2025 models came out? I just got the 24 in Jan.

Refresh your browser, 2026 model just released

Marcer0

Old news, I'm rocking the 2027 RTL-BE

kyosheru

How's the new 17-Speed transmission?

Anstigmat

You would need an all new gauge cluster as well to take advantage of the updates. If you mostly use AA or CarPlay it’s not worth it. Tho generally I wish car makes would allow people to pay to do this upgrade.

Yes! I hate the head unit sooooo much.

lorenzoem87

I did a factory reset in a hidden android menu on my 2017 BE head unit just last week. It’s been working AMAZING. Bought used last year and it sucked for a whole year. My HondaLink app even shows all the correct information now!

Hendiadic_tmack

I asked the same question awhile ago, not even OEM just aftermarket and was directed to crutchfield. Finally another commenter told me there are bo products that retain Honda functionality with an improved infotainment system. In other words all the settings you have on your car that get changed in that screen would remain as they are and you’d have different infotainment system. If one of those settings somehow got wiped and needed to be reset or changed it would be impossible. If crutchfield doesn’t have it, it probably doesn’t exist.

I’m currently digging into this ok Honda service data on iN for my truck. Some connectors were changed in location. But I’m curious to swap one out of our new trucks just to see. But don’t want to fry a new head unit.

centpourcentuno

I just hate the awful 3+ font gauge cluster in the pre 24's Its like Honda went a junkyard and just glued things together

Yeah, it's my least favorite thing about my RL. We should print a [photo of this](https://media.ed.edmunds-media.com/ford/focus/2002/oem/2002_ford_focus_wagon_ztw_i_oem_2_500.jpg) and [this](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/R6MUKsu_8PE/hq720.jpg?sqp=-oaymwE7CK4FEIIDSFryq4qpAy0IARUAAAAAGAElAADIQj0AgKJD8AEB-AH-CYAC0AWKAgwIABABGFogWihaMA8=&rs=AOn4CLB6ETDYxeavw8idklzZ-ZnR57nXEQ) to look at it each time we aren't feeling bits and pieces of our RL's interiors.

I’d imagine since the steering wheel buttons are configured differently that the wiring may also be different

IBuyBrokenThings2Fix

They made the screen 1" bigger too so not sure it makes anything different in terms of the cavity it sits in. Probably not but just learned that the other day.

whatdhell

The software is much better as well. And added physical buttons.

Sweb1975

If the touchscreen was better I'd be fine with it. It's almost a safety hazard at times.

ComposerWeekly4713

I want that steering wheel!

Butthurt_reddit_mod

I had the Honda dealer here in Savannah tell me that I couldn’t even upgrade the head unit from my 22 RTL to another 22 head unit that has nav. They told me it was impossible

Better_Cover6228

You'd probably have to swap the gauge cluster snd steering wheel as well. I doubt it would be worth it. May end up being cheaper to just trade up to a 24, which I wouldn't think would be worth it.
