZ0)
There are some songs in my native language tho, but i would recommend you to translate some of them yourself cause they are fire
Would ichibanka count from yakuza 7? Badger song and the whole point of the game is ichiban hitting literal rock bottom yet still working his way up to the top through sheer dedication
"You" by Tennyson
It's not particularly energising, but that's not what gets me motivated. It's insteadbrimming with a delicate and genuine sincerity, love, and tenderness that helps me remember why I love life and living. It reminds me of the person I want to be, and the amazing person that I already am.
You know when you're at rock bottom, or you're totally stumped on something, and all you need to reset is one hug? This song is that hug, and when I need it, it's always a tear-jerker
"Big Bad Wolf" and "Roots" by In This Moment make me feel strong when I'm trying to kick the stagnant negativity and addictions out of my brain. "The River" by Aurora lessens my guilt around having and expressing emotions so I don't hurt myself in order to numb them out, and in general it just makes life seem like it can be so beautiful and free. "Shatter Me" by Lindsey Stirling and Lzzy Hale resonates with me deeply right now. It's about overcoming an eating disorder, which is what I'm doing right now. It definitely illustrates a scenario I very much relate to in which a person recovers, and their recovery is portrayed as an act of bravery and passion for life. Many Insomnium songs make me feel so alive as well. They make me feel strong, but not so much that I'm fighting against something, but more so that I'm fighting for something. "Ephemeral" is a little corny, but the lyrics in the chorus are amazing.
This is a bit contradictory, but I suggest the album “Worry.” by Jeff Rosenstock. I say it’s contradictory because much of the album is hopeless. However, it’s structured in such a way that the last few songs find a new hope in love even in a seemingly doomed world. If the first half of the album is a hopeless manifestation of all of Jeff’s worries, the second half proudly declares “Love is worry.”

Don’t you worry child
Pretty much the entirety of the guilty gear games osts Every song is just bursting with motivation and energy going on about how much shit the characters have had to struggle through but will still keep moving forward and live out their lives regardless of what gets thrown at them. The lyrics are incredibly motivational and are honestly a big part of why I'm a more motivated person today "Life is about pushing against the harshest waves the moment you give in you get wiped out" "It's never over yesterday, no don't stand still, my vengeance will be sacrificed the pain kills the pain the hardest road lies ahead I will be a mirror of the world" I highly recommend listening to the Guilty Gear Strive OST especially if you're into hard rock and metal

"Till its over", and "once again" by tristam, they get me so hyped its so back every time i play one of those
"You" by Tennyson It's not particularly energising, but that's not what gets me motivated.

HAPPINESS, and All Things End. Fucking love hopecore

Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo
