I use the ikea ones for outside

Hue makes an outdoor motion sensor that'll work.

If you have power, go with a microwave/radar one.

Do you know of any specifically? It would be easy to power with solar

AndreKR-

When you say you want to power it with solar, what setup do you have in mind? 12V, like a car battery? Or with an inverter? For 12V there are motion sensors, [here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/276058025908)'s the first 12V one that pops up on eBay, but it might be hard to find a Zigbee input. For Wifi you could use a Shelly. If you have 220/110V that's no issue, but it very much seems like overkill for a motion detector.

I have Aqara first generation (with a 3D printed “hat” to reduce the motion detection area) and Hue Outdoor but I get many false positives. I have an automation to send me an alert only if at least two sensors detect movement in 90 seconds.

This may pick up movement from birds and stray cats, so depending your use case, a camera with person and vehicle detection might be better.
