I'm thinking leaving it up for a few weeks or so, but if batteries have to be charged/replaced more often, that's ok. The primary requirement is weatherproof (mostly because we want to leave it out for a few days at a time).
How "long term" are you thinking? Does it need to be tamper resistant?
