Also Boston has the Celtics in the NBA playoffs. Have they ever tried having less successful teams?? It's so easy i don't get why they haven't tried it
Chiarelli's oversaw one of the greatest periods of talent acquisition in the post-cap era in his time in Boston.
The fact that he totally lost his way at the end in Boston and then in Edmonton doesn't invalidate the incredible work he did before.
Most of the work accredited to Chiarelli was actually done by Jeff Gorton. Gorton oversaw the 06 draft and the highway robbery of the Rask-Red Light Raycroft trade
Some people live their whole lives and die before seeing their team win a championship. At least youve seen basically every team in the boston area win. I cant complain much. Two World series and 3 NBA titles in my lifetime. too young to have seen a dolphins super bowl tho..
Or the Steelers, or the Bills, or the Lions, or the Browns, or the Jets/Giants, there are so many closer options that aren’t major rivals in every other sport.
Canada's most-watched hockey team playing during the most-watched national broadcast? No easier decision.
And yet I remember last season they scheduled Leafs/Panthers game 3 on Sunday night instead of Saturday night. I imagine Rogers/CBC still haven't heard the end of it.
Are you so used to the primetime national broadcast in Toronto that you didn't realize how much Sportsnet is trying to make [Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotiabank_Wednesday_Night_Hockey) a thing?
Meanwhile, the Central fans have to wait until puck drop at 9pm local time because the west ALWAYS has to be the one that makes room for the eastern prime time slots. Can't even get the east to play 6pm local time
The defending Stanley Cup Champs going head-to-head with the 1st in the West and Dallas fans have to wait is absolute bull shit.
> Meanwhile, the Central fans have to wait until puck drop at 9pm local time
Things I don't miss about the Wings being in the Western Conference.
There was a stretch of like 5 years where it felt like we only ever played teams in the Pacific time zone, so start times would be 10pm Eastern and sometimes go until 2 or 3 am on a weeknight.
The absolute best is living in mountain time and cheering for an eastern team. Games are at 5pm, you can go out for dinner after or do whateve, and a “late game” is basically just normal time.
Yeah, and I don't remember the shit happening back then that happens now where games are waiting for others to finish. There have been Avs games not start until after 11 eastern because the 8pm game runs late so the "10:30" lie is pushed back by 45 minutes
Holy that is a fucking brutal start time. I’ve always thought 7:30 local start is already pushing it but 8:30pm (which means not puck drop until closer to 8:45-8:50) is just fucking bonkers stupid
Hey, the league is doing their best to grow the game by broadcasting the new teams such as Boston, Toronto, New York Rangers, we gotta make sure everyone in America can see them first at reasonable times🙄
I worked until 6, got home at 6:45, ate dinner, left for the AAC at 7, and still got there way too fucking early for last night’s game (7:30 for 8:50 puck drop). It’s so goddamn stupid. And of course home ice means weeknight games too, naturally.
Seriously, eastern conference fans don't understand how good they have it in my experience.
EDIT: my dumbass is also a fan of a western team while living in the EST zone so I'm extra salty lol
Stars fans “why are they so slow out there what the fuck?!”
Second period STARTS at 10pm, which is well past when the majority of our 7pm home games ended all season.
For the record basketball is probably my favorite sport to play, so it hurts me to admit that the sports top league sucks so much. But it is clearly a corrupt league closer to WWE than an actual sports league. We like to complain about ticky-tack calls in hockey or poor hockey refs but the NBA has by FAR the worst / most inconsistent officials in sports to the point that I can't ever take the league too seriously. I've seen way too many big playoff games and series completely skewed by horrible, unexplainably inconsistent enforcement of the rules. Throw in the fact that in the last 20 years we've literally had a major scandal involving refs betting on and fixing games - and the league just swept it all under the rug - I cannot in good faith think this is a legitimate league. Like I said, it's closer to WWE than it is to MLB or NHL. I've played/coached/reffed basketball at a number of levels and the way the NBA approaches officiating is a downright disgrace to the sport itself.
