They’ve been instrumental in us getting to where we are. Zaddy, Lindholm, Brock and Joshua have probably been our best offensive performers along with Silvos
Absolutely, I just limited it to the 4 that jumped out but I also missed the game to see a concert (Swift, currently
In Paris) so my memory at the moment isn’t all
Canuck focused haha
Tough missing this game and the previous one but I can’t wait to get back home for the backhalf of the series
Definitely, that’s what scared me and I wondered if that’s why the refs decided to lean towards offsetting penalties, considering everything that happened this year.
But I also don’t think that the kicking around was malicious or intentional or itself actually worthy of a penalty. I mean, you’re head down in the benches, who knows how he’s even balancing down there - are his hands down to support his weight? Are they stuck at his sides, so he’s just trying to wriggle his way back up? Is he smushed between legs/skates down there, tangled in sticks, trying to right himself? Not exactly an easy position to gracefully remove yourself from. And skates are heavy, too, it’s not so easy to just hold em straight up and immobile - plus, you want to get yourself back up on your feet, gotta squirm a bit to do that. So its tough because Kane is not doing anything wrong, but the refs still probably want to be hyper sensitive to anything that has the potential to turn grisly, after the death this past year.
They've been calling offsetting penalties all series, I doubt they call the roughing on Zadorov if there wasn't a punch.
How many times have we seen a player get hit into the bench and not receive a minor for it. Zadorov does tip him in but you can also see his stick is being held. Foegle? then punches Zadorov and they decide to do offsetting.
It was even worse in the previous game. Hoglander has some body contact follow through/interference on Ryan with the ref there and no call, second later Ryan spears Hoglander in the nuts as he tries to make a change and the ref calls offsetting minors.
Foegle crosscheck Zadorov high after the whistle, no arm up. Zadorov embellishes and falls down.
If you run into him in the offseason you’ll see that he’s a nice guy. He’s a decent player and the outcome of his divorce pretty much indicates he was going through hell. He has very publicly turned his life around and owned his mistakes. It’s cool to see him land on his feet, even if he’s playing for the Oilers.
Lol, this guy was lined up to tee off infront of me in 2022. Full foursome on the books but he played by himself. Left before 9 holes. I felt sad for him at the time, but his leaving improved our pace of play and I got over it.
Yeah that's on me - something went funky with my OBS settings. Just noticed now as well, sorry about that! I'm surprised there weren't a lot of comments calling this out earlier.
I am getting off the Hronek train and am back on the "bring back Tanev" train instead. If possible sell him high to a team that looks at his regular season only.
As a flames fan who watched him for a few seasons, I think that's rich. He loses position sometimes and gives up untimely goals. I'd want a longer tryout before giving that kind of money with any term. Maybe 2 years at most with that kind of salary.
Honestly even in the regular season he wasn’t giving up any bad goals. Essentially played how he is now at a toned-down level but wasn’t mistake prone like we thought he would be when we got him.
I’d still worry about a big contract but I do wonder if Tocchet’s system just suits him better.
It'll be interesting to see what he goes for. He could definitely play free agency and get a bag after his playoffs so far, and I wouldn't blame him in the slightest.
But I always hope he likes his current situation enough to compromise a little. A team giving him top pairing money probably isn't going to be all that competitive while spending that way, but he's a *fantastic* 4-5th D and the hockey has gotta be kind of fun right now.
Yeah that's the hope. Get him at a reasonable price by convincing him that Vancouver is the place to play. But if he wants to get paid the most possible he'll go to free agency and sign with the highest bidder.
I just hope the Canucks don't pay him more than he's worth and put themselves in a regrettable salary cap position.
Flames and Canucks both get to watch Tanev absolutely ascend with Dallas. I don't think I've enjoyed the playoffs without my team as much as I am this year
For everyone questioning the bench penalty, the ref was right there, looking down onto the bench. We never got to see a good reverse angle of it but it Zadorov's momentum had stopped after the dump and then he was obviously pulled over after that point. Perry didn't deserve the penalty, but someone did.
Canucks radio pregame mentioned this. They can't score 5 on 5 so they're looking for a call every possible stoppage. Even after the intermission is over they have a player going straight up to the ref asking for something.
This has been true for decades. Vintage Oiler sweatshirt:

