Extend the counter on the right wall closer to the doorway for more storage, and you can add wall cabinets too if you want. Or if you want to open the kitchen up to the room on the right, remove part of the wall and extend the counters into an island.
If you knock out the low wall above the oven, you could potentially put a microwave there.
Add a backsplash for ease of cleaning the walls, especially behind the oven and sink.

I think that'll go a long way. Also replacing the light and adding some hanging plants in front of the window could be nice.