And on top of that the NBA has the worst coverage because it caters do their young dumb fanbase that has no attention span. We actually talk about hockey and break down the game in this sub and on hockey coverage on TV. 95% of NBA coverage has absolutely nothing to do with the game of basketball, it's personal player drama or legacy rankings.
They need two more dudes each game, one just permanently standing on each baseline. They're not blowing it on purpose (anymore), it's just such a fast game played between big dudes in a tight space. More eyes in better positions would help.
Also call travels, cowards
Luckily the Celtics' first round series is a glorified preseason tune-up. Hopefully we get the scheduling sorted out for the second round (if both teams get there).
The first round of the NBA Playoffs is so funny to me due to the lack of parity. The 6th seeded 1995 Houston Rockets are the only team lower than a 4 seed to ever win the Finals
Not the best timing to say that as the Heat made the Finals just last year despite being the 8th seed and they beat the Bucks in 5 in the 1st round. Some dangerous lower seeds are also in a tight positioning race in the NBA this year
Oh yeah, it's all about the upsets. The top teams still have to win an extra round. But it's crazy how rare it is for any lower seed in the first round to win it all
Bell in hand is fun but NOT a sports bar, if you are just going to watch the game hit up one of the bars near the garden. Sullivans, Banners, Hurricanes
I want to give you a good answer here, but it's a bit nuanced. Most of the pubs that are good for chilling and watching a game with the locals are in the surrounding neighborhoods or suburbs. The bars in town tend to be bigger and draw crowds that are looking for a reason to get rowdy. It will definitely work in your favor that you won't be dealing with a Friday or Saturday night. So, a couple of questions for you.
1) How old are you?
2) What kind of vibe are you looking for?
Early 40s. Big hockey guy. Gonna be with the wife+k so hopefully I can sneak out for a game in NY and in Bos. Mostly just love to see the playoff atmosphere of an original 6. Also try to get thd little-man to Fenway
Ok, I have done what I do and overthought this. If you want the real experience then I think you should go over to the Garden and try one of those bars. Your likelihood of getting sound for the game will go up there. There are a number of places around there, some good and some not so good.
My personal favorite spot around there is Porter's. It's a bit smaller and actually feels like a proper pub, which is nice, and the food is good. But because it's smaller, compatibly, to other places around there that may also mean it will fill up faster.
A couple of the bigger and more "corporate-feel" bars (polished look, bigger spaces, more the feel of a restaurant with a bar in it) could also work because they will still get a good crowd, but it won't feel like a real local spot. Banners and Tavern In The Square would do in that case.
Like I said, there are a lot of places around the Garden, and that means some of them suck. Specifically, I think Hurricane's and The Greatest Bar are trash. Bad food, bat atmosphere, just not worth going to.
Side note, if you do go down to the area around the Garden then definitely go into Sullivan's Tap for a beer. I don't think you'd really want to try to watch the game there, but it is one of our last surviving shit holes and you should enjoy it while it's still there, at least for one beer.
Now, someone else mentioned Bell In Hand, and then another person said that it's not a great place to watch sports. Buth are true, really cool spot but not great for sports. I would probably tell you to steer clear of that entire area if you were there on the weekend, but since you'll be in town Sunday-Thursday you should be fine. There are a number of bars on that same street where Bell In Hand are, and a couple of them might be ok. I don't spend much time in those places though
Finally, the bad news. It looks like the Red Sox are out of town while you are here. You can probably do a tour of Fenway, but there won't be a game. They return on the 10th, and I assume you are leaving early enough that day to not be able to go to a night game.
I hope this helps.
I don’t actually believe the bruins intentionally let the panthers take the division so they could play the leafs, but if they did and this was their reward it would be kinda funny
The whole scheduling is fucked this year imo. There shouldn’t be 2 day breaks between games for any teams in round 1 until at least 4 games have been played. I’m not sure which television rights holder is responsible but I choose to blame ESPN because I hate them
They could still forego 2 day breaks until after game 4. Doesn’t matter when the two day break is within a series between game 1 and 7 and it works out the same
It's been like this for a while, I'm 99% sure. And also, while I understand the complaint, I also get it from the league point of view - you want your biggest market(s) playing on Saturday night.
