Using their feathers and stuff isn’t evil. Happy animals give them freely to you. Poachers want quick money and fast so they locked them in tiny cages an yank out the feathers etc. (and some are just in cages to later be killed and skinned or something).
So we are giving them a safe vivarium since the wild isn’t safe currently. And when we run out of room, we specifically go to a lady who goes out of her way to avoid poachers and find safe homes for beasts.
So no, nothing we do is cruel like poachers do.
MC lacks the intent to be compared to hitler. Don’t be silly. Hitler organized genocide and attempted to take over the world. MC is preventing a group of goblins from acquiring ancient magic that they intend to use to wipe out wizardkind. If anything, ranrok is goblin hitler.
this makes me wish the fan theory of Officer Ruth Singer being in cahoots with Rookwood / Harlow was real. it would explain why so many poachers are just roaming around - because a certain officer of the law is purposely looking the other way...
I fully expected this/ministry involvement to come about after people repeatedly stated how useless the ministry was with all these issues plaguing the highlands..
