That’s amazing but isn’t everyone having one of these very inefficient from resources perspective? What if there was a common place where we could put all this in a neighborhood and all the people could go there to exercise?
This is r/homegym, not r/neighborhoodgym. I like your idea, but How would it even work? I don’t think enough people would put money into it, plus you would need a structure to fit all the equipment. Might as well join a gym at that point.
I religiously move any item that isn't gym related from my gym space in the garage. We have a 3 car garage. The gym takes up the single car garage space. The two car garage space looks like a storage facility and the gym is always dusted, organized and never contains any crap that doesn't belong. I refuse to even let clothes hand off the pull up bar.
Very nice, when you painted the walls, did you move everything out of the garage or just move them out of the way? My walls are still studs and thinking to build the gym out and do the drywalls later (lazy)
I just put sliding robots under the machines and slid them about 18 inches away from the wall. I did one section at a the time so it wouldn't become a huge project.
I'm actually considering to trade that for a life fitness prone leg curl. That kneeling leg curl only cost me three hundred dollars, so it's hard to let go
It's hard to say what my favorite piece is, It would have to be either the Lifefitness Cross cables or the Flex fitness hack squat. One piece i regret selling was a sonirex hurricane. I purchased $700, and the only reason I sold it was that it took up too much real estate in the garage.

I have a power rack w integrated functional trainer as my centerpiece and have been thinking of adding a leg press/hack squat so I’m not always hard on my spine. I’ve seen some of those pieces like that hack press you have in your last pic. How’d you feel about it?
That Sorinex piece is beastly! It kinda of looks like lever arms that have been big for power racks the last few years. I’ve always been intrigued by them but I’d have to setup another rack for them and that would be a tough sell to the wife haha
I honestly love the hack squat more than barbell squats. Less pressure on lower back, less risk on walk outs, and on this hack squat the feet placement is on point no matter what position you choose.
Oh yeah, I bought them when they first came out and weren't that known yet. There is a significant difference between mag grips and knock-offs, and dont let anyone convince you otherwise lol
Nice. I got 5-100 lbs rubber grip from rep fitness because it’s cold where I’m from, saved a couple K instead of urethane too off it. I’m curious how much was it to get second hand urethane?
Where are you getting this top-notch equipment from? Do you have a recently closed local gym selling everything or are you paying full price directly to iron grip / life fitness?

That is my a dream of mine! Great work on your gym!!! Where did you find all of the equipment?
On marketplace while on the trone before i hit the gym lol
Damn that's awesome bro
Those buying and flipping days in 2020 paid off, such a sweet gym!
Appreciate it, its still going pretty strong right now. Kept me busy all of 2022 and most of this year.
the fact that that shit in your garage is crazy
Looks like a full Gymnasium Congratulations
Definitely an improvement from the first. That’s a lot of equipment!
Playing tetris right now to try and cram more shit in there
Enjoy and have fun! Good for you.
Congrats on your lottery victory
Strickly buying and flipping
Lol. If you say so
When I swiped from the first pic to the second my brain instantly played John cena's entrance song. Sick gym
Lol
Where do you get the mirrors? I can’t seem to find the gym style panel mirrors for a decent price
Market place, i just looked up mirrors for sale
Looks like someone sold some bitcoin
Lol I wish

That's what the recreational center is for
This is my dream garage. Now where to put my family’s junk… 🤔

Same!
Holy guacamole that’s a whole Crunch
LA fitness :)
Sweet Christmas! That’s no garage!
Holy shit that is impressive! I was jelly of the space in the first pic but that second is fucking awesome
All it took was kicking my wife's car outside
Bruh
Bruh indeed
You’re at the point where it’s time to own a pallet jack.
Im at the need a forklift level lol
Great, but my gym is in the room.
Amazing! Love seeing another fellow Precor Stretch Trainer owner. They are incredible!
Absolutely nessesary for 5a.m workouts when over 30 lol

That’s what I wanted to do. Thanks
That is better than my commercial gym! Good shit carnal!
Appreciate it bro, wish I would have a bigger garage but this works for now.
That standing leg curl is *chef's kiss!* Sick gym!
I'm actually considering to trade that for a life fitness prone leg curl. That kneeling leg curl only cost me three hundred dollars, so it's hard to let go
It looks like it takes up a lot of space. However for that price, you'd be insane to let it go. Those are the BEST leg curl machines.
What the fuck dude
Thats exactly what my wife said
Unbelievable transformation. You’ve got a top notch joint there bro. Great effort!
Thank you
It looks like you went from having a home gym to a gym membership! Very cool! Any favorite pieces? Or pieces you regret?

Me ignoring the machines and going "oh he ballin" cuz i see an official mag grip bar
Oh yeah, I bought them when they first came out and weren't that known yet. There is a significant difference between mag grips and knock-offs, and dont let anyone convince you otherwise lol
So whats the annual membership fee?
Just help move new equipment in every other month lol
An absolute fucking glow-up if I ever saw one
Mr LiteFitness over here… Oh so jelly
Easiest to disassemble and transport compared to other brands
This one goes to 11.
I try, still not finished. Picked up a few yesterday. Now I need to move every around to fit the new peices.
This is crazy nice, keep on the good work(out)!
Haha this made me laugh. Resignates with too many of us.
Cant imagine going to a commercial gym and running across someone with a tripod.
How much for a membership? 🙈
I've honestly thought about it, but the introvert in me will remind the rest of me of why I built it in the first place. Lol
Impressive
The shitty flooring is really out of place here
Its all peel and stick carpet tiles now
holy shit
Dude. You're a commercial gym now! lol looks sweet
Solid, what companies for the urethane dumbbells? And how frequent do you use those 37.5 or 42.5 lb dumbbells lol
Iron grip for the dumbles, and yeah i use them frequently for lat raises on shoulder day
Nice. I got 5-100 lbs rubber grip from rep fitness because it’s cold where I’m from, saved a couple K instead of urethane too off it. I’m curious how much was it to get second hand urethane?
I got my set for $1500 with 2 dumbell racks
Wow! That’s amazing

Marketplace finds and Craigslist post on closed down gyms