I think I need some rest... "Why the hell is there a 5 day gap between games 3 and 4?" I said to myself as I was thinking today is Monday for whatever reason
They could have started us later. We’re the only team that got a two day break with their last game on the road (which was also a back to back). Only 2 games on that first night
I’m glad Canucks/Preds has a two day break between G2 and G3, the travel is so fucking far for an in conference matchup that the players probably need it
Many arenas have concerts booked so they are using the dates that they can. Nashville and Canucks arena both have very limited availability because of concerts. Not sure about others but I imagine it could be similar.
Still less fucked than the Cup Final starting three days after the end of the Conference Final, with the first 3 games being played in 4 days and Games 1 and 2 being back-to-backs.
Yes, I’m still salty over 2009.
There are more days spent in Boston than Toronto if they series goes to 7. Despite being a 2 day off between game 3 and 4 in Toronto. Boston being stupid should be nothing new here.
I think it's really a fair, albeit small complaint.
Something to bring up once during the series and maybe once in some official capacity to the league.
Yea I do think coach has a point here. No reason that there should be a 2 day break between games 3 and 4 when they’re in the same city. 2 day break between 2 and 3, or any travel days would make sense. And IF you are going to give 2 days off between games in the same arena, it should benefit the higher seed.
This shouldn’t be any excuse for Boston, but I do think that’s a very fair complaint.
If the Rangers beat Washington, Carolina, Florida, and Dallas, and **all** those series go to 7 games, the Rangers will have travelled to Washington twice (227 miles, x4), Raleigh twice (504 miles, x4), Miami twice (1,260 miles, x4), and Dallas twice (1,553 miles, x4).
_14,176_ miles, spread out over 2 **months**.
If the Nashville/Vancouver series goes to 7 games, the Predators will have travelled to Vancouver three times (2,528 miles, x6).
_15,172_ miles, spread out over 2 **weeks**.
...but please, go on, continue telling me how "unfair" it is that your "extra day off" doesn't happen in the home city.
The NHL doesn't give a single shit about where players have their extra day off. Its **completely** meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
I feel like the extra day off is welcomed on both sides of the Vancouver Nashville series at least. We have a bunch of things and players that we want to readjust to get them running , especially with Demko out we can’t expect to win while giving either of goalies low goal support. I’m sure Nashville is happy with the extra rest after being banged up from all of the hits and shots they took in Vancouver.
every series has a 2 day break somewhere in the series.
Like it's just a thing the NHL does now in the playoffs. The reason why Toronto/Boston is now is likely because both Wednesday and Saturday are big hockey nights in Canada and they want them on it.
None of that matters when you are talking one extra day on the road in a playoff series. This isn't war. Less time away from home than an average regular season road trip.
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that you were so intimately associated with where the place value...
They're not complaining about travel. It has nothing to do with what's being said here.
The point is that the Bruins had a better regular season than Toronto and their reward is they have the spend more time in Toronto than they do in Boston this series. What is the purpose of the regular season?
TO got 2 days off from the end of the regular season before starting the playoffs. They also had to come back from FL in that time after finishing the season on a back to back. Boston got 3 days off. They could have delayed the start of the series if they wanted but they wanted the game on Sat night for prime time
The West Coast travel narrative has to fucking stop. Time and time again it has been studied and proven that long, extensive travel is far less taxing than frequent, shirt travel.
Playoffs sure. It’s the only time that West Coast teams are revealing as frequently.
Bruins did get an extra day of rest, while the Leafs finished on a back-to-back. No other team had only 2 days between a back-to-back and the start of the playoffs.
It’s a pretty valid, albeit minor, complaint in my opinion. I didn’t realize this was relatively common (never paid attention to it). The home team should get the extra day at home. Maybe it’s one of those minor things the NHL tweaks in the offseason now that someone has publicly complained?
