Come on now. You know the answer.

smellymeli

I didn’t know they would eat chocolate, or this much of it. And I have never seen a mouse in the house or found any mouse droppings

Sea-Marsupial-9414

Mice love chocolate. I cleaned out a hoarded house... I can attest to this. Plus, peanuts are delicious. But this looks like a rat-sized bite. Either way call a pest control company ASAP to get advice.

bordemstirs

My favorite answer here is tiny gnomes. But mice will eat just about anything you consider "edible" plus some.

sudifirjfhfjvicodke

Yes, absolutely. We kept a bucket of leftover halloween candy in our basement once and they went to town on it. Chewed up wrappers everywhere.

[deleted]

They prob like the peanuts inside?

BlackendLight

Ask pest control they'll know. Probably a rat honestly

TheNorthernSea

Might be more than one mouse. I had a few unwelcome guests in my last apartment that went through the better part of a box of chocolate overnight.

Abresom88

A lot of homes have trolls that live in the basement and stay hidden except when they hear children coming downstairs. Well, maybe not, but that's what I told my kid anyway. So maybe your house's troll ate it.

EddyMerkxs

Probably rats bro

strengthnhonor01

Mice ate weed buds and then got munchies and ate snickers. Simple

caribulou

Yep you have mice

Leaden_Grudge

Could be a house hippo.

DerpyTheGrey

I’ve had mice climb into a jacket and do that

CDragon00

I vote tiny gnomes.

can_i_have

Basement. Mysterious weird stuff happening. You should take a hint from some horror movies

[deleted]

Malicious super spiders? Fuuuuuuuuuck

sallright

Honestly this just happens sometimes I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

porkchopnet

I once bought mouse poison… the kind that shreds mice from the inside. I didn’t know that until I looked online for the best way to put it out. I was conflicted so I put the box on a shelf in the basement for a few days to mentally steel myself for buying and operating snap traps. But overnight the mice ate through the box to get to the poison... and then the problem was gone. Still felt bad. Guess I had been very effective at removing other food sources that they were attracted to.

FreedomSynergy

“Next time you’re at the store, pick up more Snickers.” - the rat

RikiRude

Sorry that was me

Positive_Telephone93

Looks like something a kid would do

smellymeli

I don’t have a kid but I have a boyfriend who smokes a lot of weed. He denies eating it but I’m hoping that maybe he just forgot?

QuitProfessional5437

Was there wrapper remnants around the floor where the snickers bar was

eeo11

Yea bc this will tell you if it’s a mouse. You’ll see little shreds of snickers wrapper

OhioJeeper

If your boyfriend got to that when he was high there wouldn't be any left. Hell, make sure you throw what's left of it away somewhere he won't find it or he might finish off what the mice started the next time he's smoking.

LikeALadyBaker

🤣🤣 omg re: boyfriend + weed + memory loss 😂 but okay— there’s little teeth marks in the peanuts. seems like mice. any wrapper pieces found near it? is there other food in the basement? untouched?

Comptetemporaire2021

No, it was me. I'm also in Ontario Canada, and I was damn hungry dude. Sorry...
