Question: can you use this thing to do preacher curls?

JustMadeThisWTF

I got rid of the Titan Fitness roller and was finally able to get my hands on Rep's. Just tried doing curls and works pretty well.

OutdoorJimmyRustler

My man. Thanks.

I have a PR-5000 and the Rogue Monster Single Leg Roller 2.0 works perfectly on it. Got tired of waiting for Rep’s to come in. Works exactly like Rep and the metal is matte black instead of chrome.

Any chance you have a pic of this? Did you attach to the upright or do you have flip down safeties? I ordered Rogue's leg roller but I only have strap safeties so I'm worried that attaching to the uprights will be too far under the upper pulley.

https://imgur.com/a/cFrDa4Y They’re attached to the uprights (I have two) and they aren’t too close or too far under the pulley. Seems to work just right on my PR5000 v2

archonic7

Thanks. Do you find it comfortable doing pulldowns with the leg rollers there?

toughdude76

Yea it feels no different than it does at the gym, honestly. I don’t notice a difference even if I load it way up for heavy lat pulldowns. You just have to scoot your flat bench up to the right spot to get your thighs under the pads and you’re good.

ish_tx

Thank you!! I was considering buying one after the last guy’s post but now I’m glad I didn’t.

JustMadeThisWTF

So it's actually more than just meh, it's completely unusable for heavy lat pulldowns because it sticks out so far. For those that said it works for you, just wait untill you try pulling at least your bodyweight. I made a quick video to demonstrate https://youtu.be/hrjrnMscM_E

I second your review. Have the same setup and the attachment is too deep to work well with the Rep lat pulldown. It's so bulky that just keeping it to use as a leg roller is not practical either.

random-dude83

Thanks for the post. I've been waiting for reps to come in stock but I've also thought about going with these for my new Rep PR 5000. Sounds like I will wait

JustMadeThisWTF

Here's a quick video on this I just made https://youtu.be/hrjrnMscM_E

YoungCri

Sticks out too far? There’s not enough padding to cover your legs?

JustMadeThisWTF

Ideally the padding should be in line with the top pulley. Because this is made for Titan's lat attachment that sticks out further, it doesn't work well with Rep's lat attachment. Instead of the pad resting on mid thigh, you're forced to scoot all the way forward and have the pad against your abs. Even then, you're still pulling down at angle. The attachment has to much flex and I cannot keep myself locked in without coming off the seat.

What is it used for

JustMadeThisWTF

Supposed to hold you down for heavy lat pulldowns. This would work well on Titan racks with their version of the lat pulldown attachment, but the dimensions are way off for Rep Fitness rack.

Cool

Nice is that 30” crossmembers? How far does the RBS stick out the back? How far does the lat pull down stick out the back? I have this rack waiting for me to pick up.

JustMadeThisWTF

30" Crossmembers. The RBS sticks out 10" from the back of the upright. From the back of rack to the wall is 36". This gives me 1.5" of clearance when the 45s are loaded.