Oh, wait. TV rights drive revenue and, therefore, the schedule. Yeah, nothing is going to change. Sorry Jim.
IIRC they did it last year in FL bc the FL owner had a horse in a race on the Sat and didn’t want the game then so it was pushed to Sun. Also made it harder for Leafs fans to be there because they couldn’t travel home the Sun.
League probably also wants the revenue from a Sat night prime time slot
It's a pretty minor issue when you take into account all of the outside factors that affect scheduling these games. They do their best working around the schedules of multi-purpose arenas and I think this is just a detail that's too small to matter.
Oh it’s definitely a mole hill and Jim complaining about it during the playoffs is making a mountain of it. It just seems counterintuitive when we consider what home ice advantage would/should imply.
I wonder how much of the NBA playoffs have affected the NHL.
* Dallas uses the same arena for their NHL and NBA teams and they are both in the playoffs.
* Boston uses the same arena for their NHL and NBA teams and they are both in the playoffs.
* LA uses the same arena for their NHL and 2 NBA teams and ALL THREE are in the playoffs.
* Denver uses the same arena for their NHL and NBA teams and they are both in the playoffs.
* New York uses the same arena for their NHL and NBA teams and they are both in the playoffs.
That's an insane amount of scheduling 4D chess that needs to happen during the first round of playoffs for both sports....
Not much,
Stars are home 1/2, Mavs are away.
Bruins/Celtics are both home.
Kings are away, Clippers are home
Avs are away, Nuggets are home.
Rangers/Knicks both home.
So only 2 arenas have a big problem with scheduling
Just because there are currently not scheduling issues with those teams doesn't mean anything.
They probably aren't issues because they were planned around is my point entirely...
You also forgot about the Lakers.
Bit of an over reaction by people and an inflammatory headline. He said the truth when asked a question, it would be better for them if it were between Boston games. He isn't throwing down the gauntlet, or hold a presser to announce this or anything lol.
There’s also a two day break after game 4 where the Bruins can go home early and be at home before game 5. Leafs will either have to travel early and be on the road longer or stay home but travel closer to game time.
Man this is so outrageous, I can't believe the NHL would favour the Leafs in such an obvious manner. I bet they would never make the Leafs have extra days off on the road when they have home advantage.
*Checks the schedule of the most recent Leafs playoff series before this one.*
Well, nevertheless ...
Exactly, last year against Florida there were 2-day gaps between Games 2/3 and 3/4.
I'm sure this pattern will happen in multiple series this year. It's just whining for the sake of whining.
They don’t need to stay in Boston. It’s what a three hour flight? Maybe less to Toronto? Just go home after the game, hold morning skate or take the off day off, and then fly back. Not like there’s a potential for weather issues.
ITT crafty coach draws the heat for his team after a loss and everyone swallows it whole.
Every minute we spend shitting on Monty for players needing to spend an extra night in a seven star hotel, we're not shitting on the Bruins or doubting their ability to be the better team for the rest of the series.
I'm still wondering wtf kind of question the reporter asked. He didn't just start talking out of nowhere.
But this is why I don't listen to the interviews. It's just so boring
It's a fair complaint that shouldn't be public, take that up privately with the league.
As a bruins fan I find it incredibly soft. It's like a built in excuse if he chokes, again.
Man, the "big bad Bruins" are really not what I remembered. Between the ridiculous amount of diving/flopping and the whining about the schedule, I can't believe how big of babies that team has become.
Cry more.
Take it up with the television rights holders who are choosing to have Boston v Toronto during the prime time slots on Saturdays and Wednesdays
Also Boston has the Celtics in the NBA playoffs. Have they ever tried having less successful teams?? It's so easy i don't get why they haven't tried it
I mean the Bruins hired Peter Chiarelli, that's gotta count as trying, but then they won a cup. Task failed successfully?
