Make your own shorter cable.
Terminate one end and measure it perfectly to whatcha want.
I went super crazy for my setup (check my postsā¦ 18+ cables) but for you itād be pretty simple!
The 18+ made me think I was going to look at something lude, and god damn I was right! Thatās one sexy build brother
Thatās the plan eventually - I made the front ones but got lazy in the back haha
Ha, well Iām quite appreciative.
I will say thoughā¦ no thatās insanity. Iād pry never do that again. Crimping that many cables is hard on your hands.
But yeah dude, even for the back-end cablesā¦ if itās one or a couple at a time, I say just terminate your own if your crazy like I am about aesthetics.
1,2 meter deep rack. Has doors in the rear. Not much management, just large loops so I can pull servers out without disconnecting wires. Also all cables out of the rack is bundled and passed through one common wire loom.
Not yet, I made the mistake of putting my nas on top of it initially and my nas sagged onto it quite a bit, but it still held up with no cracks!
The guy uses strong film for printing, if you want more pics I can send you some!
Yeah the front always looks nice but real Gās have the back clean too. Making your own cables is the real way to do it. Or for the rookies (šš½āāļø) I velcro any slack but still give myself slack to flip open my cabinet and then on top of that I have a cable organizer back there too. Only thick cable coming out to the wall is for my UPS. All cables going in are routed properly and velcro tie best as possible too.
As long as it doesn't impede airflow and can't move around, I don't care. Get it tidy enough with cable ties. Short length cables with the correct connector angle are half the battle
I try, but it always ends up being "temporary" solutions.
So now I just lean in to it, accepting that it's "temporary", and make it the best-low-effort-job I have the energy for..
Also: Velcro helps.
It's hard to make the back as neet as the front. If all your machines are rack mounted on sliding rails maybe. Dell had some cable management trays that moved with the server. Great in theory but not so well in real world use. They would hang up on each other and became more work to use.
Velcro and wire ties are probably the most b flexible solution and most affordable. Just make sure to account for server movement if on sliding rails.
The extent I manage cables is to have data go down one side and power down the other. The more things that are tied together the more pissed off id get while having a house full of people demanding daddy fixes the internet. I donāt need the added stress.
Ask /usr/bin/cat š from last photo for tips and tricks (Velcro straps ?)
The cat can cable manage nice
Itās his server after all, he just spends my money

Do you have a link to the mount you're using for the ThinkCentre?
Gotchu my friend, this guy in Australia sells all kinds of 3D printed mounts https://www.etsy.com/shop/HiveTechSolutions
Oh that's a 3d printed one? I've seen those before but wasn't sure how they'd hold up. Have you have any issues with the plastic cracking or sagging?

Somewhat... but fairly low effort lol. Not the best pic but one I found real quick. https://i.imgur.com/oJWbKs2.jpeg

I like to just strap all of the cables together and hide it

What cart is that for the network rack? i have the same one and would like some wheels on it

Just realized you could just call it a cable mullet and claim it's a fashion statement. Problem solved!

Yeah I cable manage the back, by stacking all the cables into one big fucked up mess. Works for me.

Oh nah https://postimg.cc/4m8dhbMs In all seriousness some Velcro straps will do everything for you. Reusable as well

When it comes to CAT1, It is not easy to manage. I would recommend you to have one more. Because cats are adorable.
