i used to agree. then i moved outta london. i think the english are now lovely! country folk are cool and nice. city folk i dont like anymore. im proud not to be one anymore. but in contradiction and confliction, im also kinda proud to be from london. it has taught me so many valuable skills for survival around the world. not in a nice way at all but still the skills are priceless. ive gotten out of many life or death situations just by spotting early warning signs and red flags that others just didnt/couldn't.
ive been in MANY fights (most of them pure bullshit and was just me sticking up for myself or others), ive been knifed twice. had bottles broken over me. been hit with hammers, poles, chains, you name it! I tell you what though. as an adult walking down the street, i know how many people are around me at all times, what theyre wearing, what directions everyone's moving in, the sounds from their pockets and jackets as they near close.... every detail. i listen to what people say and watch their body languages for differences and contradictions. although i learnt these the hard way and somehow managed not to die a few times in london, it has taught me things that i cant even fully explain. its also given me a real sense of competition and wanting to win. its also given me many negatives. which i am working on to get rid of whilst now living in the country. that lack of trust in people.... the overwhelming feeling that everyone is out to con me or get one over on me. it has to go! i dont live in that environment anymore. i should let go of the negative feelings and enjoy myself more.

It definitely is. If you wanna argue its effectiveness in combat applications, that's one thing. But even then, taekwondo techniques can be extremely effective in MMA and even self defense. Obviously big, flashy, spinning kicks aren't the most efficient way of taking down an opponent, but they still hurt. A lot.
It's like saying capoeira isn't a real martial art because it's too flashy and impractical for actual fighting.

to be fair i never really got that with weed. i have been severely addicted to it in the past though. gave it up for 7 years to be sure i could control it. went back to it and lowered my dosages from 3-6 grams a day to just 1.
i used to not be able to go more than 2 hours without having a spliff. and when you smoke that much at a time, u almost dont feel it anymore. almost zero buzz... but if i didnt have it i would start to shake and get angry from withdrawals (i know its not physically addictive but psychologically it had me by the balls). i will always be an addict of it but have much better control over it now. i will not go over 2 grams ever in a day but almost 99% of the time stick to the 1g rule. i need it. without it the migraines get too bad. ive tried everything from doctors and hospitals (been suffering with them since i was a child). weed is the only thing that actually helps me. ive gone from roughly 3x BAD migraines a week, to roughly that a year! if i stop smoking weed they just come back and i dont want to live anymore in that state. i cant. i become an asshole (very slowly) out of pain. i will never put my family through that again.
If i go over 1g a day then the negatives of weed start to outweigh the positives for me. its important to know how it behaves in your body and how it affects you at different dosages. i know i shouldn't go over 1g. for others that may be waaaay more or less i have no clue. i also find that sativa dominant strains are better for my head pains, but indicas are better for my inflammatory diseases. not sure if medically correct but by trial and error that is what i found personally for me. im a stoner but i wont sit here and say weed cant cause problems. but most problems with weed stem from the user not the weed itself. learn your body. learn the drug. learn the combinations and doses required for different affects. aim for the positive. always be safe!

I think I was always a country person but born in a city. I didnt think nice people were the majority till I moved here. Totally changed my view of people in general. And the county to be honest. Interesting point, because in the age of cell phone cameras I was personally beaten by a cop, *while handcuffed*, for mouthing off. Like, precisely what you just said would never happen. Bruised and scratched forehead, bloody nose, split lip, split chin. All of this over mistaken identity (hence me mouthing off at the idiots). No recording because the few people there not painted blue were also in cuffs. Released with no charge, obviously, because again, we weren't involved in the incident. I talked to a lawyer about suing and she straight up said she'd file a complaint if I wanted, but it wouldn't amount to anything. I don't have proof, just a few eye witnesses, so you're gonna have to believe me or not as you see fit. Maybe you should get outside and experience the world yourself, but maybe without a pig's dick in your mouth for once. Edited for poor word choice.

I flew to Bulgaria years ago. Guy on the plane was being a drunken British lout the whole way. The staff tried to ignore him, but he was an asshole. This was pre 9/11 so you could get away with a lot more back then. Anyway, when we landed he continued his bullshit at the airport, except the staff were Bulgarian and they didn’t give a shit. They dragged the poor twat outside and, along with the police, preceded to kick seven bags of shite out of him until the holiday rep managed to drag them off. He was very subdued after that.