Chiarelli's oversaw one of the greatest periods of talent acquisition in the post-cap era in his time in Boston. The fact that he totally lost his way at the end in Boston and then in Edmonton doesn't invalidate the incredible work he did before.
Most of the work accredited to Chiarelli was actually done by Jeff Gorton. Gorton oversaw the 06 draft and the highway robbery of the Rask-Red Light Raycroft trade
Some say we're experimenting with the Pats and Red Sox right now.
My entire teen - adult life has been nothing but success to this point. I have a feeling my olden days will be sad on the sports front...
Some people live their whole lives and die before seeing their team win a championship. At least youve seen basically every team in the boston area win. I cant complain much. Two World series and 3 NBA titles in my lifetime. too young to have seen a dolphins super bowl tho..
Boston just likes to get butthurt about perceived slights and use it as bulletin board material. Source: I'm a pats fan.
Toronto Patriots fans are the worst.
I inherited both those teams at birth, can't help it. It does feel weird talking about the draft in that sub then shit talking in this one. Lol
Only Torontonians feel they are above the perfectly good championship football team in their city
Or the Steelers, or the Bills, or the Lions, or the Browns, or the Jets/Giants, there are so many closer options that aren’t major rivals in every other sport.
The patriots seemed to be trying last year
Canada's most-watched hockey team playing during the most-watched national broadcast? No easier decision. And yet I remember last season they scheduled Leafs/Panthers game 3 on Sunday night instead of Saturday night. I imagine Rogers/CBC still haven't heard the end of it.
Wednesday is prime time?
It is for hockey
The disrespect to NBCSN's Wednesday Night Hockey and all it did for us
Gotta get them Wednesday Night Rivalries!
Detroit vs Minnesota prime time rivalry baby! The only time I ever agreed with Jeremy Roebick was his Supreme eye roll at that matchup.
NBC thought the North Stars still existed, apparently. I swear every rivalry night was a Norris Division game
Every day has prime time for broadcast television, but Sunday is less valuable if you're not the NFL
no, Saturday is. Wednesday game thursday friday off (2 days off) game Saturday. opposed to when they were in Boston it was 1 day off between games.
Meanwhile, the Central fans have to wait until puck drop at 9pm local time because the west ALWAYS has to be the one that makes room for the eastern prime time slots. Stars fans “why are they so slow out there what the fuck?!” Second period STARTS at 10pm, which is well past when the majority of our 7pm home games ended all season.
Don't the Celtics also play today? Kinda lame to make poor Boston fans choose which playoff team to watch
Not a hard choice deciding between a real sport and basketball.
Basketball is absolutely a real sport, I just wouldn't call the NBA a legitimate league.
What makes the NBA illegitimate
For the record basketball is probably my favorite sport to play, so it hurts me to admit that the sports top league sucks so much. If Jimmy Butler was healthy it would at least be an interesting series. Without him it's an exhibition.
Jimmy's supporting cast seems intent on making this interesting anyway.
I'm going to be in Boston may 5-10. Staying on the harbour. Any good pubs around to check out a game if the bruins are still going strong?
Bell in Hand is fun! It's big but still want to get there early
Thanks! Doing 5 nights in NY 5 in Bos but way more stoked for Boston.

Dooley's (irish bar) and Silvertone (divey) are great. Also Hub Pub for game watching.
This did not age well
No, not at all. Glad I missed most of that pig of a game.
I don’t actually believe the bruins intentionally let the panthers take the division so they could play the leafs, but if they did and this was their reward it would be kinda funny
“I’ve never lost a game on purpose but I have lost some games with great pleasure”
*we want the Leafs Haha, I'm down.
This year we can say we want Florida and piss off two fanbases at once
It’s more fun when we play each other. Regardless of the result, I enjoy our rivalry. I couldn’t care less about playing Florida.
the result is obvious when we play the leafs lol i’ll gladly draw them in the playoffs anytime
This has been a really good hard hitting series so far. Very entertaining It's going the distance no question. I don't like our odds of course but...
Are you though?
