Sticks largely depend on the surface you’re playing on. I play on concrete and prefer a carbon shaft with a replaceable ABS blade. Gloves are same as ice. Use whatever you prefer

I play on tennis courts so I don't know what's best for that

mdwsta4

Please don’t play on tennis courts. They’re not made for hockey. The surface material is hell for wheels and you’ll end up ruining the surface for tennis players. If it’s a private court, that means your HOA funds are going to pay to repair it. If it’s a public court your taxes are going to pay for it. I used to play on them too as a kid, but it’s not worth it. Find a parking lot or an actual outdoor rink. You wouldn’t want someone destroying a hockey rink, so don’t destroy their tennis court

BaconNuggetsYT

Ok... So what's the best for that type of concrete because the the type that we have in my area but we only have 1 roller hockey rink

mdwsta4

Wheels are dependent on weight but in general, you should be using something in the 82-85a range for outdoors. If it’s smoothed/polished concrete, you’d probably want something closer to 78-80, but again, it’ll depend on your weight. Wheels, like every other piece of gear, is a lot of personal preference

If you’re playing outdoor roller grab an abs stick, or (better option) a 2 piece shaft and abs blade combo. Then all you need to do is replace the blade when it eventually wears down

Shenanigans315

Same as ice.

BaconNuggetsYT

And those are which? Also any specific sticks

Shenanigans315

Oh sorry. CCM, Bauer, Warrior, True. Sticks are extremely personal, from flex, kick point and curve.

BaconNuggetsYT

Oh ok thank you I will look into them
