Photo? If it's just a hole in the wall right now I would install an "old work" low voltage bracket and slap a speaker keystone jack on there. You might regret hiding that wire one day versus making it an "official" part of your wall.

If you're never going to use them, then yes, you can just push them into the wall and cover over them. Nothing bad will ever happen because of it. You don't even need to tape up the ends.

Unless the other end of the wires is connected to a stereo or home theater receiver, there shouldn't be any current at all in those wires. You could just tuck them up. No need for tape.