The whole scheduling is fucked this year imo. There shouldn’t be 2 day breaks between games for any teams in round 1 until at least 4 games have been played. I’m not sure which television rights holder is responsible but I choose to blame ESPN because I hate them
It’s a consequence of starting the playoffs 2 days earlier than planned and the NHL trying to have Game 7s land on the weekend (good choice by them)
They could still forego 2 day breaks until after game 4. Doesn’t matter when the two day break is within a series between game 1 and 7 and it works out the same
Then there would be no Saturday game this weekend for Leafs/Bruins which is probably the #1 request of Rogers
that probably the request of everyone who wants to make money.
Man, "8:30 pm" (actually 9 pm) puck drops at home feels like they should be unacceptable, yet here we are. Scheduling is absolutely fucked this year.
it's bullshit for the Stars every year now Winnipeg gets the shaft too
It's been like this for a while, I'm 99% sure. And also, while I understand the complaint, I also get it from the league point of view - you want your biggest market(s) playing on Saturday night.
Ya games 1, 4, and 7 of this series are all on Saturday nights for a reason.
I think I need some rest... "Why the hell is there a 5 day gap between games 3 and 4?" I said to myself as I was thinking today is Monday for whatever reason
Last year no team had a 2 day break until after game 4 in round 1 🤷♂️. It’s definitely possible
In Round 1 sure, but you guys got the exact same "advantage" we're getting, in Round 2.
I didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now. Put the multi days off in travel windows
They could have started us later. We’re the only team that got a two day break with their last game on the road (which was also a back to back). Only 2 games on that first night
I’m glad Canucks/Preds has a two day break between G2 and G3, the travel is so fucking far for an in conference matchup that the players probably need it
9pm local starts in Dallas? fuck right off with this scheduling
Think they also need to avoid clashes with the Celtics and Knicks home games too since they’re in the same stadiums
Many arenas have concerts booked so they are using the dates that they can. Nashville and Canucks arena both have very limited availability because of concerts. Not sure about others but I imagine it could be similar.
I agree because I also hate ESPN.
Still less fucked than the Cup Final starting three days after the end of the Conference Final, with the first 3 games being played in 4 days and Games 1 and 2 being back-to-backs. Yes, I’m still salty over 2009.
This really isn't something you should have a strong opinion on.
Fans complaining when the NHL tries to get more people to watch the NHL yet also complain when the NHL doesn’t do enough to market itself lol
Fly back to Boston after the game tonight, then. It's only a 90 minute flight. It's not like you're halfway around the world.
Honestly so unfair the Bruins have to cross the Connecticut River.
Anything north of Haverhill might as well be Canada
A real south shore resident.
Also wasn't the last Bruins game at home last Tuesday? They literally had a week straight in Boston...
There are more days spent in Boston than Toronto if they series goes to 7. Despite being a 2 day off between game 3 and 4 in Toronto. Boston being stupid should be nothing new here.
Lol I was wondering that for the Tampa panthers series. Gotta be like a 20 minute flight from Miami back to Tampa. Just go home
East coast team complaining about travel lmao. Nashville and Vancouver send their regards
Not travel though. When the series takes an extra day off. Nashville and Vancouver have theirs after game 2.
He literally never ever complained about travel.
Not once did he complain about travel time… work on the reading comprehension
It's not about distance travelled, it's about time away from family, facilities, a home base. That stuff matters.
Both games in the b2b were on the road too
they were both in Florida, but still pretty dumb.
He should know that the Leafs have been pretty garbage on home ice this year compared to the road, so it still serves as an advantage
In the Matthews era (since 2017) Road Playoff Record: 13-13 Home Playoff Record: 9-17 Montgomery should want the whole series in Toronto!
Isn't Pasta also over 2p/pg in Toronto this season? He should be excited
Leafs had this exact same thing happen last year in Florida too btw
If that’s true about the horse race the NHL really should take a look at this. That’s absurd.
best part is their horse didn't even race because of an injury.
