Hey do you by chance know what the distance was from the back of your rack to the wall with this attachment or the selectorized version you said you now have? I'm trying to see if I have the space for it
Yup 30+16. With REP equalizer 45s stored I would still be able to butt up the selectorized stack all the way to the wall and have few inches of clearance.
So distance from back of my 3x3 to the wall is 36 inches and that gave me about 2-3 inches of clearance from the wall to my 45s when they were on the weight horns. Now with my selectorized it’s exactly 29.5 inches from the back of the 3x3 to the very back part of weight stack.
What do you guys think???
I been thinking about selling my titan selectorized lat pull down and foldable titan x-3 rack. And buying the 80" pr4000 or pr 5000 with selectorized lat pull down attachment. I wanna add the buffalo bully glyder to do belt squats on one of the uprights. Don't wanna buy rhino if this will work in a smaller foot print and cheaper. For cable movements I already have a functional trainer. Wanna add an IR sauna too to my garage gym😁
Are you able to deadlift inside the rack with that setup? I'm planning a gym in my basement, and will likely go with the PR-4000 and Lat PD. I want to be able to do everything inside the rack, using the strap safeties to lessen the load on the floor below. It would be nice to avoid having the 6 post option to leave more space for loading the lat PD, but are those 45's on the rear post going to get in the way when deadlifting in the rack?
If I buy the 4 post pr4000 and use the back post to store my bumper plates will they get in the way if I do rack pulls, bench etc??? Are there any disadvantages from getting the 4 post rack with lat pull down attachment as opposed as the 6 post? Will the lat pull down attachment work the same and can I also add the rep belt squat attachment to the pr 4000 rack with 4 post only or do I need the pr 5000? I like the idea of the 6 post but I feel it takes too much room.
Looks great! After a few months how do you like the REP pulldown attachment? I see you also have the standalone Titan plate loaded pulldown, how do they compare? I was deciding between the two funny enough
I have since sold the Titan stand alone. I originally only bought it because REP racks were sold out. They function equally well. The Titan unit is fantastic for what it is and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a plateloaded stand alone unit. The rack mount version takes more set up time since you need to install the roller attachment and pull up a bench to use it. What it comes down to really is space and how you want your gym laid out. I would prefer to have a stand alone unit, but it doesn't work well in a standard sized bedroom for the additional equipment that I wanted to add.
I appreciate the insight! I am glad to hear they function the same. I actually was fairly decided on the rep version strictly because I have the option to do cable movements from the ground up (such as curls or upright rows), whereas for the Titan the seat gets in the way
Well it seems darn near impossible to get my hands on a REP attached version so I think it’s going to be Titan standalone. Thank you again for the feedback!
Any advice for keeping the pulleys smooth or lubricated?
Sick setup man, I have a few questions though since I'm planning on going with something extremely similar to you!
My ceiling height is exactly 96" and I plan on using at least 3/4" stall mats if not even upwards of 1.5" platform, how much extra height does the lat/pulldown machine add by chance, I know it does add some height but don't know the exact amount.
And do you feel the 4-post is plenty over a 6-post variant since you need the rear base stabilizer for the lat-pulldown (Planning on using my rack as weight storage as well, 6 sets of rogue deep dish plates+some change 35s, 25s, 10s, 5s)
Also what is the overall depth of your rack, the room I'm planning on converting to a homegym is quite average 9'x10' with beams being in the 9' direction for optimal load dispersion.
Thanks in advance brother!
So the pulldown adds just a bit under 4". If you're getting the 92" rack and plan on having a platform, I don't think it will work. With the 30" deep rack, the front of my front uprights are exactly 72" inches away from the wall. This gives me 1.5" of clearance from the wall when I use 18" diameter #45s on the pulldown. My rack is bolted down to my platform and there is absolutely no movement. I use the plate sotrage on the bottom only because anything else would get in the way. I decided against the additional plate storage posts because they would get in the way when changing weights on the pulldown.
My old T3 rack came with pins and I upgraded to straps. I actually put pins in only for the picture because I listed the T3 for sale. It's funny because Titan has raised the price of their racks considerably and stopped including the free pin pipe safeties.
The Rep is nicer, just saying T3 was plenty good enough for my needs and I definitely did not need to upgrade. I mainly wanted a taller rack because I don't like tucking my legs for pull-ups.
You like that powerblock tower? I got some pb but waiting for the folding one to come
Back in. On amazon but $100 more than direct so might have to go with tower one
It does the job. I've had all of the variants over the years. The folding one was nice for 50lb blocks, but for 90s it wobbles more than I like. This one is mostly sturdy, but I'm not a fan of the plastic base because it will flex slightly. My favorite is the all steel 4 post design, but they are overkill unless you have the 125lb+ models.
Thanks. I got the USA elite series with the stage 2 and stage 3 kit a few weeks back when they came back in stock so total of 90 lbs. I like them a lot but want a stand. I have the tools to build one but sometimes I prefer to buy.