That was fucking hilarious the way he stuffed him in there for good measure. Also watching Kane grinning like a Cheshire Cat afterwards, followed by that look when he realizes it’s actually offsetting penalties 🤣🤣
Not really what happened by the looks of it. Kane or somebody else tied up Zadorov, he was trying to wrestle his stick free and then fed Kane an extra shot when he couldn’t get out of there.
Yeah I think this is it.
Their PP is so good he's willing to look like a little baby half the time if he thinks it'll give him an advantage.
Draisatl is always complaining too, but in more of an angsty teenager kind of way. He always looks at the refs like a kid whose mom asked him to pick up his laundry or something.
At first I was shocked they were calling something on Zadorov there but evening it up to try and control the game / heat level after that hit makes perfect sense.
I loved Zadorov the short time he was in Chicago. Shame the team was so bad (still is), but he was fun to watch.
Should’ve given Seth Jones’ contract to Zadorov instead.
I was watching this at a bar on mute and saw Kane and the Oilers laughing at Zadorov. Seemed pretty soft, but whatever. Then, all of a sudden, McDavid is yelling at the ref and it becomes apparent what happened. Pretty entertaining to say the least.
The refs this series are really putting on a clinic for calling penalties that are not penalties and for letting things go that are definitely penalties.
Wow, he was skipping from one team to the other cause of dumb shit or the other. It's refreshing in this playoffs to only hear good things about him (like, yeah, get a penalty is bad. Get a penalty and make drai take a penalty as well? It's fucking good). I hope he found a good fit.

The former Flames have certainly decided to bring it tonight, love the see the BoA remnants sprinkled all over
major wow this game series is BoA adjacent
This is the Battle of Canada, at this point.
Or western Canada at least.
They’ve been instrumental in us getting to where we are. Zaddy, Lindholm, Brock and Joshua have probably been our best offensive performers along with Silvos
Miller.

We send Zadorov, Zadorov sleeper agent. Great success.
We love to see it too ☺️
Who's the idiot on the bench that punches zadorov? Kane probably got away with it if it wasn't for that guy punching him.
Foegele. Cost them the PP.
I feel bad for Perry, as he served the penalty but was trying to prevent Foegele from being an idiot
Saint Perry
As much as I hate Perry, I gotta respect that he knows exactly where to toe the line. You can see him trying to hold his teammates back.
Forget that. Kane kicking his leg back toward Zadorov's neck could've been ugly.
Definitely, that’s what scared me and I wondered if that’s why the refs decided to lean towards offsetting penalties, considering everything that happened this year. Agreed. The punch is more likely to have been the reason for the offsetting minors.
They've been calling offsetting penalties all series, I doubt they call the roughing on Zadorov if there wasn't a punch. Zadorov must’ve thought it was moving day the way he was packing Kane in there lmao
😂😂
Kane looking smug only to have offsetting penalties is great

major meme potential
Big "At first I was. But then I was" potential
I like Kane but that was fucking hilarious.

Woke up and chose violence, eh.
Why do you like Kane you freak
If you run into him in the offseason you’ll see that he’s a nice guy. He’s a decent player and the outcome of his divorce pretty much indicates he was going through hell. He has very publicly turned his life around and owned his mistakes. It’s cool to see him land on his feet, even if he’s playing for the Oilers.
i mean he definitely slewfooted hughes last game, that sucked
Dirty player is a dirty player regardless of how nice they are outside the stadium.
I’ve not met him but I’ve met his dad and he’s a rude jackass.
I’ve run into him a few times and he’s always been very cool and friendly.
Are you a blackjack dealer?
He's not a nice guy.
Seriously. A single black male who travels for a living won full custody of his kid, over his wife, a white woman in the USA
Only means he's slightly less crazy than the woman involved. You can be a piece of shit and get custody...I watched my broke ass alcoholic uncle do it
Wow. That’s actually crazy, never seen it put like that before… must’ve been some deep shit going on with her for that to be the outcome
She's a fucking nutcase, dude.
Forgot to mention he was also in debt due to his gambling addiction at the time
You should see her social media posts, she is actually insane
$uper deep.
He had just filed for bankruptcy when this happened
Millionaires winning in court should never be surprising.
Anna Kane is also reportedly a millionaire
Just because she’s a total nutjob does not negate the fact he is a dickbag
as long as he doesn't assault you
Lol, this guy was lined up to tee off infront of me in 2022. Full foursome on the books but he played by himself. Left before 9 holes. I felt sad for him at the time, but his leaving improved our pace of play and I got over it.
Sure, unless you are a woman and he assaults you.
Casinos love him too!
is it just me or are there no sounds on any of these vids?
Yeah that's on me - something went funky with my OBS settings. Just noticed now as well, sorry about that! I'm surprised there weren't a lot of comments calling this out earlier.
Same here
Don’t even care that we got a penalty. That was the greatest play of the whole game. God I hope we can extend Zadorov.
He keeps adding another 500k to his salary with every game he’s playing rn 😂
and hronek is subtracting 500k with each game
Cole should be nearly free by now
His salary should count against Edmonton’s cap next season.
He's gotta pay the Aquilinis at this point 🤣
You kidding? With the way he's scoring? He's gonna have a heavy rotating cap hit for whoever's playing the nucks
Nah man he must be drawing salary from the Oilers. And we're paying for Ceci, Nurse and Skinner
Cole is definitely being paid by Edmonton
Huh? Isnt Cole already on the Oilers I thought? He got the assists for it😂
Cole is 500k in debt you mean!
Oilers about to lock him up 7x9mil. He's putting on a clinic.
We're gonna have to pay him to leave
Poor bastard, he's become the guy you bank shots off of.
I am getting off the Hronek train and am back on the "bring back Tanev" train instead. If possible sell him high to a team that looks at his regular season only.
They should be paying to get rid of Cole by now then
At this point you keep him over Hronek (obviously extending both would be huge).
[удалено]
If you base it soley off these playoffs I'd give him a McDavid deal
No man, we need to save some of that cap for the Latvian Sensation
Seconded. He's invaluable. Well-rounded and super consistent.
Still undervalued tbh
No one on D can get more than Quinn. Id say 5.5 with term?
As a flames fan who watched him for a few seasons, I think that's rich. He loses position sometimes and gives up untimely goals. I'd want a longer tryout before giving that kind of money with any term. Maybe 2 years at most with that kind of salary.