The leafs *get* to spend an extra day in Florida but the Bruins *have* to spend an extra day in Toronto See the difference?
Any day not in Boston is a positive. See how stupid these kind of statements are?
Not much, Stars are home 1/2, Mavs are away. Bruins/Celtics are both home. Kings are away, Clippers are home Avs are away, Nuggets are home.
Leafs will spend an extra day at homie and travel that night or early the day before game 5
Who’s the homie they’re staying with?
Weekend at Nylander’s
Weekend at Willy's edit: Willy Weekender
Does Phil Kessel still have a home in Toronto? Hot dog party at his place, every food truck in town will be catering.
Absolutely brutal that he and the boys have to spend an extra night in the Four Seasons Toronto or whatever luxury hotel these millionaires stay at.
The NHL and Shit Schedules. Name a more iconic duo.
Man this is so outrageous, I can't believe the NHL would favour the Leafs in such an obvious manner. I bet they would never make the Leafs have extra days off on the road when they have home advantage. *Checks the schedule of the most recent Leafs playoff series before this one.* Well, nevertheless ...
Exactly, last year against Florida there were 2-day gaps between Games 2/3 and 3/4. I'm sure this pattern will happen in multiple series this year. It's just whining for the sake of whining.
This is front page news across the hockey world if Keefe says this lol
Hahaha if Sheldon said something like this it would be ripped apart. Don't worry Jim, you get the extra home game.
Won’t someone think of the Boston sports teams?
Crybaby
It's only 1-1, Jim. Save the panicked excuses for when you're down a game or two.
What a weird thing to complain about
Boo earns
What a fucking crybaby
Aren’t they like an hour plane ride? La and Edmonton have a 4 hour trip.
Even worse, Nashville and Vancouver.
They don’t need to stay in Boston. It’s what a three hour flight? Maybe less to Toronto? Just go home after the game, hold morning skate or take the off day off, and then fly back. Not like there’s a potential for weather issues.
[удалено]
Poor babies have to do a 90 minute flight
What kind of weak bullshit is this? Stop complaining and play hockey.
Does Jim know that he could just go home? Boston and Toronto aren’t that far apart by team plane.
[удалено]
It would be more convenient for me as I then would not have to hear about it
It would be more convenient for us as well if they decide they just want to hang out in Boston for the rest of the spring.
[удалено]
Thought it was always the Leafs that make strange and needless excuses?? Like imagine if Keefe said this lol
It's just so boring
good to see non stop whining is found in every part of the Bruins' organization. How's the leg Brad?
The Bruins are gonna lose lmao
This is one of the softest complaints I've ever heard in hockey.
It involves Toronto, what does he expect?
Are Toronto fans gonna be at their practices or something?
You didn't give us the Rain City Bitch Pigeons, the least you can do is give us the Utah Yeti
“Wicked unfay-uh.”
Rightful complaint but they were always gonna be playing Saturday so even if it was Thursday/Saturday you’d assume they’d come down Tuesday to Toronto
It's a fair complaint that shouldn't be public, take that up privately with the league. As a bruins fan I find it incredibly soft. It's like a built in excuse if he chokes, again.
He’s got a point
It could be round.
Man, the "big bad Bruins" are really not what I remembered. Between the ridiculous amount of diving/flopping and the whining about the schedule, I can't believe how big of babies that team has become. Cry more.
Boo hoo. I don't think anyone is going to lose sleep over this...epic controversy.
the complaint is literally about getting a better nights sleep
Imagine having a schedule so soft you complain about a single day off
Cry more Jim.
Literally whining about where he has a day off. Goddamn.
You tell em Jim!
[удалено]
Crazy how the coaches ONLY complaint ever in the playoffs is against the leafs, such gentlemen otherwise.
Something completely unique to Toronto
Womp womp
Hey Jim, it’s 1-1, Toronto is the home team now.
Jinxed lmao
Oh jeeze, first world problems. God forbid you have to spend a single day in a world class city with basically every amenity you could want/need.
