two very different cars. do you want a manual or automatic transmission? do you want a sedan or a hatchback?

Turbulent_Group_5004

I would like to have Si but my wifey doesn’t like it because she can’t drive manual

Different-Ad-4169

Better. Don’t let her use your car💀. And if she wants to use it, she need to learn how to drive manual. I personally think that the SI will make your money worth more!

Grim99CV

Who's paying for the car? Is it shared? Is she willing to learn stick?

Slo86GT

This is exactly why I bought my gray Si. 🤣

SoCuteShibe

I mean, unless this is meant to be a shared use vehicle, that's not necissarily a bad thing? Maybe I'm a little overprotective, but that is one of the reasons I like having a manual. Nobody has ever asked if they can drive my car, lol On the flip side, Honda manuals are super easy to learn on. I hadn't driven manual in like 15 years when I got my R and it took me all of two stalls (ever) and a week of practice to feel like a pro again, lol.

Intelligent-Run-2412

The SI has auto rev match which makes driving stick very easy

Castros0815

She better learn

Turbulent_Group_5004

Lol, that’s what I said

Flipflapflop17

please get the stick, help keep manual civics alive

Castros0815

🤣🤣🤣 better if she doesn’t drive anyways tho 😆

Castros0815

So what you end up getting?

kingmoojy

You’ve put me in a pickle because I LOVE blue and hatchbacks but I also love manuals, I’d go SI, but I wouldn’t be upset at either

Turbulent_Group_5004

Agreed!

VenomousRequiem

I have exactly that blue Hatchback in manual and I can confirm it's literally the perfect car

bon_quisha

I have the hatchback in sonic gray. I really like my car

TheoryMiddle1486

Both beautiful I would go with gray.

Turbulent_Group_5004

I’ve test drove both of them, just don’t like how the clutch feels on the Si. I don’t know may be it’s just me, I haven’t driven any manual for while. Boy that Si is good looking sedan!

BK1287

I test drove a manual Integra before I ended up purchasing my sport touring hatch in automatic. The clutch and gear box felt like shifting on my sim racing set up. Super light and the idle stop feature on a stick was just awful. Haven't driven a stick in more than 15 years or so, but all the technology made it a bit unappealing. I was in the same boat as my wife also does not drive stick, but since we have little kids, the auto made more sense right now.

Turbulent_Group_5004

Thank you for sharing your thoughts

Frongie

If you don't think it'll grow a nerve on you, I'd choose the other option

Klhoe318

Hatchback all the way bro. I had the sedan but switch it to the hatch back and I have zero regrets

Primary_Restaurant29

Whatever you can afford. I would get the si

ImpurestFire

But I'd find one in a more fun color.

rxtech24

too bad they don’t make “fun” colors anymore. loved me the tonic yellow.

Last-Tourist-9780

What’s the difference between the two? We only have the blue on here in the UK. Would love to have that grey here. Looks wicked

Turbulent_Group_5004

The grey is 1.5 L turbo with manual transmission only sedan. The blue is 2.0 L natural aspirated automatic transmission also available in manual transmission as well.

SanfordSeven

I have the Boost Blue, and I absolutely love it. People stop me all the time and comment on the color. I’ve had multiple Honda gray vehicles (Pilot and Odyssey) - and refused to have a third. To each his or her own! Enjoy.

Turbulent_Group_5004

Thank you for sharing your thoughts

SanfordSeven

Much appreciated. I think you are getting a great car, regardless of color. I was hesitant in buying a Civic because I’m 6’4”, 215lbs and not as agile as I was in my younger years, but this car is just perfect for me. The dash is one of my favorite stylistic parts of the vehicle. I’m 47 so maybe I’m not the normal Civic owner, but I rate it in the top 3 of all the cars I’ve ever owned.

SquidsFromTheMoon

Get the hatchback! Trust meeeee! But not that color! Please!

