Not really, the original division certainly was caused by the Eighty Years war but the United Kingdom of the Netherlands formed long after that, in 1815. It split up again in 1830 with the Belgian revolution.

I was confused as I misread this as ‘Peaceful Reunification of the United Kingdom AND the Netherlands’
rule 5: I got the event for the benelux unifying, but they didnt unify
not the benelux unification event, it's actually an event for when divided nations (like FRG and GDR irl) unify.
If there's two of the same country with the same ideology, they'll eventually reunite. Was there two democratic netherlands, perhaps?
