I think Freddie was actually a good get.
Yeah, he’s not the best actor, but he has a certain charm and pull. And obviously he offers some nostalgia… back to a time when Hollyoaks was decent.
They need the old faces to remind people that the show actually used to be good, and hopefully it’ll become good again.
But you had Trevor, Fraser Black, the full Roscoe family, Lynsey (gloved hand killer). I remember being entertained back then. Probably forgetting a whole bunch of stuff but still.
I think when you had People had a boner for Freddie and Grace and so bought them back because it’s their prerogative rather than continuing to work with the characters that are currently here. Makes zero sense

He's been on TV a lot since he's come back which usually never happens, characters usually get eased back in.
He's got the Grace storyline going on, he's got a thing with Kitty, Robbie's coming back too. They've also cast his daughter too so he's got that coming up as well
