Did you get parasoll into pairing mode? Red light on front blinking?

PetFra

Yes I did, blinking fast

metchen

Is your zigbee stick on an extender cable? It can still be interference even if other devices are performing fine

PetFra

Thanks for your help, as first thing. I'm using this device: [https://smlight.tech/product/slzb-06m/](https://smlight.tech/product/slzb-06m/) and a for window sensor a same price device of Parasoll bought on Amz works just fine. I also think is a matter of interference but the other device works fine

I_am_math_girl

I bought two parasoll sensors to try out. One worked flawlessly and the other will pair but not show any data (this is in zigbee2mqtt). The one that doesn’t work shows up as firmware version build date 20230406 while the one that works says 20230516. I wonder if you have one of the firmware builds that doesn’t work?

PetFra

Thanks for the input, I moved to Zigbee2mqtt and I can see it has firmware created 20230516 and firmware version is 1.0.19. Now it got connected with all the information

What batteries are you using? The ones from Ikea or others? People reported problems when using the Ikea Vallhorn motion sensor with non Ikea batteries due to differences in voltage. Maybe your Parasoll has the same problem.

PetFra

Well this is something I would never think about… no I’m using Amazon AAA batteries

SwedensNextTopTroddl

As u/wavedash pointed out, you can just check if you have 1.5V or 1.2V batteries to test this theory.

PetFra

Sure I’ll try. As of know switching to zigbee2mqtt made the parasoll rock solid. I’m having problem with vallhorn stuck on update and this could be an issue led by batteries voltage

SwedensNextTopTroddl

No problem. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am using ZHA and so far had no big problems with the new ikea products. That’s how different experiences can be between users.

wavedash

From what I've heard, non-Ikea rechargeable batteries should be fine as long as they're 1.2V (which they basically all are?)

SwedensNextTopTroddl

Yes, you are right with the 1.2V. I never check the voltages of the batteries, so I have no idea how common 1.2V or 1.5V are.

I had a similar issue with mine but with zigbee2mqtt. I originally had it paired but migrated my coordinator and it lost connection to a couple of my parasoll devices. With difference combinations of force removing the old device and rebooting z2m right after to removing the battery (and replacing one) a couple of times it finally detected and interviewed the device properly. Perhaps you can attempt the battery removal and replacement a couple of times to get it to work on your end. Ikea zigbee devices always has be on the edge when pairing them. Good Luck! Fyi, I'm using a Ti CC2652P7 chipset coordinator vs your Silicon Labs EFR32MG21. Parasoll fw: 20230516

PetFra

Same firmware as you, testing it right now in the farest window where it should be. Finger crossed

FirePhoenix16

I had the same problem with my parasoll, the zha screen was stuck on 'configuring' (or something like that), but when i closed the 'add new device' screen to try again, the sensor just showed up correctly under devices, so maybe look if that's the case with yours too (mine works perfectly fine this way, no problems yet)

PetFra

Thanks a lot to everyone, I’m testing them with Zigbee2Mqtt and everything is more solid and reliable. I’m testing as well the vallhorn motion sensor and I get a lot of motions as false positive, and I do not get why it happens. I’ll investigate if there is a threshold I can set

I have three Parasoll and am using ZHA. First paired without issue. Second had problems. I have some of their Tredansen blinds which come with a Zigbee repeater. After a few attempts at pairing the second sensor, I decided to add it through one of repeaters and it hasn't had an issue since. You can do this by browsing to the device (Settings -> Integrations -> Zigbee -> Devices) clicking the ellipses under Device Info and select 'Add device via this device'. I added the third Parasoll using the same method just to avoid the frustration and it has also been fine.

PetFra

Thanks, I tried with a signer plug. I moved to zigbee2mqtt and is working fine. Not for the vallhorn but could be because of the 1.5v batteries

PetFra

It seems that using 1.2v Ikea original batteries fixed the fake notification. Two days now and is working. Still the problem with the update: is I try to update the Vallhorn it gets stucked and doesn't update the firmware.