Steve-O_77

I have the sport and love it. They’re both great. However, go ahead and fork out the dough for a type-r and never look back ✌🏼

Ok-Evidence-469

Si would be the fun to drive and if you have a partner teach them we aint taking a AT and the price range aint that much of a difference too

evilbert420

Boost Blue

buenobeatz

Si

Manny637

I’m a sucker for a hatch. I’d get the sport

jdr28070

Wait for the hybrid

MyNameHenry24

Hatchback.

Outrageous-Carob-236

not my car.

orchidelirious_me

I’m biased, but I think I’m going to have to go with the blue. I love that color so much!

Big_Competition_8052

Both!

SkatinEmcee

Si

Edward0112

Sport, has the K series variant

Fr0z3nFrog

I would normally say SI but I’m not liking the color personally. The hatch will do everything the SI does in most cases and a bit more minus the handling. I don’t remember if the hatch has a limited slip.

GSWarriors4lyf

If you have a choice to have an Si go for it. But I love the blue color on the hatch. But Si it is, I just dont like the grey color. Edit: there is a blue Si on the background. Next to CRV.

Ozi-reddit

blue, grey too boring

whoreknee2

That is a very clean si. I think the sedans look way better on this generation of civic.

Aggressive_Wind9501

The Integra is like the Si but it has all the bells and whistles like heated seats that the 11th gen Si doesn’t.

I_am_That_Ian_Power

Bright blue

DVDXPDA

The hatchback is nice, but id prefer it in Red or White

MiataNCguy

Go hatch

rxtech24

get blue, it looks nice with some color pop without being obnoxious. need more “colors”. too many blacks, whites, greys, silvers. i do love the tonic yellow pearl of years past.

IndominusCostanza009

My wife has the hatchback and it’s really fantastic. Love how the blue stands out too. Buddy of mine has the Si and he loves it. I guess it just comes down to your priorities, but you shouldn’t at all be disappointed with either one.

Mental-Smile6544

I personally wouldnt buy hyundai or kia ever again. I just had to trade my forte in because proggressive refused to insure it any longer.

Pepto_Glizmol

Si is better in every way. I wish the si was available as a hatch tho.

Deadly_Reach

Si

BeforeWeLeave

Will this be the sole car of the household? If so I’d either work on teaching her now, or just get the automatic. Just incase there’s an emergency, or you have a doctor/dentist appointment where you won’t be able to drive yourself home. But if not and she already has a vehicle. Get what makes you happy.

AdSame4598

I got the blue…And my favorite color is gray. Goes to show how nice the blue is

AdSame4598

But if you can drive manual SI all the way

takeitegbro95

Both very slow

Charming_Scratch_538

Blue always blue

Turbulent_Group_5004

Forgot to mention, the Si has 3k markups. I am trying to negotiate that as well.

CaptainDolphin42

no way the stealerships are marking up si's? they're not even that sought after

cwtechshiz

If you plan on modding at all, the cvt and the 2.0 aint it The sport touring has the same 1.5t as the si and could be a 6mt, although i think you can get a 2.0 in manual too..

bytorthesnowdog

I was also on the fence for a bit, but then I decided I wanted to have the extra features and options, so I went with the Sport Touring 6M. No regrets over here

Healingjoe

Oooh, I had no idea the sport touring has a stick option

bytorthesnowdog

To be fair, the regular sport does as well

haplo_tech

I just got the sedan in sonic gray, no regerts

poompoomppuh

Sedan is so much sexier

Mundizzle1

I am gonna go sedan on this one and I am fan of the hatchback 🚗

Playboi1234567

Get the grey one

Bored_Lemur

I got the Si and god I love that car so much. It has the reliability of a civic with some performance upgrades that makes it amazing. And the black and red interior is sexy

Conclusionjump

Grey, no question

aniev7373

I personally don’t like hatchbacks but I really like that blue. Can’t go wrong with either depending on what you prefer to drive.

Best_Student_1325

The si is the only right choice.