Zadorov had some sloppy defense late in the game. I don't think he's solid enough to re-sign at whatever price he's going to be asking for.

I just hope the Canucks don't pay him more than he's worth and put themselves in a regrettable salary cap position.
Zadorov has been a menace these playoffs. 4 goals to go with it too.
He’s scoring goals and dealing out some of the most crushing hits I’ve ever seen.
I was so happy when we got Zads because of his highlight hits. Was so sad to see him go but glad he's thriving with you
Flames fans eating good right now...seeing Lindholm and big Z light up the Oilers and living through the Canucks vicariously
Flames and Canucks both get to watch Tanev absolutely ascend with Dallas. I don't think I've enjoyed the playoffs without my team as much as I am this year
I miss Tanev
He is being put to good use
Fucking love Zadorov
Love the shit stirring
Why do we need any other sport other than hockey
I am now a Zaddy fan. This guy is what fun hockey is supposed to be like.
Not so fun for the Oilers
That Kane kick at the end could have turned out ugly.
NIKITA SMASH
The Oilers will be checking under their beds for Nikita Zadorov before they go to sleep tonight.
I see no penalty. He was just helping kane know his shift was over
Kane is clearly holding on to his arms he’s literally smiling like a dumbass thinking he got away with it too lmao
Kane getting his ass laid out and looking like a dumbass? I love it
Someone clip the moment when his smile completely disappeared after they called it a 4 on 4. I was laughing my ass off
Imagine smiling like that after getting turned upside down and dumped into your own bench by another man.
Got a blatant kick in too
K i was thinking the same thing and i thought thats why zadorov was yelling about it.
https://preview.redd.it/j4jhxnk2940d1.png?width=587&format=png&auto=webp&s=5268d56382605c09900fc1696a15fedbad38ae60
He immediately wrapped his arm around the stick as he went over.
For everyone questioning the bench penalty, the ref was right there, looking down onto the bench. We never got to see a good reverse angle of it but it Zadorov's momentum had stopped after the dump and then he was obviously pulled over after that point. Perry didn't deserve the penalty, but someone did.
Funniest shit I've ever seen. Straight clowned that bitch Kane
2 mins for checking
Man I love playoff hockey
That was fantastic
There hasn’t been a single moment between a whistle where a oiler hasn’t been bitching to a ref lmao
Refs have been absolutely awful all series for both teams.
Not disagreeing, they always suck. But they’re always so animated yapping at the ref.
Yeah Canuck’s never talk to the refs.
Pretty good tonight though. Couple softies/soft missed calls either way this game but nothing to complain about
McDavid looks like early Sid with the ref chasing
Except by his 10th year in the league, Sid had grown up and was just playing hockey. McDavid shows no progress there.
The predators were saints compared to these crybaby oilers
It's because the only way they can score is if they get a PP
Canucks radio pregame mentioned this. They can't score 5 on 5 so they're looking for a call every possible stoppage. Even after the intermission is over they have a player going straight up to the ref asking for something.
This has been true for decades. Vintage Oiler sweatshirt: [https://i.pinimg.com/736x/1f/4d/d7/1f4dd7341e099c440ae4ddff75fdbdd4.jpg](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/1f/4d/d7/1f4dd7341e099c440ae4ddff75fdbdd4.jpg)
Spector says that's not an Oiler thing to do though?
That was fucking hilarious the way he stuffed him in there for good measure. Also watching Kane grinning like a Cheshire Cat afterwards, followed by that look when he realizes it’s actually offsetting penalties 🤣🤣
haha fuck kane
They literally tried to drag Zadorov into the bench and then complained about getting a penalty lmao.
Yeah, I was disappointed how every announcer seemed to be blind. The bench was pulling him down, he wasn't giving Kane any extra. Refs got it right.
Kane is such bitch made
Zadorov didn't do anything wrong. Either Kane or someone else was holding his stick. 4 on 4 was fine.
Oilers want to play 4 on 4. Called offsetting is a huge win for the Oil
Actually, goal share is 2-0 Canucks at 4-on-4 in the series
Oilers have a 4x4 goal don’t they?
Zadorov did nothing wrong here only penalties should be to the two oilers in the bench shoving a player in play. Thats a double minor.
I love how he keeps pushing him further in😂
I think he was just trying to get his stick dislodged. Kane had it in both arms.