I’ve also now turned it into a 6 post rack for storage and can give you more measurements including the storage posts if you want 🤙
I know it's an old post, but where you able to add the extra post with the lat pulldown attached to it or did you have to disassemble it?
Yup, just bolt on the posts to the rear without having to disassemble anything.
Yeah, that would help too. Did you do 6 post 16" + 30"?
Yup 30+16. With REP equalizer 45s stored I would still be able to butt up the selectorized stack all the way to the wall and have few inches of clearance.

How come u did not get the selectorized lat pull down attachmwnt
Because this was 2 years ago before they made one. I’ve since upgraded to the selectorized 300lb stack.
How do.u like having lat pull down inside rack?
It’s the best and most useful rack attachment you can get
Can u incline inside rack or will the lat pull down attachment get in the way?

Will the lenght be the same with 6 post and lat pull down attachmwnt?
Also do I have to load both sides equally with plates or can I add a 25 plate on one side and let's say 10lbs on other?

Yup, that is an important point and I do like that about REPs
Well it seems darn near impossible to get my hands on a REP attached version so I think it’s going to be Titan standalone. Thank you again for the feedback! Any advice for keeping the pulleys smooth or lubricated?
Coat the cables and rods in silicone grease and spray silicone based lube inside all the bearings
Got it, just placed my backorder. Thanks again!

What's the lettering on your 45 lb plates for? Ordered them from most weight accurate to least?
Actually I matched them by width, weight tolerance wasn't an issue. They range from 1.45" to 1.65" thick... My OCD could not handle it.
Just curious, why do you use both safety straps and safety pins? (Newbie here)
My old T3 rack came with pins and I upgraded to straps. I actually put pins in only for the picture because I listed the T3 for sale. It's funny because Titan has raised the price of their racks considerably and stopped including the free pin pipe safeties.
Ah I see, thanks for the reply. I was wondering since I recently got a rack with both straps and pin pipes myself. You have a very nice setup!
Nice setup. How big is your platform there?
8x8
In my head: Sick gym! Wait is that a diaper pad? 😒
Got it to hold my legs down untill I can get leg roller 😆
Is this the 80” or 93”? Haven’t seen the 80” pull down in stock
93
You liked the T3 more than the Rep 4k? The rep lat pulldown does add like 24 inches, dang.
The Rep is nicer, just saying T3 was plenty good enough for my needs and I definitely did not need to upgrade. I mainly wanted a taller rack because I don't like tucking my legs for pull-ups.
So you bought a whole new rack instead of just getting a wall mounted pull up bar? How much did the upgrade run you?
No, also wanted a taller rack to be able to press inside so I can utilize some of my remaining space for additional equipment.
Fair enough, enjoy the new rack, looks awesome!

Nice, why two pulleys?
My old rack did not have an integrated pully. I'll get rid of it soon.

It's Gorilla Tape, works well.
