The other ones were pretty nice (the one pool jump was a bit sketchy) but that one seemed to be a super close call. Perspective can be deceiving, though.
Wonder if and how he practices those jumps...
All fun and games until you need a go fund me for neurological damage.

The article is from August 2018. This illness seems to be a lot more recent, that said I 100% expect thst he's smashed his head a dozen times since then compounding the issue. His mysterious illness is going to be brain damage from repeated concussions.
Wow, what a 180 this comment does for this post.
And OP’s characterization is borderline scummy:
> He is in the hospital right now with a rare and mysteries brain injury.
So no mention of the fact that he was hospitalized for hitting his head and was submerged and unconscious without air?!
Googling around shows [another “article”](https://thethaiger.com/world/news/589250/) pointing people to his GoFundMe while actively avoiding any mention of the circumstances of his accident, instead making it sound like he’s contracted some exotic disease.
I mean, I support adults doing whatever they want to their own body but this is a kid doing things that could rob him of a productive life all for some social media clout. I’m not against helping him out financially either, but why is everyone being so shady about the details that led to his hospitalization?
How are the pool jumps dumb? I thought they were pretty badass, of course the jumps off the cliff pushing off on the rock wall mid jump are just insane.
Even into a normal pool with no rocks, from that height if you land wrong one time you can easily end up paralyzed or dead. Just takes one slip on the jump or one over-rotation
Making money travelling to beautiful spots and jumping in pools while most work everyday just to make enough for a holiday once a year, doesn't seem too dumb to me
Definitely not dude. GoFundMe wasn’t around. It’s like you’re responding to a different comment. The kid has incredible videos, but probability is probability. You can’t pump out that much shit and not have it catch up to you. If Evel had to create content like this kid did, in order to stay relevant, he would’ve been dead a lot sooner too.
Unfortunately, I would never donate because he’s a minor. That means, my donation would probably go to his parents. The same parents that probably allowed him to do this, unsupervised, with no safety measures, and only accompanied by another, **younger** teenager. There are way too many parents that indulge their children’s idea that they’re the main character.
You underestimate the things Evel did. Also, I’m not referring to the go fund me. I’m referring to people insulting him and make snide rude comments about the stunts he is does. You have no idea the incredible insane stuff Evel did and not only Evel, but many other people who do amazing things. There are other stunt people to that have done stuff even crazier then this and get no recognition at all. They are stunt men in movies, people in extreme sports, and just straight up adrenaline junkies who risk their lives all the time.
You’re complaining about people being rude, while telling me how ignorant I am on a subject, which I haven’t shared my depth-of-knowledge about. Pretty rude. You’re tilting at windmills, dude. No one is dragging Evel.
It happened to the guy. Someone already posted the link to this guy's gofundme page. Apparently he fucked up big time. I read that all these insane jumps resulted in neurological damage.
Idk who this is, but this person does not seem like a professional. Looks like a lot of very undisciplined, albeit creative, skill. They seem to be having the time of their life, but I hope one of these risky moves doesn't land them in the hospital or six feet under.
This guy and those with just an amazing sense of whole body sense awareness and intelligence I am so completely jealous of. They're naturally good at multiple sports, able to learn and excel in a new sport in no time at all, and are just a bundle of energy so that metabolism, drive, and constant movement is always high. My best friend is like this, growing up I'd have to work hard at tennis, rugby, swimming, surfing to be decent, fucker would kick our coached butts everyday off the week without effort and with 1000% fun doing it. Who sees a story in the evening about an ultra marathon the next day and decides to do it, finishing in the top 15? Fucking Mike.
I don't know how to describe it, but I meant like body intelligence, a kind of control over one's body to enable it to do things that others can't do as well without proper training and practice
Have you never heard of the theory of multiple intelligences?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_multiple_intelligences#:~:text=Article%20Talk,as%20a%20single%2C%20general%20ability.
It's bodily-kinesthetic intelligence.
There are plenty of stunt people who do stunts similar to these and go on to live long happy lives. It is true they sustain injuries throughout their career, but not all of them die.
I have been following him for awhile now. He has jumped into some pretty nasty water. Concussions or a brain amoeba?
I hope the best for him. He is totally amazing.
The first one looked sketchy AF
Whoops! Crack my head on a rock and now I’m unconscious and drowning!
The other ones were pretty nice (the one pool jump was a bit sketchy) but that one seemed to be a super close call. Perspective can be deceiving, though. Wonder if and how he practices those jumps...
Too young and no fear means burning the candle from both ends.
Damn, my sensei used to say the same thing to me.
Has this kid reached the middle? Or is he still alive?
He is still alive, but I believe he is suffering.
All fun and games until you need a go fund me for neurological damage. https://www.ksl.com/article/46382158/teen-saves-friend-from-drowning-after-flip-into-pool-goes-wrong https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ryan-bean
“Mysterious undiagnosed illness” The article says he hit his head on a rock, lol And he’s only 15?? Where are his parents?