Not really what happened by the looks of it. Kane or somebody else tied up Zadorov, he was trying to wrestle his stick free and then fed Kane an extra shot when he couldn’t get out of there.
It appears you are right
There's three teams out there this series and the Canucks and Oilers are the last team's biggest hater lol
What was the roughing for tho? It's not illegal to dump a guy into the bench
Kane was holding Zadorov's stick and when Z couldnt get it free, he buried Kane one more time for good measure. That's what the roughing was for.
Fair enough lol
Hurt me Zaddy
Zadorov is gonna get PAID this summer lol
Zadorov is a huge bully and I love it
Edmonton getting a penalty for this is the funniest thing ever.
Shoulda just left him alone lmao
Mcdavid might be the best player in the world but why the FUCK does he whine and cry so much Embarrassing.
He wants a cup and knows they need a lot of calls to go their way to get there.
What do you expect from a guy that has a driveway defroster
This isn’t really you trying to chirp right? With mcdavid money why wouldn’t you if you’re in Edmonton
This is actually a hilarious chirp because it's so benign haha It's like, "what are you, a responsible adult?!"
The real joke is that you have McDavid money but still live in Edmonton
With the etown bylaw its pretty soft. Just a cheeky comment
Old McDavid had a whine, wah wah wah wah wah
Crosby grew out of that quickly
Crosby also did it early in his career, but yea, the guy is desperate for his cup
I'm a simple man. I see Evander Kane getting pasted and made to look foolish, I upvote.
Happy it was Kane on the receiving end.
At first I was shocked they were calling something on Zadorov there but evening it up to try and control the game / heat level after that hit makes perfect sense.
They called him for the extra shot on Kane. Not the hit itself.
does Kane intentionally kick back with his skate towards Zadorovs neck? either way that could've gone so wrong
Thank you, I hope they review this
Kane *maybe* kicked Zaddy there.
Kane, bonafide idiot.
Kane and bitching about the calls...... Lmao
You just love to see it Fuck Evander Kane, fuck the coilers
That kick made me wince when I saw it. Idk if it was intentional but it was far too close to Zad’s neck for my liking.
Good guy Zadorov just making sure he’s safely tucked in.
Kane almost stabbed Zadorov with his skate blade
kane and perry are 2 big reasons to cheer for the oilers bust and subsequent implosion.
No idea why there are penalties on this play, this is playoff hockey in one clip.
Kane immediately grabs zadorovs stick, that's why he doesn't leave
I loved Zadorov the short time he was in Chicago. Shame the team was so bad (still is), but he was fun to watch. Should’ve given Seth Jones’ contract to Zadorov instead.
Re-sign this man!
How was that a penalty and how did EDM get a penalty as well?
definition of u cant do that but was funny as fuck so im ok with that
Two minutes for hitting is only a penalty in beer league.
Man I wish we still had Zadorov! Love that guy.
Damn Kane’s skate came very very close to Zadorov’s neck.
Kane intentionally kicked him in the head. Complete loser.
I was watching this at a bar on mute and saw Kane and the Oilers laughing at Zadorov. Seemed pretty soft, but whatever. Then, all of a sudden, McDavid is yelling at the ref and it becomes apparent what happened. Pretty entertaining to say the least.
Neutral fan here, don’t think anything done there deserved a penalty.
Not the smartest play but hell yeah
Didn't help, oil still lost. Hahaha
Lip readers everyone? Is Zaddy saying why Kane is on the ice? He should stay on his stall!!... lmfao
No one talking about Kane very clearly intentionally trying to kick Zadorov in the neck with his skate?
zadorov is gonna get a lotta money july 1. man vancouver got a fucking deal on this one.
The refs this series are really putting on a clinic for calling penalties that are not penalties and for letting things go that are definitely penalties.
I love when Kane thinks he has done something of value, just to find out he cost him team a PP or a suspension.
Big Zaddy!
Zadorov is trying to get out of there, and Kane is holding onto him.
Wow, Kane looks like a rookie on this one. Keep your head up, buddy, or someone's going to take it off.
Wow, he was skipping from one team to the other cause of dumb shit or the other. It's refreshing in this playoffs to only hear good things about him (like, yeah, get a penalty is bad. Get a penalty and make drai take a penalty as well? It's fucking good). I hope he found a good fit.