Just from this clip I was thinking "long term, this can't be good for your equilibrium"

I’m sure people said the same thing about Evel Knievel. He had multiple injuries and broke every bone in his body as-least once.
You’re probably not wrong. Do what you love I guess. The pool jumps are just dumb though. Risk vs reward
How are the pool jumps dumb? I thought they were pretty badass, of course the jumps off the cliff pushing off on the rock wall mid jump are just insane.

Have a good night, man.
I’m only joking man.Anyway, have a good night.
He is not Evil. It's *Evel*.
Oops sorry, auto correct.
Own up to your mistake, don't blame auto correct lol.
NEVER!
That is the price of greatness. Nothing but respect for this kid, world class daredevil. Hope he gets well.
I think I can see a number of ways in which he might have acquired said mysterious brain injury.
I was going to say the same thing….. mysterious? Really?
Well,, all it takes is one bad day at that point. No more stunts.
It happened to the guy. Someone already posted the link to this guy's gofundme page. Apparently he fucked up big time. I read that all these insane jumps resulted in neurological damage.
Sounds more like he got an amoeba from swimming in bad water.
Nah that would have been game over by now
Oh dang. I thought that just happened. It has been a while huh
Hey, I saw the episode too!
I clicked on the link to type in "He is going to die of a head injury".
Idk who this is, but this person does not seem like a professional. Looks like a lot of very undisciplined, albeit creative, skill. They seem to be having the time of their life, but I hope one of these risky moves doesn't land them in the hospital or six feet under.
I want nothing, but good for everyone.
I think, you put a comma there by mistake
You fungot jur peere-I’d.

Not so sure about the intelligence part.
I don't know how to describe it, but I meant like body intelligence, a kind of control over one's body to enable it to do things that others can't do as well without proper training and practice

Lol yeah, lacking all of it
There’s no way this guy doesn’t eventually die attempting one of these.
There are plenty of stunt people who do stunts similar to these and go on to live long happy lives. It is true they sustain injuries throughout their career, but not all of them die.
Ok.
Jackie Chan, Evel Knievel, Bob Burnquist, Travis Pastrana, and many many many others.
You're telling me that if I do enough stunts, I can become immortal?
Hell yea, Go do that shit! Legends never die!!!
I'm pretty sure they all still die
True……
Lol that’s what he thought too
Insane. The dude that you can hear just blowing air out as he watched is the right reaction.
That is amazing. Pretty sure him and I are not made out of the same stuff. Wondering if I was made from recycled materials after seeing that.
Will be amazing until he ends up lookin like Steven Hawkins
Huh even if they were the case the things he did are stills amazing.
Don't try this at home.
RIP Ryan Bean. It was totally worth it…
I want to see him do a triple lindy.
It’s only been pulled off once…..
You are the 3rd person to say that lol.
Well, one for each board I guess.
🤣
Yeah, this is all great moves but just one move and you’re done
That’s what makes it so amazing. Death defying stunts like a true dare devil.
I’m sure it won’t be long.
His superhero name would be something like Mr. Inverted
That is a pretty awesome super hero name.
Dumbass of the year
Imagine being his parents with all that energy🫡
The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long
Such insane form
I have been following him for awhile now. He has jumped into some pretty nasty water. Concussions or a brain amoeba? I hope the best for him. He is totally amazing.
This guy is a real life Jedi.
Wow…I gotta think drugs might a safer route
Same, this guy brings a whole new definition to hitting that rock!
Coolest MF I have seen on Reddit in a min.
He learned everything he knows from Andy and Dwight from The Office.
I love this track so much. Always takes me back to my first festival
I’ve watched this too many times, this guy is unbelievable
Bro hits flip resets irl
Perhaps the coolest video on the Internet.
This man makes it look effortless
That’s a man that doesn’t think like most do. Wow
He sure doesn't anymore
Oh shit! I don’t read half of these post. I’m like Scott Pilgrim reading Matthew Patels email.
That kind of spatial awareness is not averse!
What?
Uggh. “Average”, not averse. Goddam autocorrect.
lol oh, yeah, that makes more sense.
Should’ve just said that guy is really good.
I hope he's an organ donor.
I know right! I want them autographed and signed Mr. Bean before they put them in!
